I was nothing, a washed up, useless nobody to them. The angered look that permanently etched my face wasn’t new for any of them. The resting bitch face was something that defined me, Davina, the spoiled, unhappy, selfish brat. I suppose they were right about that. I really wasn’t a happy go lucky girl. I didn’t carry around a cheery disposition. I didn’t grow up showered w ...more

Each book gets better and better. This book focuses on Davina and her story with the pack. The author really makes you evaluate who you love and who you hate. She adds this dynamic to the story where you can relate to the ones that you swore you hated. You can sympathize with them and almost understand why they do the things they do.

This is what fantastical storytelling is all about. The author has outdone herself with this last book. I honestly want more. The character growth in the book was a

I will be the first to admit I wasn’t sold on Davina in The Accalia and The Curse but I knew there had to be more to her than was let on. I’m proud to shout out that I am now a Davina fan!! I get her because in a lot of ways I am her.

Davina just wants to be part of the pack. She is a healer just like her family before her but being raised by wolves has her confused about her role in life. While the pack is away she is stuck in her house with Chuck and the others left behind. Sonya

“The Healer: An Accalia Series Novella: Davina (The Accalia Series Book 3)” is a finely written, engrossing character study with a coming-of-age gloss in the midst of a paranormal series. How did I know what a good book—novella really—this is? When I finished it, I was “no, no, don’t stop, I want more.”

Davina, the healer in the story, is a conflicted young woman with more than her share of anger, bitterness, and disappointment. Yet Davina is also a strong, beautiful, and talented person who is o

Obviously, if you are reading this book, you have read the other books in the Accalia series and, if you are like me, you kind of think Davina is a major, uh, we'll go with brat just to keep it clean. However, now that I've read her story I'm beginning to see why she is the way she is.

Don't get me wrong, I still think she needs to tone down the attitude and stop blaming other people for her own issues, but I can see why she acts that way. Being raised with the pack like she was, she seems to ha

Davina has not been my favorite character because of her constant shitty attitude. After reading this book I now have a whole new appreciation for her. Sure, she does have an attitude but with the struggles she had to face throughout her life I am not surprised. Learning more about the healer and the work of a healer is refreshing. Davina is a tough character with a hard shell but seems to be broken in the inside. Her love for Liam is not returned, which leaves her hurt and angry. When she is th ...more

I have to say I wasn't a fan of Davina in the Accalia books. That being said learning her story and the reasoning behind her attitude made alot more sense after reading The Healer. I'm so glad she finds herself and more. I kind of wish her new found relationship would have blossomed more in her story. But I'm glad she found him. He looks like he will keep her balanced from the pieces that I gathered in her story. I'm so glad the characters are coming more to light individually. ♡ It was really g ...more

This is a novella about Davina. She is the daughter of the pack healer and half sister to Noah. The problem is, she is not a Were but desperately wants to be accepted as one. She has known Liam all her life and she is in love with him. When Genesis enters the picture, the sparks fly. Genesis is Liam's soul mate and nothing Davina can say or do will change that. When the pack goes off to Russia, she is left behind. Even her brother Noah goes with the pack and he hates Genesis as much as she does. ...more

This book really changed my view on Davina. I never thought that she had any kind of emotion aside from smugness. H.L. Girton really brings more depth to a character I originally thought was irrelevant until now. Can't wait to read the next one!!!

Look, like most I hated Davina. I still don't like her, but I do UNDERSTAND her, and I still loved the story. It was brilliant, a great short read.

Did you finish Accalia like the rest of us thinking that Davina is an itch with a capital B? Yeah well, you're not alone! So why you ask does this snarky attitude ridden chic get her own story? Well because like all of us she has many layers.

The Healer is where we begin to understand her snarkiness. Where we fall in love with her. Where our disdain for her starts to disappear. And where Davina starts to heal. S

What an incredible read! This gave great insight into Davina, made me understand her character more and I loved it. I loved getting a new perspective on everything, Davina is incredible relatable as well.
This series is a must read. I can't wait for more! The story is amazing and it's so well written.

Davina struggles with low self-esteem, anxiety and mood-swings. Which in her case, is a result from unrequited love. When Liam claims Genesis, Davina not only loses her best friend but also the man she's always loved. I didn't like her very much in the first two Accalia novels but at least now I have a better understanding of why she acts the way she does. Like some young adults, she struggles to fit in with her piers and just wants to be loved and accepted for who she is.

I truly enjoyed this sh

All I can say is wow! This book totally surprised me. But first stop if you haven't read any of The Accalia Series books. You need to read them first! Go now! Trust me. You will thank me.
This book is about Davina. She is a healer in the Rosewood house. What I knew about her was she was in love with Liam who didn't love her back and she was a brat and totally rude all the time to Genesis. I couldn't stand her. When I started to read this novella I was sure my feeling for her would not change. I

After reading the first two books in the series, I really enjoyed getting to know one of the secondary characters - the Healer Davina - who was left alone and heart-broken when the rest of her “family” traveled to Russia. Her heart still aching for Liam, she keeps going back to happier times, trying to escape from reality through her memories - the only thing she has left. But, immersed into her own world, she doesn’t notice at first that someone else has been trying to get her attention the who ...more

Davina has been a little bit of a mystery to me. She has been kind of mean and hateful and really doesn't seem to get along with anyone. We all know she has had her sights set on Liam. Everything changed though when Genesis came along. Davina was raised with wolves therefore she has always wanted to be like one but she has to learn she is made for other things.
This story gives a lot of answers to all of my questions about Davina and a lot more understanding of why she's the way she is. You get

What can I say about this book that doesn't give away what is going to happen. This book is a great read! If anyone likes shape shifters books you will love this series. This author does a great job of catching a readers attention and sucking them into the book and make you feel like you are actually right there with the characters. I love this book and will recommend it to anyone that loves that kind of books!

The Healer: An Accalia Series Novella: Davina is book 3 in The Accalia series. This novella is centered around Davina during the same time frame as book 2. It is best to read books 1 and 2 before reading this. In the series, Davina is not a very likable character but in book 3 you get flash backs to Davina's past and the things that make her the way she is, you understand more about her and dear I say start to like her. This is a great quick read but a much needed addition to the story. Great jo ...more

I have been so excited to dive into this series more. This novella, gives you insight to things you wouldn’t have known in the previous books. You have more information regarding Davina and why she is the way she is. It helps you figure her out and gives you more of a reason to forgive her previous actions. I never liked Davina in “The Accalia” and in “The Curse”, but in this one you can’t help but understand and forgive her. You learn to love her in your own way. You get a glimpse of what she c ...more

An interesting story with some wonderful new insights into Davina. You definitely want to read the two books published before this novella to avoid spoilers! This story helps the reader understand how Davina responds to everyone in the first book. A nice story with a great ending. Looking forward to more!
