Despite being a book for children, it has a lot of good information. It suffers from the problem that most books on ancient Egypt have of combining 3000 years of history. Lots of good pictures with dates of their making, not of their finding. A comprehensive section on artisans.

Though it's a children's book, this is a great book for research. I'm writing some books set in Egypt and this is very helpful.
