The main problem with this book is that it is actually a transcript of a talk or series of talks. This means that it’s not just conversational in tone, but disjointed and difficult to read. For example: ‘You saw there with Milo. Milo, is one of the most-I don't want to say extreme. That is not the right word. It is not kind. The most intense dogs I have had. His behavior has been the worst, if you like. You know what I am thinking of. The most, you know?’
The book also has links to YouTube videos which are then discussed. I bought the Kindle version so it was no problem, but I’d have been very frustrated if I’d bought the paperback.
The actual content is good, basic positive reinforcement dog training. The topics covered are jumping up, pulling on the lead, aggressive behaviour, nuisance barking and coming when called. If you’re new to dog training I think it could be a big help.
The editing was poor but the content is gold. If you don't 'speak' Scottish you may struggle a wee bit with some of the phrases. Best read on an ereader where you can jump to the videos. An excellent resource.
