So let me just start by saying that this was my first experience of the very talented Tess Thompson. And I really have to say Deleted: Jackson and Maggie, though of a much cleaner read than what I am usually used to, still managed to reel me in and keep my attention throughout this magnificently.
This was such a sweet second-chance story that totally relied on its spoken narrative to hook in and enthral its spectators.
This book had so much more going on, and

3.5-4 stars for me

I really enjoyed this sweet second chance romance. It's my second read from this author and it's definitely tamer than the books I am used to but I found myself enjoying the sweetness of it.

Separated by lies and circumstance Bird and Jackson's lives read a little like a soap opera BUT the author gets away with it. She has characters you feel invested in and enough emotions to have me sniffling at times. Easy small town read.

I received an arc of this book.

Deleted: Jackson and Maggie is one of the very best books I have ever read. It’s so touching, loving, emotional, sad and happy all in one. Throw in a couple of deaths and you would think it was a thriller, but it’s the best love story I have ever read. It’s perfect. Jackson and Maggie are perfect.

When two people are torn apart by lies, deceit and death how can they move on? That is what is expected of Jackson and Maggie. Twelve long years Jackson has though Maggie was dead. Visiting her grave, l

This is the second book in the Cliffside Bay Series, and I have to say, this is my favorite so far. The love story between Jackson and Maggie, the horrible childhood of Maggie’s and then the twelve years that separated them, and the distance between them as well. But, Maggie felt like all t-he people she loved in her life in Cliffside Bay, deleted her from their life, when everything she wrote to them, came back return to sender, every sin

I couldn’t wait to read Jackson’s story ever since I met him in Brody’s story. Jackson really deserved his happily ever after.

Jackson was still mourning for the past 12 years the death of his first love Maggie. He couldn’t really move on with anyone else because no one compared to Maggie. What he doesn’t know is that she’s alive. Both Jackson and his friends are surprised when she returns after 12 years.

Maggie returns home after 12 years to see her dad that is dying. She wants to go in and out a

Let me say this first. I do not hand out 5 stars willy nilly. I have to actually laugh out loud or cry real tears and be emotionally invested in the story. Lets just say my husband got 'shushed' many times when I was reading this.
Business first. This is the second book in the Cliffside Bay series. It can be read as a standalone but you will get more out of it and the small details if you have read the first book. This type of book is my jam. A series of books set in the same town/team/friends bu

In Cliffside Bay love runs as deeply as the secrets it's scenery hides. Thompson prides herself on making every tale a compelling canvas of emotion. Deleted is no exception. From young love to tragedy, Jackson and Maggie grab hold of a heart and wring out every memory, teardrop and hope encased within. What began in heartache went on to become an inspirational journey of second chances, survival and everlasting love. There is no escaping destiny and like Jackson and Maggie, Deleted has classic w ...more
This is the ultimate second chances book. Multiple characters have the chance to live their dreams they thought wouldn’t happen, Darla, Zane, Jackson, Maggie (at least 3 times over)! If you like second chance romances this is the book for you. I loved learning a bit more about Jackson who was first introduced in Brody and Kara’s book, Traded. We get to learn about what truly happened with Maggie who was mentioned multiple times in Traded. Then we see what happens when Jackson and Maggie learn th ...more

This series hinges on a set of friends many years after they bonded in College. In this second installment for the Cliffside Bay Series, readers will find a reunion that could have come straight from Mr. King’s own filing cabinet of plots. In bizarre twisted events created by her Father, Maggie has been lost from Cliffside Bay, and oddly enough, it’s her Father who brings her home.

So devastated by the loss of Maggie and after twelve years mourning, Jackson has finally decided to move on but his

Such a great and heart warming story! Jackson lost the love of his life when they were only 18 yrs old but his heart never forgot Maggie and he hasn't moved on from that love even though she's been gone for 12 years! Maggie just found out that her father is dying and he wants her to come back to Cliffside Bay because she's been living in New York for 12 yrs, never returning to her hometown after graduating high school. Her heart still belongs to Jackson, the love of her life, but she's still hur ...more

I really enjoy Tess Thompson's books, and this one if by far and away my new favorite. Chapter 1 opens with Maggie turning thirty and learning she's been dead for 12 years. And things only get crazier from there. I'd rate this box 5 Kleenexes instead of 5 stars. (Pro tip: you will need them.)
Maggie is very much a Tess Thompson heroine, smart, sassy, and imperfect. The book opens with Maggie at a crossroads in her life which is deeply ironic since she's supposedly dead - except nobody told her.

Can you imagine leaving your home town to return years later to find out everyone thinks you are dead? This is what happens in Deleted.

In the second book in the Cliffside Bay series we see Jackson as the town Doctor who never got over his first true love Maggie who died right after high school, or so he thought. When Maggie returns to her hometown to confront her father on his death bed about her mother's death she finds more than her mother's grave. She finds hers as well. Her father had told e

When I read the blurb for Deleted: Jackson and Maggie by Tess Thompson, the second book in her Cliffside Bay series, I knew I had to read it. I knew it would be emotional and full of angst, which I love. This second chance romance will captivate you.

Jackson Waller and Maggie Keene were each other’s first love. They meant everything to each other, but they also had dreams they wanted to achieve. But those dreams took them in different directions. And when Jackson learns Maggie is dead, he is hear

I loved this installment in the Cliffside Bay Series!! I am already eagerly and impatiently waiting for the next book in the series!! The authors brings the characters to life for the reader and makes it super hard for them to leave the world that she creates. The readers are shocked by the pace that the author sets for this story. They are in a whirlwind of emotion, the reader will laugh, cry and at times curse at the author (sorry). You will run through the entire gamut of emotions whether you ...more

Bring on the emotions and pull at the heartstrings because that is just what Tess Thompson gives you. She does give you laugh out loud moments too. This is an amazing second chance. Jackson and Maggie pull at you something terrible. You feel for them once you get further into the story and find out how they were kept apart. You root for them hardcore once they come face to face 12 years later. Maggie you just want to hug her once she gets all the answers she's looking for. It's beautiful to see ...more

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This story was so wonderful. It stars two young lovers, Jackson and Maggie who have always loved the other. But Maggie had the devil of a father and he made everyone believe she had died 12 years before. Meanwhile Maggie has been living it up in NYC until she gets a your dad is dying phone call.

And that is how Maggie comes back from the dead. I loved how everyone reacts and especially Jackson. No spoilers here. But the two are also very

We first met Jackson in book one, the level headed, steady Doctor who still mourns the loss of his Maggie 12 years later! Although he is trying to move on, there is no love that can compare.
Maggie returns home to her dying fathers bedside to get answers about her mother and baby sister, she is shocked to find her own tombstone! T

I’m reviewing Deleted and Jaded together because I couldn’t stop reading this series! Tess Thompson’s characters in the small town of Cliffside Bay are intriguing and charming! Each has their own history and story but the author has merged their pasts into present lasting friendships and love stories that any reader of contemporary romance would love to be a part of! All of the books in this series have been wonderfully quick reads with just enough romance to keep you interested but not so much ...more

This book reads like butter. The words flow so beautifully that you forget you are reading a book. You become the book. It evokes emotions that pour from your soul. Tess Thompson’s words are beautifully written in Deleted, Maggie and Jackson’s Story. The setting is Cliffside Bay, a small secluded town north of San Francisco. It’s everything to its residents, who are reluctant to embrace newcomers, but take care of their own. Deleted follows Traded, Kara and Brody’s Story. I will read these books ...more

This is the second book in the Cliffside Bay series, but I think it works perfectly as a stand alone. Although I loved the first one so much, I'd say start there. Thompson has created the most charming little town filled with imaginative and interesting characters. This go-round is with Maggie and Jackson, and their story is filled with drama, grief, humor, and love. Lots and lots of love. While not cloying, I did get teary eyed here and there. The Alzheimer story hit me in a very personal spot ...more

Some loves you never get over.

Maggie followed her dreams but lost the love of her life in doing so. Imagine her surprise when she goes back to confront her father and finds out why no one ever responded to her in 12 years.

Jackson has been mourning Maggie for 12 years. No one has compared to Maggie. He is finally ready to take the next step with his girlfriend...even if her isn't quite sure...when Maggie comes back. To say it was a shock is an understatement.

From the very moment I began reading, "Deleted: Jackson and Maggie", I couldn't put it down. This second book in the Cliffside Bay series was a perfect transition as it introduced me to new individuals which lead me further into the lives of the characters that I came to know and love in Book 1. The strength of the women in this novel was impressive. I was captivated from start to finish with tears mingled in throughout. A beautifully touching story about first, young loves. Due to an abusive, mean father Maggie, Jackson and the whole of Cliffside Bay's lives are changed 12 years ago. After a phone call from her stepmother letting her know her dad is dying, Maggie goes home to confront him over his actions of 20 years back.
And that is where everything that everyone once thought was true is turned on its head.
Its a story of love, acceptance, realisation, discovery and do overs.

Tess Thompson just keeps getting better and better.

This is a beautiful book about second chances at love. But more than a love story, it's a story friendships and relationships. But to add to that it also deals with real life issues of abuse.

This book made me laugh and cry, and I also couldn't put it down. It was a very late night when I finished it.

I'm eagerly awaiting the next book in the series, and this one hasn't even been released yet.

Tess Thompson is a new to me author. I picked up the first book in her Cliffside Bay series because it sounded interesting, also free I believe. I read through it and couldn't seem to stop. I immediately bought and read this one next. The characters are all so strong and wonderful. A group of very close friends who laugh, cry and celebrate life together. I have found these books totally enjoyable and am looking forward to the next one.

Look at this gorgeous cover !!
Deleted: Jackson and Maggie is the second book in the Cliffside Bay Series by Tess Thompson. Every book can be read as a standalone- I recommend to read the books in order. The previous book is Traded: Brody and Kara.

Maggie Keene is a 30 year old ex-dancer, waitress and songwriter. Shes back in Cliffside Bay to see her father a last time. She left 12 years ago and never dreamt of coming back. She has unfinished business with her father and hopes for closure.

Deleted was an interesting book. I've never read a book where the heroine was assumed dead but wasn't so when I read the blurb I wanted to know more. I really enjoyed this book. It wasn't to over the top. It flowed easy and kept me intrigued. Jackson was also a great character to read about. Yeah, he may not have been the smartest when it came to Sharon but he was an upstanding character and was willing to own up to his mistakes. His heart and brain knew what he wanted all along. Tess Thompson's second book in the Cliffside series continues the story of the folks in this little town. Jackson and Maggie's story is a sweet reunion between two lovers torn apart by a tragic misunderstanding. Along with the romance between these two lovers, we meet up again with characters in the ever growing friendship circle. I especially love the community aspect to these stories.
