One rookie assistant + one demanding executive = flirting that is too hot to handle.
Have you ever wished for the perfect job? Me, too. So when I land a temporary gig with a worthwhile and exemplary startup, I'm determined to make it permanent. That my boss is the gorgeous, clever Elliot Sax is nothing I can't handle. We may steal glances at each other and straddle the line of playing it safe, but our partnership is too important for complications. Not to mention workplace hookups are against the rules.
But when our attraction flames hotter, our best efforts are put to the test. I never imagined having to fight my feelings for him on a daily basis and keeping my hands to myself is absolutely killing me.
Until I can't. Until we can't. And what's at stake becomes more than our jobs. What's at risk is our hearts.

Awww so sweet and sexy. 4.5 stars ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ There’s nothing better than the feeling an illicit romance. The Excitement, sneaking around, secret glances, and little touches. It’s so sexy.
It’s exactly the feeling that Robin Bielman gives us in this sweet romance story. A part of a series but definitely a story that can be read on its own, Too Hard to Resist is a steamy novel that makes your heart pitter patter. Elliot is so Flippin hot and his connection with Maddie is blazing hot too.
I love the way the author blends the perfect amount of heat and tension along with the attraction and denials. Some things cannot be kept hidden and the steam radiates off from these two.
It was nice to visit with old friends from the other stories in this book that I think Elliot and Maddie are my favorite. Beautiful friendships and sweet love are what this story is all about.
The medium of gif is the best way to sum up my reaction whenever Robin Bielman releases a new book.
I think the fact this is my seventeenth read by Robin speaks for itself—I make no secret that she is one of my favourite authors—and it matters not the genre, trope or setting, she’s never yet failed me. And the third book in her Wherever You Go series continues that trend, bringing us Elliot Sax and Madison Hastings, the singletons amongst their loved-up group of friends, and co-workers in a company with a no-fraternisation policy firmly in place.
It’s always a good sign when you find yourself laughing your arse off early on in a story but when that’s followed by the right balance of push/pull, plentiful flirty banter and sexual tension, leading to some rather steamy shenanigans between the couple in question, you know you’re onto a winner and Madison and Elliot quickly became my favourite couple of the series.
You constantly steal my breath in the best possible ways.”
Smart, stubborn, quick with her retorts and a huge heart, I adored Madison as I did Elliot, with his affinity to the f-bomb and more gentle ways—he’s a man who knows how someone deserves to be treated. But what really struck me was how my younger self related to and empathised with both Madison and, to a degree, Elliot, and their story touched me in ways I wasn’t quite expecting.
I’m never leaving you alone again.”
Whilst I’ve loved each couple in this series and their paths towards finding love, for me, the best was definitely saved for last. I can’t deny that the shamelessly greedy epilogue-junkie that resides within me would have liked that beast sated as I could happily guzzle down more from all the characters, but there’s no taking away the fact that Too Hard to Resist ends a wonderful series on a real high.
Be still my heart.”

The third book in Robin Bielman’s Wherever You Go series definitely lived up to its title, because Elliot Sax, was definitely Too Hard to Resist for this reader.
Hands down the best book of the series so far, I absolutely adored the ‘forbidden’ romance between Madison and Elliot.
She’s in the friends-and-coworkers zone and that zone is banned from your pleasure…
You could feel the chemistry between them from their first meeting, the sexy banter and the bubbling tension of the attraction they were both trying to ignore due to the ‘Non-Fraternisation Policy’ they had both signed, just made it all the sweeter when they did start ignoring the rules.
I’m not the kind of girl to fool around with a guy and then pretend it never happened, or pretend it didn’t mean something…
There were lots of little enjoyable additions to the story itself that rounded everything out perfectly, and you get to catch up with the couples from the previous books as well, I liked the introduction of a couple of new secondary characters, because I think this series definitely has the legs to run to at least a couple more books. We also have a single Mom with and adorable daughter that have both played regular secondary characters from the start that I am hoping the author has a story in the pipe-line for as well.
She’s been right under my nose for years…
To sum up… I loved it! Cannot wait for more.

My laptop bit the dust, so I'm way late in posting my review! I really enjoyed this book. I think that this is my first Robin Bielman book. It certainly won't be my last. I found her writing style a little different than I normally read. This is dual 1st person POV. A slow burn romance. I requested & received this ARC without realizing that it's the 3rd in a series. I had no trouble following. The main characters from the first 2 books are supporting characters in this one. There was a sort of meet cute- but not really. Madison is behind Elliot in line at a coffee shop. She doesn't recognize him at first. They mutual friends and know each other. I guess that can happen. She was staring at his ass. LOL The slow burn was kinda nice. Elliot is her boss. Of course, there's a hands off employees policy. Madison is a great asset to the company. Elliot has not been the best boss to his previous assistants. They had to hire temps to fill the job. Madison is more than qualified and does stand up to Elliot's stern ways of management. They soon move towards a more friendly acquaintance. Through Elliot's and Madison's internal monologues, they each admit to an attraction. Matteo- from book 1 cautions Elliot against hurting Madison. Madison had a terrible break up- jerk ex relationship. Matteo seems like a big brother to Madison. Meanwhile, Madison is learning to spread her wins. She starts to find her professional niche. The chemistry warms up gradually. This wasn't the usually 44% & wham, they're lovers kinda book. I enjoyed their relationship building. Madison admires Elliot and Elliot truly appreciates Madison. I will have to go back and read the other 2 books in this series. This can be a standalone. The other books look good. I want to know more about all of the characters. Matteo & Teague, Levi & Harper. 4 stars. Sweet friends to lovers/ Boss-Employee romance.
I dived into Robin Bielman’s ‘Too Hard to Resist’ without having read the other books in this series, happy to say that this works perfectly as a standalone. And the pages do turn quickly, with the gradual upping of sexual tension until it eventually breaks.
A friends-to-lovers romance isn’t my favourite though the forbidden workplace one is one that I was eager to delve into. But ‘Too Hard to Resist’ is a hard one to write about, not because it wasn’t an easy read (it was) but because the to-and-fro-ing and the somewhat predictable plan that Elliot and Madison make to keep a distance from each other that didn’t work out in the end.
And round and round the game went as both parties vacillated between flirting and not wanting to cross that line, to the point that I got bored (when I should have been excited) by the time they finally fell into bed.
There also seemed to be a greater affinity with Madison that I felt, like I knew her feelings, hopes and plans more intimately than I knew Elliot, who in comparison, seemed to take a greater interest in Madison only when she became his assistant. His mostly lustful thoughts of her and nothing much else besides how good she was as his co-worker were what I got from him instead—that he wanted her physically wasn’t in any doubt, but I didn’t feel as though that extended to beyond the bedroom or the office as his assistant or that he was prepared to sacrifice anything for this hookup he wanted so badly.
The contrast between rather inexperienced heroine and the player hero was a little irksome nonetheless as Elliot made (dickish) moves that were clearly meant to distract her from dating other guys when I, liked Madison, couldn’t figure out his game beyond wanting her in bed as every chapter written in his POV has some kind of sentence that emphasises her hotness or involves body parts squishing together in a hookup. That there were occasional ex-fuck-buddies of his coming into the picture here and then didn’t bode all too well; neither did Madison’s inexperience that somehow translated into inexplicable naïveté and insecurity towards the end when the stakes never seemed equal between them.
I do like Bielman’s writing, but ‘Too Hard to Resist’ sadly didn’t quite work out too well for me as a result—the inequality of feelings, the way I felt more for one protagonist than the other were writ too large for me to look away from, despite the forbidden romance trope that I typically like.
Wow Wow Wow!!! This book! Holy nuts this book! I did not put it down, and couldn't until I finished it. This is my favorite book from Robin to date. I was just speechless when I finished it. I still don't know how to even review this because it was that good. Not just good fantastic! I'm going to try to be brief for several reasons, you need to read this one, you don't need me telling you all the yummy details because you're going to want to melt in your seat all by yourself and you're going to want to think about this when you're reading it. Scared you didn't I? Ha! Elliot has a bad rep at work for being difficult. He's burned through numerous temps in the last few weeks, some don't last a day. He's all work and no play. He's got a 5 year plan and loves his job. It's important that he achieve his goals. Madison needs a job and sent to work by the temp agency she's been working for, with hopes of a permanent position haven't worked out thus far. She's hopeful. Running into a coffee shop before work, hoping not to be late, there's a man in front of her in line, who buys the last two croissants she was hoping to snag and buys the rest of the plain ones as well. Topping it off she spills her coffee on her sweater and what a way to start a new job. The new business is warm, welcoming and I loved the characters there. When Mr Tight butt from the coffee shop walks out of the morning meeting and into the adjoining office, she knows she's in deep. And to add to that he's also a friend once removed. He's a friend of her best friend and kind of peripheral in the group they hang out in. Once they get that out of the way and decide they can work together, they make a great team. Maddy is smart, picks up on things quick and does a great job which allows Elliot to do his with less stress. Who am I kidding, the guy needs a roll away bed at the office. Until Madison starts to date a little. Since Mateo knows where she's going and Elliot starts to ask they start to show up where her dates are. The attraction between Elliot and Mad is insane and it will take you want to take a cold shower, but the boss has a very strict no frat policy, they both love their jobs and don't want to risk it. Their chemistry is just off the hook crazy. I have never read anything so insanely meshed like these two in a very long time. The plot is smooth and the book flows perfectly. I loved Maddy and Elliot. We get to see our friends from the previous books popping in. It's two days later and I'm still flying high off this one. Robin, you have truly outdone yourself. A zillion shooting stars!!
advanced copy from NetGalley and Entangled for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is the first book I've read by this author and if her others are anything like this one I'm hooked! This is not your typical office romance between the boss and his assistant. It is so different from anything I've read before.
What makes it unique, is that Elliot and Maddy knew each other before they started working together. Not only do they have mutual friends, but her best friend is dating his best friend/roommate. So they see each other often at social events. But when Maddy stepped into his office building that day, she had no idea who she would be working for because she was placed through a temp agency.
The banter between Elliot and Maddy is off the charts. I could not stop laughing at their "notes" back and forth, especially Elliot's score keeping talents.
The sexual tension between the two are off the charts. The only problem is that the company has a vert strict no fraternizing policy after the CEO was burned by his ex wife.
So what happens when you both have found not only your dream job but possibly also your soul mate?
The Wherever You Go series has been my introduction to Robin Bielman and I swear each new book in the series has me wondering why it took me so long to find her. I have loved each of these books for different reasons and in different ways, and Madison and Elliot’s story is no exception.
There’s something about the writing in these books that is irresistible to me. It’s engaging, flirty and fun without sacrificing any emotion. There was a bit of a taboo vibe to this one – which ratcheted up the excitement sometimes - but what resonated with me more was the friends-to-lovers storyline because the honest communication and genuine care these two had for each other hit my sweet spots over and over again. Don’t get me wrong – they do naughty very well (*fans self*), but the magic for me is always in the sweet little details that build up all those swoony feelings to which I am so hopelessly addicted.
Too Hard to Resist has a little bit of everything: witty banter, dramatic angst, forbidden heat, and sweet emotion which all kept me hooked on the story from start to finish. I loved these two, even when I wanted to give them a good shake (because no good story is complete without some bonehead antics). In all, I was left with a happy heart and a satisfied smile. Madison and Elliot are another delightful addition to this fantastic series! ~ Shelly, 4.5 Stars
Too Hard to Resist is the third book in Robin Bielman’s Wherever You Go series. This standalone read features a to die for hero and a charming heroine. In fact, the book emcompasses everything I love about Robin’s writing. You have a hero who says the right things, does the right things, and has a great sense of humor. The heroine is funny, resourceful, and sweet as can be. Not to mention, Robin’s writing allows you to visualize all the scenes.
Elliot Sax has finally landed his dream job with a great company. Yes, there's pressure, stress, and long hours, but Elliot believes in the company and what it's doing to help the world. Elliot is a driven man. He expects nothing but the best from himself and those who work for him. Which is why he has a revolving door of assistants.
At twenty-four, Madison Hastings finds herself still living at home with her parents. After leaving her cheating ex at the altar, she’s ready to start her life. Step one is to find a permanent job. After five temp positions, Madison finally feels she’s found a good position as the assistant to the finance manager at ZipMeds. There is a slight problem. Okay, a few. “Mr. Tight Buns” from the bakery is her new boss. He’s also best friends and roommates with her God-brother. And she’s attracted to him like bees to honey.
The attraction isn’t one way. Elliot is also attracted to Madison in the worst way. Unfortunately for them, the company has a strict no fraternization policy. They each love their jobs too much to let a little attraction get in the way. But their attraction proves to be too hard to resist.
It was really great watching these two together. Madison and Elliot are fun and passionate. They fit together perfectly. The problem is they’ve both been hurt and trust is something they lack. I’m not particularly crazy about the fallout of their romantic entanglement. I definitely think things could have been different. The Wherever You Go series is wonderful, with fabulous main and secondary characters. What really sticks out for me is that this series is all about empowering young women. It shows that they are smart, strong, and capable of love. All the heroines in this series have proven that they can be their own person. Here’s hoping this series continues. There’s a new guy who graces the pages, just waiting to be Robin’s next dashing hero.
**Received a copy from the author and reviewed voluntarily.**
There are a lot of tropes mixing in this book – an office romance combined with friends-to-lovers, while throwing in plenty of forbidden romance and even a hint of best-friend’s sister (although not quite, because Madeline is only like a sister to Elliot’s best friend), which all come together to make a surprisingly slow burn romance that has plenty of lustful looks and thoughts and much dithering and vowing to forget for the good of both their jobs. It makes for a fairly good read, if not my favourite from this author.
I liked Madeline. She’s smart and competent and determined to pick herself up and get on with her life after freeing herself from her douche of an ex. She doesn’t have much experience – in the work place or relationships – but once she gets started it was great to see her confidence blossom. Her dating disasters were pretty funny and I loved when she spent time with her friends.
Elliot… hm. It isn’t that I didn’t like Elliot, but I never felt like I got to know him all that well either. The man is focused on his career and a little more carefree in his (rare) free time. In fact you could say he gets about a bit. He’s never noticed Madeline much until she comes to work for him, but there is a hint that he did this deliberately because she was attached for most of the time he’s known her. But, I don’t know, I just didn’t get much of a feel for him. He clearly has issues with his family, but his family didn’t seem that awful. He’s just a bit of a pouter, who gets jealous over Madeline very easily and has a tendency to rate himself and his needs higher than hers. He’s not a bad person, but he is shallow and self-absorbed and won’t go down as a fave for me.
Their relationship is slow to build, because of their jobs, but there’s plenty of heat when they get started. Even though the back and forth, will-they-won’t-they, oh-no-we-mustn’t-or-we’ll-get-fired got a bit tiresome after a while. They are good together and make a good team, but mostly because Madeline is excellent at supporting Elliot. It would have been nice to have seen things go a little more the other way, or have Elliot acknowledge things about Madeline that weren’t physical, sexual or how great an assistant she was. And although there were aspects I liked about the ending, I still felt disappointed it all kind of went Elliot’s way.
So it’s okay. Bielman’s writing is as entertaining as always and there are plenty of characters that I liked. It’s just a shame Elliot wasn’t really one of them. Maybe it’s the first person perspective, but this series sadly isn’t quite hitting the mark for me.
Fraternizing in the workplace may be against work protocol, but Elliot Sax and Madison Hastings cannot seem to resist the pull they feel towards each other, which means secret encounters and forbidden rendezvous are risks they’re both willing to take once they realize that their mutual attraction refuses to dissipate.
But to get to that point in their relationship, Elliot and Madison, as well as readers, must endure mixed signals, frustrating interactions, and missed opportunities that will have them all shaking their heads and wishing that the characters’ stubbornness would ease up so they can explore the chemistry that’s been simmering just below the surface since the two first met, which was actually before Elliot became Madison’s boss.
It’s quite the predicament that Elliot and Madison find themselves in when it comes to suppressing their desire for one another. Because it’s not just the non-fraternizing clause that the pair is dealing with, even though that’s a huge complication, but there’s also the fact that Madison is one hell of an assistant whose intelligence and organizational skills allow everything to run smoothly, which, in turn, allows Elliot to be successful as well…moreover, Madison’s insecurities play into her decision to avoid close encounters with her sexy boss, but the more time Elliot and Madison spend together, the closer they became, which means it’s only a matter of time before they both throw caution to the one and put their jobs and their hearts on the line.
I love friends-to-lovers and office romance stories; there’s just something about the slow burn of friends figuring out that there’s more between them than plutonic friendship. Add in the forbidden aspect of Elliot and Madison’s intimate relationship due to the no-fraternization policy at their workplace and readers have a romance that builds slowly in terms of actions but holds a steady stream of desire and fantasies as these two circle around one another and try to figure out how they can keep their jobs but also ‘keep’ each other.
Robin Bielman’s Too Hard To Resist fits in well with the other two stories in her Wherever You Go series because it has the same level of heat, drama, humor, and sass that make for enjoyable reads. I also like the fact that readers get to check in with previous couples and while all three couples don’t ride off into the sunset, readers can rest assured that Bielman has given them a fantastic start to what should be their forever love.
Robin Bielman's TOO HARD TO RESIST lived up to it's title. It is catchy and the cover is so gorgeous. This, aside from the fact that I've heard good reviews for the author's previous work, is what made me grab this to read and review.
Let us also add to the fact that Bielman's writing is very engaging and fluid. Office romances probably sounds common to most. Add to the fact that this is a slow-burn romance too? It gets tricky right there.
But the author has a way in portraying her characters through her writing that will make you riveted to her love story. She knows how to build-up the character's personalities and the story gets exciting as you read. You can feel the attraction both main characters are having towards each other and there are plenty of scenes between them that really oozes with sexual chemistry. It's amazing, and yet the author impossibly made it still a clean romance, in my opinion.
TOO HARD TO RESIST is a story about two people attracted to each other but can't and won't act on it, because, well, priorities. Both careers are important to the hero and heroine and as long as they can fight their attraction, they will not be able to jeopardize their respectful jobs. Or can they?
Try hard as they may, along the way, their attraction is just TOO HARD TO RESIST.
Now, lines are crossed and their jobs may or may not be in jeopardy. What will these two do when the wall they built are already breached? What will they choose, a possible relationship or their careers?
This has been beautifully executed by Robin Bielman's and she really pulled off this love story. It's slow-burn, yes, but Oh! did she managed to make this book sizzle with chemistry.
I highly recommend this book especially to those who love tropes like office-romances, friend to lovers and slow burns.
*I received an early review copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange of my honest review,
Too Hard to Resist is completely IRRESISTIBLE! Prepare for the funniest, sexiest, most heart-stoppingly romantic read of the year! If you loved Simon Parker from Wallbanger or Bennett Ryan from Beautiful Bastard, buckle up because you’re going to adore Elliot Sax. He’s smart, ambitious, and utterly hot. And Madison is just the girl to match wits and wiles with him. The chemistry between them is absolutely explosive, but I’d be selling this story short by focusing solely on the banter and attraction. The book packs an emotional punch too, as what’s supposed to be strictly a working relationship evolves into so much more.
It’s another five star read from an author who always delivers on every level. If Bielman isn’t already on your auto-buy list, she will be now!
Let's start like we always do, with the cover - or why I picked the book. I liked the model, he looks a bit like my hubby, if I have a couple drinks and squint really hard.
Actually, the real reason I picked the book was the title. Too Hard to Resist as soon as I read it I thought there had to be a dirty joke somewhere. I mean, we all know at least a couple things that are hard and well hard to resist...
I guess we should talk about the book today, shouldn't we? I liked it a lot. It was engaging and easy to read. There was witty banter and undeniable chemistry between our main characters. The relationship also felt a bit forbidden which made it oh-so-exciting. I highlighted so many amusing quotes, I have no idea what to do with them.
I'm sure I had a goofy grin on my face for half the book. It took me back to the years of dating before I found my prince charming. You have to kiss a lot of frogs, right? But, as bad as some of those dates were, no one ever offered me a glitter sex capsule. To be honest, I'm not sure if I'm relieved or disappointed by that.
My poor ovaries exploded, more than once as I was reading this book. What is it about good-looking guys and kittens? It's so... so, I don't know, intoxicating? Maybe swoon-worthy? I guess it doesn't really matter, I like it and I liked Elliot. He's probably the best book boyfriend I've had all week! That's saying something, I go through a lot of those.
Want to hear about the sex? Yeah, I know you do. We just talked about sexy men and kittens, I'm sure everyone is a bit hot and bothered. It's fine, we're all friends here. The sex is steamy, more so than I was expecting for a new adult book. Consent was very clearly established, which I absolutely loved. The dirty talk was lovely to read and it was very sweet how he embraced things he knew turned her own, like playing up the potential of being caught.
I only have one little complaint, and it's not really a complaint mostly just an annoyance. But I think it needs to be addressed. You see when people experience arousal, they tend to lose the ability to exercise rational thought and sound judgment. They get caught up in the moment and don't think about the consequences of forgoing a condom, for example. Maybe I'm old fashioned but the STI and protection talk seems pretty risky to have after a couple orgasms when he's ready to push into her. Who's thinking clearly after orgasms? That hardly seems like the time to have the you-might-want-to-get-tested-after-this conversation.
Overall, Too Hard to Resist, was a wonderfully engaging book that put a goofy grin on my face. I'd recommend this book to anyone looking for a light-hearted read to keep you company on the beach.
Robin Bielman is an author that makes you have fun with her books. Too Hard to Resist is no exception as it's a light, quick read that will make you smile. It's a slow burn office romance that will leave you hot but satisfied with its sexual tension.
Madison is ready to move on with her life and that means succeeding in her new job. She has all that she needs but she cannot have what she wants; her boss.
Elliot has met his assistant before but for the first time he is attracted to her. There is a strict no fraternizing policy but he cannot resist breaking some rules.
As these two were friendly before this job, it was difficult to keep their distances. They were honest from the start about their mutual attraction , something that I liked but they did everything in their hands to stay away from each other. I would have loved to see them more as a couple sooner but I have to say that their dirty talking and the foreplay was hot.
Elliot is clever, honest and sexy but sometimes I wanted to him to be more open about his feelings. Madison is sweet, hardworking and smart. Sometimes they are both stubborn making their pull and push a little frustrating and you want to shout at them to just surrender.
Their relationship has this forbidden aspect that is alluring and when they stop resisting they are explosive together making their sexy scenes my favorites ones. I have to say that I like the spicier writing the author has in her latest books.
It's always a nice addition seeing characters from the previous books and this story has some nice cameos .
If you like books racing with sexiness but also fun, Robin Bielman is the author for you!
Too Hard to Resist by Robin Bielman is a beautifully written and heartwarming read.
I loved reading Elliott and Madison's story, they made me laugh, they made me swoon and they entertained me watching them fall in love. Elliott and Madison were likable, passionate characters that I easily connected with and totally understood their dilemma with working together and struggling to keep their attraction at bay.
This was one of those reads that will keep you turning the pages and staying up late into the night as you can't put it down. I loved Too Hard to Resist and the ending left me with a huge smile on my face.
Too Hard to Resist is an excellent addition to the Wherever You Go series, each book has been a joy to read and while they can be read as a standalone I recommend you read them all as you get to see the previous couples in books two and three.
Thank you Robin Bielman for writing and sharing your wonderful words and characters with us <3
Meh, this was just an okay read. I had a hard time liking Elliot oftentimes since he seemed too selfish and career-focused. There's nothing wrong with being focused on your career, but to assume the girl you're in love with will just give up her career since you're a man and you're in a higher ranking position was just wrong in so many ways (and I'm in no way close to a feminist). I did like Elliot at first though, he just ruined it for me when he made that rash decision for Maddie.
I enjoyed the slow burn 'forbidden' romance building between Elliot and Maddie. They had a no-fraternization policy at the company they both worked at and yet that didn't stop them from crossing the line more times than they should have. Elliot was a playboy before this book, so to see him change his ways was quite refreshing. And of course, I was really hoping Mads would finally get her HEA after the whole canceled wedding/cheating fiance debacle in the first book.
Maddie really surprised me in the end there. She took what should have been a heartbreak and turned that into something empowering. I loved her ambition and strength to continue to accomplish her dreams and aspirations once she really gave them serious thought.
The ending was kind of disappointing. I don't know if there will be a book after this one, but this one ends with just a HFN in my opinion and I'm still anxious to see how they fare later on in life. A recap of all the characters years down the road would have been nice.
"Even if he weren't my boss...he's a million times out of my comfort zone. I'd never be enough for someone like him."
Madison Hastings desperately needs this job so she can save enough money to move out of her parents' home. She can finally put her college degree to good use, too. The fact that her new boss is also from her social circle shouldn't be a problem. However, she wasn't prepared for the sexual attraction that blooms between them.
"I'm terrified of her and the things she makes me feel."
Elliot Sax has a career goal. Always the underdog of the family, he's determined to prove to his parents and siblings that he can be a success. When Madison proves herself a more than able assistant, things really start to take off at his new job. However, he wasn't at all prepared for the seriously distracting mutual desire between them. A desire that could cost them both their jobs and ruin friendships.
"You constantly steal my breath in the best possible ways."
This was a super sexy, slow burn romance. There's the office angle, as well as the friends-to-lovers angle. I loved how hard they fought for normality and friendship; how hard they fought their attraction to one another. The chemistry and passion between them was SIZZLING! Paxton is pretty tough and serious but he has one dirty mouth! Madison battled hard against her feelings, and her strategies for keeping away from one another made me laugh.
This was a fabulous read, and it was great to see familiar faces from the previous standalones in this series.
This is a brilliant, steamy, contemporary romance with plenty of humour that had me laughing out loud. With mutual friends who have become couples, it would be great if Elliot and Madison actually got together - or would it? Actually the other couples aren't keen, she's just got a new job and he's her boss and, to top it all, their work place has a no work romances policy, so no, they shouldn't get together. However, that attraction between them is so hot it is so difficult for them to resist . . . . Is love worth the risk or are their jobs more important? Decisions, decisions and romance - a great combination for a brilliant read you'll find too hard to put down!
The chemistry between the two main characters, the banter and fun counteracted by the angst and turmoil as both endeavour to resist their attraction make this into another really enjoyable page turner from this talented author. She manages to put the reader into the scenarios and having much of the story told in the first person enhances this. I thoroughly enjoyed this office romance and have no hesitation in highly recommending it (along with anything else by Robin Bielman) to anyone who enjoys well crafted romances!
I requested and was lucky enough to be given a copy of this novel, via NetGalley, with no obligation. This is my honest review of the book after choosing to read it.
the third book in the wherever you go series, too hard to resist, has elliot and madison finally hooking up, but its complicated by the fact that elliot has become her boss. when she accepted a temp-to-hire job she never imagined that her boss would be the guy she couldn't stop noticing.
and elliot is just as screwed, because while he finds madison hot, he also values her intelligence and the fact that she's the best assistant he's ever had. and on top of that, the office has a strict no-fraternization policy and both their jobs are on the line.
things run so hot between them though. it's only a matter of time before they give in. and it's complicated by madison's insecurities—courtesy of the evil ex from the first book—and elliot inability to say exactly what he means. it's all good when they finally get on the same page. these two are basically meant for each other from the start, once they get their baggage out of the way, they are pretty much exactly on the same page.
**too hard to resist will publish on april 16, 2018. i recieved an advance reader copy courtesy of netgalley/entangled publishing (embrace) in exchange for my honest review.
Quite possibly my favourite of the series so far, I adored Elliott and Madison from the get-go and reading their story left me with a complete feel good vibe. Friends to lovers and forbidden love are two of my favourite genres and Too Hard to Resist was perfect on both counts. Both Elliott and Madison are career driven and when they end up working for the same company (a company with a strict no fraternisation policy) things start to get complicated. The sexual tension between them was palpable, I was dying for them to ‘get it on’, however their restraint was admirable. They worked so well together in the story as both work colleagues and lovers. Told in dual POV the writing was perfect, the story was sexy, funny, heart warming and sweet. I loved the appearances of Mateo and Teague, and Levi and Harper, it was wonderful catching up with them and their antics. I can’t wait to see what Robin Bielman produces next. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.
When I got the chance to read an early copy of Too Hard to Resist, I was so happy! This series has been so enjoyable to read and what made Robin Bielman a must-read author for me. I highly recommend it! While this is the 3rd book in her Wherever You Go series, it can be read as a standalone.
The chemistry between Elliott and Madison is smokin’ but they know they have to try and keep their hands off each other, no matter how hard it is. Workplace romance could get them both fired. They work really well together and neither of them wants to jeopardize what they have going on professionally. But how do you work with someone everyday that you can’t get out of your mind? How do you pretend you don’t want more? Is it worth the risk after everything you’ve worked so hard for? These are the dilemmas that haunt both Elliott and Madison.
It’s not an easy road for these two, but oh what a journey! Sexy, sweet, funny…Too Hard to Resist is a book you don’t want to resist reading!

I’ve read a handful of books by this author through the years and she still has me coming back for more when a new one comes out. It was such a pleasure to read this new story by Robin Bielman and that she is a part of the entangled publishers as I know they have really great authors there. The book really comes alive as your reading, you can picture the story in your mind and makes you feel like your going on the same journey as the characters and this is something that this author does really well in my opinion. There was just the right amount of heat, chemistry and romance between the characters and through the story. The storyline is also amazing too. I so can’t wait to see what this author writes next and I would definitely recommend this book to everyone
Elliot is quite blunt, sometimes the man just blurts things out, “eff, Madison. The very last thing I ever want to do is hurt you. Ever. I’m saying that because I’m jealous. I’m jealous, okay? I want you, and I don’t want anyone else to have you.” ****. I can’t believe that all came tumbling out of my mouth." Elliot's questions are basically statements, “I’m going to eff you now. Is that okay?” He stalks toward me, blue eyes piercing and powerful." Elliot wants his woman in a lot of places, “My house, my bed, my shower, my car, my porch, my backyard, my couch, on top of me, underneath me, riding me, at baseball games, dinner dates, movie nights, in coffee shops, art galleries, Paris.” He lets go of my hand to brush my hair behind my ear. “I want you next to me always.” I liked this book, I loved Madison the girl was quirky and knocked Elliot down a peg or two.
Loved, loved, loved!! I laughed, I swooned, and I cheered as Elliott and Madison worked through the slow build of their relationship. Sure there was immediate attraction but since any type of relationship is strictly prohibited in the workplace they try to fight it! Some things are just too intense to ignore and eventually they give in to the flame burning between them. Where do they go from here? You will definitely want to grab a copy of this one and find out! I highly recommend it.
The first two books in this series were so much fun, and I was thrilled to be able to read TOO HARD TO RESIST early. I stayed up well past my bedtime reading this romantic page-turner. Robin Bielman knows how to draw the reader in with her likable characters and witty banter. This book will leave you smiling!
Too Hard to Resist is live! I love Madison and Elliot so much and hope you will too! Hugs and thanks to all of you for spending time with my characters - it means the world to me! xoxo
Robin Bielman is a must read author for me and I just love her work! Too Hard to Resist was a wonderful read and I couldn't put it down. Much like the first too books in her Wherever You Go series, Maddison and Elliott captured my heart and I wanted them to get their perfect HEA. This book was fast-paced, wonderful, and everything I've come to expect in a Bielman romance. I'm already excitedly awaiting her next release! Can I just say, I'm 100% for Van and Abby story!
I absolutely love this sexy office romance! Elliot and Madison are so adorable together, and I was swept up into their fun, flirty relationship as they tried to keep their hands off each other! Another winner from Robin Bielman!
