If you love superhero stories, this one is right up your alley! Fast-paced, dynamic, riveting and impossible to put down “Metatron” has all the right ingredients to create a perfect blend of action and adventure to satisfy even the pickiest of readers. Tyler’s character will certainly appeal to all YA readers as he’s a teenager everyone wants to be: strong, disciplined and the one who will save the world from an evil mastermind. Together with Tyler you will embark on an unforgettable journey thr ...more

We had a lot of fun with the third installment of the Metatron series. Watching Tyler grow through this action-packed adventure has been a grand experience. Equal parts super-hero and sci-fi for a high energy mix to keep you turning pages until the end! Definitely recommend!

Laurence St. John has done it again with book three in the Metatron series. All of the books are filled with fast pace action and adventure from beginning to end and book three doesn’t disappoint at all. I’m a big fan of fantasy fiction and while some of the well known fantasy adventure series are very, very long, it’s nice to have a faster paced book with a little over two hundred pages to get through to reach the satisfying ending. When I was reading the book it felt like this one ended a litt ...more

Tyler (Metatron) is a likeable, slightly tongue-in-cheek character that will appeal to anyone who is into their superheroes - particularly Spiderman. However, Metatron is certainly not another Spiderman! Trained to fight evil with every trick under his 'hat' - including some very nifty teleportation and martial arts skills - he is more than ready to take on the world. However, his graduation is cast into shadow by the discovery of an unexpected revelation in the codex of Enoch.

Great book for young adult readers
I'll read almost anything and YA is no exception. I particularly enjoy sci-fi and fantasy YA. This book reminded me of the Pitticus Lore series, which I love.

Things I liked about this book:
- The writing was geared to young readers, maybe 10-15 year old boys and girls and would definitely appeal to that age group.
- The superhero theme is engaging. As is Tyler who ultimately is Metatron.
- Tyler possessed the impatience of a teenager, but also the wisdom to apologi

Well, now probably this is my favorite book in the series, it was full of adventure from the first page till the very end. Metatron has finished with his training but the Kelltie and Black Shadow are back as the perfect evil forces that want to end the world. Metatron, a 14-year-old kid, grows as a person and as a superhero as he is tested through the challenges that are thrown his way. His love for Kendall and others make it easy for the evil forces to find ways to hurt him, but though Metatron ...more

This was a fantasy novel that really made me think on a deeper level than most Sci-Fi/Fantasy novels.

I liked that this novel is written for Young Adult readers, but can be enjoyed by all fans of Sci-Fi and Fantasy.

There is a lot going on and a lot to understand since you are diving into a new world. I think that Laurence A. St. John really managed to keep his readers up to speed by giving them just enough along the way without making them feel lost or bogged down with information.

While I haven

As the title suggests, The Dagger of Mortality has its fair share of fear, trauma and pain. It also has some wonderful surprises and exciting revelations that keep the suspense high, and the reader both biting their lip and shouting hurrah! The ups and downs of the story are well-written and paced to keep you on the edge of your seat. Characters Kendall and Lukas earned my respect with bigger roles while family mysteries were revealed and came to a satisfying conclusion. Tyler is a great mixture ...more
