Nizzem Ezekiel is one of the first poet stylists in the Indian English literary tradition. He is a must read for any one who wants to learn about the form. He also did inimitable work in discussing the differences in religion and theology within India that few poets have done. His work reminds me a lot of Khushwant Singh in that way, but more rhythmic, and moving, full of life and song.
