Wow oh wow. Could not put this book down, no matter what. It moves along at the perfect speed for reading, which was neither too fast nor too slow. It has amazing characters that you will fall in love with and want to see overcome everything that may get in their way of succeeding. The story is awesome. Once you start reading, you will not be able to stop until you reach the last page. This book is a must read, you will not be sorry that you did.

Meh
The characters were flat and unrealistic. The main character goes from being shy and relatively inexperienced to having a threesome in an hour. There was no build up to the sex scenes and that is all this book is.

First things first. This is a fast paced novella. Novellas are known to move quickly and don't typically have a lot of plot to go along with it. So if you are looking for a plot driven book, this will not be what you are looking for. However, if you are looking for a fast paced, snowed in, spicy read with 4 delicious men, then you have come to the right place.
This is the first book in the Break series. It is no longer published by itself, so you would need to look for Break Vol 1 OR the Omnibus.
We literally jump right into the story. There is not a whole lot of build up. The scene is set very early on and we don't see a lot of history leading us up to the story. However, the author does give flashbacks where it is necessary.
Jamie is in her first year of college. Winter break is almost here and she just has to finish her exams. While most of the students have already done so, she has one left on the very last day. A situation is going to push her from her room and send her to the library. In her attempt to get there, she runs into Cody (super hot football player). And the two of them will find themselves heading to the library together. Also at the library are Taylor, Darren, and Dex. Jamie finds herself surrounded by sexy college men who seem to have an attraction to her that she can't explain. And when the library loses power due to the snowstorm, the five of them will end up trapped for the night.
What Jamie doesn't know is these boys have a few secrets. Before the night ends, Jamie will learn a few things, but not about American Lit like she planned.
What I really enjoyed was the pacing of the story. It flows well even though it's fast paced. There is not a lot of background story that wasn't needed to fill the pages. It's pretty direct. There is a storyline developing, which I suspect will progress over the next few books. There are not many "background" characters, which I honestly liked. We focused on the main characters and watching the relationships evolve. Jamie has different connections with all four men and we get to see those form because there aren't a lot of outside characters.
The spice is not immediate, but it shows up quickly...and just gets hotter.
Moving on to the next book, but highly recommend checking this one out <3

Um, this book was really unexpected due to the title and cover but as soon as I dived in and I wasn't even 2 chapters in when it started getting steamy and angsty. Jamie gets out of the university to study but there is a storm coming, she goes to the library with Cody, her classmate. She enters and meets Darren, Dexter, and Taylor who are all friends and smoking hot. They all know her for some reason but she knows only some of them. They quickly become friends and they play games but those games soon turn into butterflies in her stomach and she's aroused but also embarrassed by the questions and the guys are so cheesy and dominating at the same time especially Dexter, like he's the most dominating, Cody is the sweet guy, Darren is unexpecting, and Taylor is caring and dominating. I would like to become their submissive or anything they want me to be. I really enjoyed it but this book was pure SMUT and 4 at the same time like I need new undergarments. I rate it a 4/5 but the smut has an even higher rating which is of course a 5/5. I need a Dexter in my life, he is so morally grey it hits me in all the right places. He's so playful but also so dominant and when he asks her a question and she nods instead of answering he slaps her ass and it's almost as if you can hear it and it makes the scenes way better BHAHAHAHA. I'm going to start the second book now rather than later. I have so many books I have to read but I have to read the second one.

This is a very fast paced contemporary college reverse harem story. The FMC lead is Jamie, who is at college waiting for her final exam before Christmas holidays. She gets stuck in a library with 2 guys she knows as acquaintances and 2 guys she didn’t know. There is hardly any back story about the characters yet, which I hope will be rectified in the rest of the series. That said the guys seem likeable enough (ish), though one of the guys is definitely don’t judge a book by it’s cover. This a fast burn story. Jamie goes from shy and inexperienced to ready to take on 4 guys at once in the space of an hour or 2 within the story. Yes, it’s that fast a flip. That said it’s well written and leaves enough interest for the reader to continue the story. Essentially this story is establishing the formulation of the harem and their previous relationship with each other (team mates and friends).

A novella worth taking a break for!

I don't normally go out of my way to read novella's. I prefer books with more story line then a novella tends to have. That being said - Hot Damn! This book has just enough of everything that it will draw you in and will make you feel like you have read a whole book. Lucy Smoke is a really talented writer.
Jamie goes to study in the library on a cold winter night right before her last exam at Christmas. And is treated to the night of her life by Cody, Dex, Taylor, and Darren. These boys are hot and how they are there for Jamie is even hotter. I'm definitely looking forward to the next book called Tough Break which is the continuation of Jamie and her boys story.

If you’re looking for a book that has filthy sex from cover to cover, then this is the book for you. However, there is no real emotion or build up. They went from zero to infinity in 1 page. So, it is really just a book about “a night of sex with 4 guys”. Dirty sex. Repeatedly.
I realised late that this is actually an erotic short story. Nevertheless, I dove straight in.
I think it a solid 4 stars. It lost a star as I imagine a bit more emotion and teasing would have been nice.
The ratings for this book would probably have been higher if the audience knew this was an erotic short story before reading it, rather than saying it merely includes ‘sexual situations’. Perhaps it would help if the blurb was adjusted.

Awesome short story that was exactly what I was looking for. It’s an odd request to find find a reverse harem without a very particular crazy subplot storyline and I’m glad I stumbled upon this book. The men in the book, Taylor, Cole, Dex, and Darren all have an interest in the girl Jamie Houston and they are snowed into a library for a day they finally give in to desires and the boom is very steamy to melt the snow. The story had a nice little balance of general plot as well as the scenes most people came here for. The hide and seek with walkie talkies was a cute moment/scene too!

Love this story!
I first read this story in the Snow and Seduction anthology. I love it!

Characters - distinct from each other so I feel a connection to them

If you are looking for a fast-burn, RH, better snag this one as soon as possible.
It's hot from the beginning and we don't ever slow down.
I love a good forced proximity trope. So when they are snowed into the library for an evening together, you know it's about to be a GOOD time. It's a Novella, and fast burn. But, it actually turns into a relationship later on. Plus, the college romance + athletes part really sucks me in.
Excited to see what the next book brings for our group.

It's a decent book for what it is-- a short, steamy insta reverse harem romance. For people wanting more character development, backstory, etc., etc.,-- it's an 86 page insta reverse harem story! I would totally agree if this was an epic 400 pager.
My only issue with realism stems from the fact I work in a university library and from my experience, the author has taken artistic license with pretty much all the library issues (particularly the safety related ones).

Super steamy snowstorm!
Wow! Snowstorms were never so exciting or satisfying as in this book! Jamie thought having one of the last final exams on campus was a pain, but how wrong she turns out to be after getting trapped in the library with four hot guys. Loved it!

This book is a fast burn, contemporary RH romance novella. It is a quick and steamy read!
If you want a big build-up and long plot, this isn't for you. But if you want hot, heavy, and detailed - look no further! Our FMC gets snowed in the campus library alone with four football players, and things get very interesting very quickly. Yum!!

wow this novella is off the charts, it is a fast paced RH full of steamy hot scenes from the very start. On a cold and snowy night, Jamie thought she was going to the library for one last study session but what she did not count on was 4 hot guys who all have a thing for her. Will she decide to keep them for one night or will she make them hers?

Seriously hot
This was a fun, hoooot read! Trapped in a snowstorm with four guys, Jamie has one heck of a night to remember. I can’t wait to continue the series, I hope to see more of their relationship develop and what happens when they’re no longer trapped inside.

Wow what a steamy sexy study break, college site has changed since I last went! I like shy quiet Jamie, she is feistier then you first think and the boys are sexy and hot. I really enjoyed this story and cannot wait to read the next one in the series

It seemed a bit rushed to me. don't get me wrong the book didn't disappoint with steamy scenes with a bit of dominance. But I did feel the majority of the book was just that, no back story, nothing for us to get to know the characters. Not bad though
