This is an excellent guide of color mixing and pigment properties, along with swatch samples for quick reference. A great companion while painting.

I will never "finish" this book!! After ten years of painting in watercolors, I still go back to this book for help at times when I am trying to achieve a certain color. It is clear and very helpful.
