I am dancing on sunshine that you are visiting my little part of Parris's paradise here on Goodreads.

I write for the reckless at heart Not surprisingly, I identify with my novels' characters, both the protagonists AND antagonists. I suffer with their angsts and bewilderments and rejoice in their joys and triumphs.

And I believe that if we heroically hold fast to our own vision for ourselves in our journey’s confrontations and challenges, Life WILL surely manifest our dreams and goals and visions, as it does for my characters in my novels.

Mixed feelings....

I actually love Part is Afton Bonds' books!! Her writing includes atmosphere, geography, politics with romance. This is one of her earlier books and contemporary for the yuppie decade.

With that in mind, I have mixed feelings about my opinion here. First, I found the first few chapters overfilled with information regarding geographic locations, political groups and characters. It was a bit boring, but I plodded on and found a great storyline filled with intrigue, seduction, motivations, fashion and romance. At this point, I found it very difficult to put the book down. Parris at her best!!! My only criticism is too much description at times.

The characters develop well as three stand out....the thief, the insurance investigator and the narcotics detective. As they circle each other with intelligent, interesting dialogue the plot thickens as seduction is the name of the game. Two cats and a mouse ... or is it one cat and two mice??!!

Romance between the thief and insurance investigator ensues. Paris does this very well!!! Loved it! Until the end of the book which drops off the cliff like a stone! After a suspense -filled, action packed, thrilling and sexy buildup .... End! Really??!! I'm so disappointed!

Recommend to readers of contemporary romance and suspense readers. I'm middle-of -the-road on this one.

A female investigator who happens to be gorgeous and one of the jet set, falls for a guy while checking him out. A series of transacts lead to a large amount of cocaine being exchanged all of which he's right smack in the middle. It doesn't add up, he's actually a Mossad (the Israeli's CIA) working to get a certain man. Their relationship is just not possible.

An interesting read. It started off a bit slow for me but once it really caught my attention, I couldn't put it down. This author used a lot of words that I wasn't familiar with. Although it can be disruptive to the flow of the story sometimes, I enjoy looking up words I don't know. I would definitely read more books by this author.
