About the author

Bill Smith worked his way through undergraduate school firing steam locomotives on the railroad, then paid for graduate school as a dormitory resident advisor. Three years later, he was the acting chief of television for a branch of the Air Force in Washington, then acting assistant to the under secretary of a federal department. He was the founding executive director of a state wide public broadcasting network, a founder of a seventeen state public broadcasting system, and the recipient of the George Foster Peabody Award.

This is a good Star Wars technical book. However for me it fell just short of confused. I would have preferred it to make its mind up - either be a really technical journal with lots of complex blueprints or be a simple fun bright colorful book for kids with lots of bright images and interesting facts in a kid friendly way.

This book is pretty super awesome. Since i have a love for military history and star wars i found a book that combines both! The Essential Guide to Weapons and Technology! ts a fun book to read and if you like the special efeects and weaponry of star wars you should definately pick this up ath the bookstore!

this book was awsem. I love setion on raneged weapons. I wish I could have a Prax Arms Protecter PRP-502 dart pistle. Flechette Launchers are alsow cool. I dont really think orbatl nightcloaks and cloaking devices are cool. I need a planetary turbolaser and and the sun crusher. I never get teird of this book.
