Hands down one the of the best Highlander books that I have read. I have been reading the books about this family from the beginning. I love how Keira has broken down the family into groups, It makes it a little easier to follow the families. Maggie and Will's story was filled so much love and adventure I can't wait hear more about them. I couldn't put the book down. I just had to know what was going to happen. There was lots of mysteries to keep you guessing but also a lot of laughs. It was ...more

I was excited to begin a new series. However, I felt the entire time like I was just missing something and I was supposed to understand the plethora of characters and many relationships that were not really developed here. I discovered from another review this may have been an offshoot of another family series. Wish I would have known and hence, the multitude of 5 star ratings from others, I'm guessing. They obviously knew something I didn't.

While I enjoyed the heroine and her antics, I did not

I might be missing something as I now read that this is a spin off of another series. Unluckily with Goodreads' new series listing, I don't see this information. All the same, I find Maggie to be very immature. The possibility of her "disappearing" yet Will sees her without issue? and deciding to go to England on her own? The premise of this starts so poorly, why does she do this, the bad explanation, (view spoiler) ...more

I got this as a free download on Amazon Kindle so at least I didn't waste my money on the disappointment. It was a little slow to start but seemed like it was picking up and would be ok.... but by the time I got a little over halfway through it, I was so tired of it that I had to MAKE myself finish it -- and only because I absolutely HATE leaving a book unfinished. The plot wasn't really strong enough on its own to last through the whole length of the book, so it felt like the author just ...more

Another hit series start for Keira Montclair

Looks like Keira has a great new series starting w more if the Ramsay's and Grants in the highlands. Thus time tho it's the youngsters we'll be following since they're bay young anymore. The children of Alex,Quade,Logan etc are starting out on their ventures and finding their lives w plenty of excitement and twists and turns along the way. This one is the start of it all w Logan and Gwenneth's adopted daughter, Maggie trying to correct a past wrong

Even though this is the beginning of the Band of Cousins series, I could tell this was a continuation of stories already written. You can definitely read this as a standalone, but there are references to things that have happened in past books. I wish I would have read all the books before this one to know all the stories of the people in this book.

This was about Maggie and Will. Will has been on the run for a couple years now after avenging his mother, he is a wanted man.

Maggie is ready to

I must preface my review by saying that I had just finished reading the last book in The Highland Clan series and hated for the series to end. I’ve been reading one right after the other (starting with the Grants), loving them all. (Okay, some more than others but still loving them.) I’ve enjoyed going to the author’s Pinterest page to see how she envisioned her characters and I thought I had recalled at the end of one of the books a mention about more stories to come featuring the cousins. As ...more

I love the start of the series The Band of cousins.
For me the best part is that Maggie is Logan Ramsay's daughter. Anything with Logan Ramsay and Gwenyth... I'm all in. Logan is older but he still has that wicked sense of humor and his fierceness is ever present. So it just adds another dimension to the story that is already taking off fantastically.

Here we have Maggie who's bound and determined to protect her older sister Molly and in order to protect her she needs to get rid of someone who

I received this book as an ARC and was again very happy to read and review. Ms Montclair has once again written a book to keep the reader very happy. This book is the first in her new series and she has developed the characters so that the reader feels you know them well. It can be read as a stand alone book but if you have read many of her other books you will recognize many well loved characters. In this book there is adventure, mystery , suspense and of course romance. She has used this book ...more

Wonderful

Excellent new series by one of my favorite authors! When Keira Montclair announced she was starting a new series, my heart broke! I love the Grant/Ramsey families and I was sad that their story had ended! To my delight, the new series is about the younger members of the clan and0 their adventures. Such wild Scottish times! I loved reading about every minute of it and especially the strong girls who fight as well as the boys for goodness and the right! And they fall in love with the most

Highland Vengeance

This was a great read. It’s the story of Maggie’s constant struggle to put behind her how her parents gave her and her sister up when very young thinking they just weren’t loved or wanted. She sets out to extract vengeance on her own when her sister is accidentally shot and careens down a ravine. She is followed by a friend of her cousins who is in hiding himself for killing a man who burned his mother alive claiming her to be a witch. The story is about them working together

Another. Visit with much loved Clan, Family, and Friends.

Another 5 star book visiting my favorite people in Clan Grant/Ramsay, family, friends, and now Band Of Cousins. What a joy to dig into another awesome story with favorite people. It is full of adventure, intrigue, love, loyalty, sweet old and new romances, especially tender new relationship. Fabulous strong, protective H and h. Women as good, or better with weapons, than men, even more feared. Couldn’t put it down, had to see what next.

You know how when you are so into a book you say "you can't put it down"? I had the opposite problem here, I struggled so hard to pick this book up to read. It's relatively short, yet reading this was such a slog it took me over a week. The storyline was way too modern, with the heroine always running off into danger directly defying the orders of her father and laird. The villain was textbook bad guy with no depth to him and everything wrapped up super trite and stupid. The only reason this ...more

The first in a new series is best when read after the Highland Clan and Clan Grant series. There are many characters from the other series in this series.
Maggie is sworn to revenge against the English lord that mistreated her sister and herself when he got them from their parents as small children.
Will is an outlaw that killed the man that burned his mother as a witch.
Together they join to end the evil lord, but they fall for each other.
Suspense, tension and adventure makes this a great read..

Highland Vengeance

The book was an okay read. I got really irritated at Maggie going off half cocked to get vengeance against an earl without a plan, twice. She's supposed to be 27, that's old for that time period and should have more maturity. She's also supposed to be a seasoned warrior of her fathers and should have more discipline. As far as Will goes, I felt his personality should have been more forceful. This is the first book I've read of this author. I probably won't read another, but if

Loved the story of Maggie and Will. When Maggie’s older sister Molly is hurt, she realizes she needs to act revenge against the Randall Baines from her childhood! She meets up with the Wild Falconer (Will) and they set off. What the come upon is a young lass being whipped in the square. Maggie remembering her childhood she acts in haste and saves the child. She is later accused of killing 3 of the Earls people and arrested. Will along with her family need to uncover the truth. Another awesome ...more

In a world where doing what you're told, what you've promised, and what won't cause hardship for your clan is paramount, this kind of story pisses me off. In the attampt to make an abnormally (for the era) strong female character, what we actually get is a willful brat who continually disobeys so her whole fucking family has to disrupt everything to go chase her down. Repeatedly. The whole premise is ridiculous and annoying.

Keira Montclair has done it yet again! This is the first book in her new series about the younger Ramsays and Grants, and it's amazing! The story is captivating with nonstop adventure. I loved how Keira was able to seamlessly continue the story of everyone's 2 favorite clans. Without giving anything away, I'll just say that it was great seeing the group of cousins follow in the footsteps of their parents. I'm excited for the rest of this series!

Vengeance

I absolutely love Keira 's books. I am so glad to continue reading about the Grants and the Ramsey 's. It is fabulous that the cousins will continue to fight injustice. Maggie and Will are honorable and passionate. Very good start of the new series, can't wait for the next book.

Eager beaver

I got this book as a free download. I found it an easy fast read. I Enjoyed the adventure and the characters except for Maggie the main character. I found her to be over the top with her emotions and being over sex drive. Here's a virgin who all she wants to do is have sex with her man. Really? I think not!

Love it!

I love this book! Love it when you put little ones in it. And all the banter. With some seriousness too! And and and. LOL my favorite part was when Maggie took Baines down and punch him. I did laugh out loud with that one. But if you charge 4-5 dollars then I won't be able to read the others.

Another beautiful story full of action, love and mister Ives!!

It's like we, as readers, have become apart of this highland family. After reading the Grant Clan books and The Highland series you become invested in their lives. This is so beautiful to see the families grow, and to be apart of the journey. I love reading these books!!

The newest set!!!

The author returns to the Grant/Ramsey clan, starting the third arc, and youngest of the cousins. The Band of Cousins will be just as intriguing as the rest! Thanks so much!

Right the wrongs

I enjoyed this book . The women were treated as people first and women second. The weak were protected and evil hunted down. But just like real life not all evil was ended.
Good read.

Wonderful

Keira is an excellent writer and I have enjoyed several of her series. This story was excellent because these things actually went on in this era. Good lead in for the Band of Cousins.
