i have read a few contemporaneous spoken-word poetry books, but Soft was the most beautiful thing i´ve read. i can sense a broken heart, but not with grief - no -, with much hope, someone who has taken a lesson out of her scars, someone who is willing to live and to love again, with no fear, with no regret, genuinely and thoroughly.. always be kind, no matter how people hurt you. don´t be a mirror, be the reflection on it, be the image that everyone needs to see for a better world. be soft.

I just finished this book in one day, only because I felt like I can relate to every words on every pages. Here is a little bit of my personal story. I am in a relationship with a man, my first boyfriend, who somehow always makes me a psychopath. I felt empty when I’m with him but then crave for his touch when he’s not around. And he is not always around. All the time I can’t find myself to gather up courage and tell him about my true feelings. I guess I have to soon because continuing like this will just eventually hurt the both of us.

I honestly loved the whole book. It spoke to me in so many ways and it teaches so many valuable lessons. After heartbreak we tend to harden up ourselves but this book is so positive that it teaches us to remain soft in this dense world.

This was an amazing book and I highly enjoyed the style as well as the depth. I have always loved this author and her works are always amazing. the book had so many profound and relateable poems and I truly felt the authors struggle through her words. I felt as though some of the poems were written just for me, about my life. I felt as though the author was speaking straight to my soul and I love when a book does that to me. Very well written and I would recommend this book to anyone.

#Soft by #KianaAzizian Have you ever heard the saying, “You don’t choose a book; the book chooses you?” If you have, this book falls into that category. The poetry book I bought about five years ago, dealing with life, love, and loss, is crafted and written beautifully.

This book was the starting point of my admiration for Kiana Azizian’s writing, even though her poems are simple and straightforward. Yet, it is the precision of emotion and phrasing that stands out. It is one of the books I cherish that accompanied me through a period of loss and hardship in 2018. This book chose me, and I don’t regret accepting it at all. ❤️
