Sometimes Love Can Be Arranged.

Arav Shetty had it all. The handsome, self-made billionaire topped the list of New York’s most eligible bachelors and sat at the helm of the city’s biggest tech empire. He also had a plan - buy out the brilliant upstart nipping at his heels, and dominate as the biggest and best tech company in New York.

The strategy had worked for him in the p

I loved this sweet romance between Nisha and Avra. They have a unique story that keeps you drawn in where you don’t want to put the book down. It had a great ending, and I can’t wait to read more in Shilpa Mudiganti’s next book.
Startup Fiancé was the first book in the Startup series by Shilpa Mudiganti. It was also my first book by the author.

Arav Shetty was a 32 yr old, self made billionaire. He was running from his past when he started TechNotes 8 yrs ago. He had a reputation for being tall, dark and ruthless. His company was his life so it didn’t mix well for finding a wife. However, it didn’t stop his uncle from asserting his Indian heritage to find a wife for an arranged marriage.

Nisha Jain was the beautiful and s

LOVED IT. Startup Fiance is an enemies-to-lovers romance (zero sex but lots of spark - but not faith-based, if that makes sense) set in NYC that features two Indian-American tech moguls who are fierce competitors. When they finally meet, however, sparks FLY! I absolutely love the fierce tech-y female lead, and her male counterpart is SUCH a modern gentleman who strongly supports the feminist agenda. There are strong cultural and family storylines throughout the book with an arranged marriage thr ...more
I so enjoyed this Novella length love story. The author did a great job of writing a very complete and believable story in it's length. Arav is one of those leading men you wished all others were patterned after. He has over come a sad past and has built his own amazing future now he just needs a girl to be a partner and help him complete it. Nisha is a strong female lead still trying to find her feet. These two complimented each other so well. The author did an amazing job of creating tension a ...more

I know nothing about Indian culture and traditions and definitely nothing about arranged marriages. I like the idea of an "arranged marriage" out of true love. Yes, this sounds contradictory but Nisha and Arav did it. Nisha is a strong woman who tries to stand on her own feet, without daddies money and without support from a fiance. And Arav is willing to step back for their love and their life together. I liked all of Shilpas characters (except Niks) and that I learned a bit about Indian cu

This was a sweet read. I love the diversity in the main characters. There should be more books like this.

Thank you NetGalley and Inkspell Publishing for providing me with an e-copy to read and review.

I absolutely loved this story. Startup Fiancé is a light contemporary romance novel with a captivating plot, endearing characters, and charming love story.

Arav and Nisha are both very similar when it comes to their business, but its the contrasting backgrounds that provides the most contention to war against the attraction they have for each other. There was seemingly no way for their relationship to r

First, I’d like to commend the author for that author’s note. Some parts may be confusing if the culture was not explained beforehand.

Now I’ll try to make a thorough review without spoiling much of the story.

The characters were intense. Arav is this hot guy who passionate with his life’s work, and may have gotten ahead of himself for a few times. Nisha is as passionate too. She is like a perfect blend of a modern woman but with respect to tradition. The rest of the characters are also very inter

Business mixed with sweet romance…Arav Shetty, a multi-millionaire, is proud of the success that he has built from the ground up. Arav feels threaten by a new app that is taking away a portion of his customers. When Arav meets Nisha Jain, his major competitor, he has mixed feelings about her. When Arav realizes that his family thinks that Nisha is a great match for him, Arav want to take a second look. Since Arav left a bad first impression, Nisha isn't so sure. Arav and Nisha are two people alike in many ways that have a dream to be the best but since they are also rivals it isn’t easy. When Arav’s uncle sends him a profile of a single young woman little did he know it was Nisha’s. They met for coffee not because of the profile but of business, but when Arav saw Nisha for the first time things started to happen. Wasn’t alone of feeling of alone. These two get off the wrong way and it’s a back and fourth from bad to good. Arav stands up for Nisha honor ...more

Startup Fiance begins with the descriptions of Arav Shetty's and Nisha Jain's budding empires. The beautiful and talented King and Queen of the Notes app can only think of acquiring the other's business so as to be the best in the field but that's not to be. With the typical 'Indian-ness' of the story arrives the concept of arranged marriages and as luck would have it, Arav and Nisha are judged to be perfectly paired. While in the real world, they would both refuse a relationship that is too com ...more

Loved what this Author did with this story. Two people driven by the same drive and this is work and proving themselves to their families and the world. Not having time for anyone or anything besides that. Coming from a country where arrange marriages are very common. This story is really will keep you wanting to know what is going to happen next. Love the chemistry that they have but I really enjoy the believable part the author put it..

Do arranged marriages still work?
With both of them competing against each other in business will they find a way to love?
Their uncle and grandmother decide that they are perfectly matched but how can they be when they are competitors?
Arav thinks that Nisha is just a pampered pricess that got daddy's help to start her business where as he worked from the bottom up, when he learns he is wrong his feelings begin to change in to something more.
Nisha is tired of all the men in her life treating her

I was intrigued by this book because of the cultural aspects of it and I’m so happy I took a chance on this amazing book because it was so much more than just that! Arav is a self made man who is doing all he can to fight the demons of his past. Nisha is a woman fighting in a mans world! When the match makers of each families suggest these two Nisha doesn’t think they’re a good match while Arav does what he can to show them all he is what Nisha needs!

I loved the strength that Nisha has and Arav

Rich and Deep Romance
While this is not a very long story, it is rich and deep. There is more depth to these characters than in some novels twice as long. The plot and emotion rings very true. This is a sweet and clean romance, yet it lacks nothing. I will be reading everything that this writer produces! I received this book for free and voluntarily chose to post my honest review.

Driven, Arva built his tech company from the ground up. His company has been very successful leading his empire to the top despite of the dark secret of his past. Now he has a strong competitor fighting for his position and he is slowly losing his clients.
Nisha is determined to become one of the top women empires of the tech world. Starting her company from the ground up refusing any help from her wealthy father.
She is tired of being used and manipulated by men.

This was a cute and fast read. I loved the idea that the two CEOs of companies are the ones who happen to be the match their family wants to see. A bit predictable and I have to say it was annoying to see the main character believing a magazine article so easily. I would hope in her position she would be a bit smarter. Also I didn't quite get the epilogue. Why would it be from the sister's POV we only hear about once or twice?

A modern day arranged -marriage love story. Nrav is a fierce business owner uninterested in dating but willing to "meet" with the lady of his uncle -the match maker's- choosing. Nisha is the selected match for Nrav and his business rival. Willing to give their families match making a chance, Nrav makes an awful first impression but fights a second chance seeing Nisha as potentially more. This is unique take on the idea of an arranged marriage is both intriguing and an interesting read. Both well ...more

Avra has built a tech company on a note app. He started from the ground up. He loves his uncle and his schemes of getting him married. His uncle still believes in the old ways about setting up an arranged marriage. Nasha is an up and coming and is competing against Avra in the tech world with her own note app. Avra doesn't know that the profile of the girl is Nasha. These two banter back and forth. This is a great book to read. I really enjoyed learning about a piece of Indian culture while enjoying reading two people go from enemies to loving each other. They figure out that not all old school beliefs/ culture is so bad when mixed with today’s modern age

Arranged marriages are definitely not the norm today, however Nisha Jain and Arav Shetty realize that tradition is something they can’t let go. With a mutual attraction, they seem to let their competing business get in the way of love. Arav knows he needs to prove himself and with the help of family, he just might open Nisha eyes that their attraction can’t be denied.
Shilpa Mudiganti has written a book combining old and new traditions and well worth a read.

I received this as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I absolutely loved it! It was a short and easy read and the characters were very well written. The author did a wonderful job on explaining and integrating the Indian culture throughout the story. This book is entertaining and sweet and I will definitely be reading more from this author.
