I received an e-ARC from Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.

A unique matriarchal society set in space and filled with sci-fi goodness and a tiny bit of horror concerning the idea of bodies. I liked the ideas behind the story and how the characters tried to race against time as the Sister wants to get power in her own hands. The lost star goes to the slightly YA feeling of the book. 2.5 stars maybe? I LOVED the first two thirds of this for its weirdness and originality and delightfully disgusting body horror. It has fabulous world building! Very creative and interesting read. This is a talented author, and she developed the characters well. It has good pacing and if you like Wierd (yes, with a cap W), then this is probably for you. Good not great. Recommended overall.

I really appreciate the copy for review!!

***WHO SUCKED ME IN***

The enabler named Thomas from SFF180 in their SFF180 🚀 Anticipated Science Fiction 2019 video published on 26 dec. 2018

The name of the author sounds really familiar... But it is the cover that makes me want to read this. I don't even know what it is about because I'm so busy adding it to my TBR that I missed Thomas talking about the blurb.
