I had a great time reading ICED, the first mystery in this series. This one was even better! A very well plotted mystery set in a resort in Vail, Colorado.

Thanks to the perfect description of the resort and the characters I felt as if I was right there with Julienne and Porsche investigating the murder. Their way of gossiping to get information was a lot of fun.

The book kept me engaged from the beginning right to the end and surprising reveal. There were no slow or boring times in this story.

Julienne is attending a prestigious ski conference in the Rocky Mountains with her best friend when a blizzard descends over the area. An unsavory attendee is murdered, leaving everyone stranded with a murderer with no way out until Mother Nature complies. I liked the interesting characters and the tension of being trapped with a killer. It is a well-woven plot, rife with trepidation and twists. It will keep you hooked from beginning to end.

“Nailed” earns 5/5 Snow-covered Crime Scenes…Murderously Fun!

Once again I was totally engaged in Avery Daniels’ clever mystery. Julienne is taking her job seriously, so when instead of her boss she is sent to a resort management conference in Vail, Colorado, she is very eager to sharpen her skills, network, and take lots of notes, but investigating a murder was not on the conference schedule. With her BFF Porsche in tow, they have their lovely evening, along with that of an ex-husband and his gi

NAILED is a fun, exciting follow-up to ICED. The main character in both books of the Resort to Murder Mystery series is Julienne LaMere, a resort management trainee. NAILED can be read as a standalone; you'll just be missing some backstory on Julie's ex-boyfriend Brandon and absentee boyfriend Mason.

I really like Julienne. She's relatable and easy to root for. The relationship between Julie and her BFF Porsche is well-written, and wonderful to read about. The supporting characters (especially J

Nailed: A Resort to Murder Mystery by Avery Daniels is the 2nd book in a new series located in Colorado. I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading the next book in the series. I live in Colorado, so I especially enjoy hearing about familiar settings. I found this book to be a quick read, with a well developed plot and characters. If you love fun cozy mysteries, I recommend this book.

I received this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I enjoyed this cozy mystery. I like the fact that everybody got snowed in with a killer on the loose, it made it an unusual mystery and gave the author a chance to spook everyone with horror films reference. The characters are great and I liked the way they went about solving the case by setting up gossip spies. The mystery it's self was interesting and with plenty of suspects it kept you guessing until the end. This is book two and having listened to book one iced, I was pleased to see the stor ...more

Julienne invites her best friend Porsche to join her while she attends a Resort Management conference. The lovely description of the hotel, the food and the events at the resort helped place the reader in the setting. This fun getaway turns frightening when they are snowed in with a killer who has struck not once but twice. Soon Julienne is gathering information and gossip, enlisting the help of "irregulars" to help the police figure out who the killer is. Ms. Daniels wrote the story in a way th ...more

The story and characters a very well developed and make you feel like you are right there in the thick of things! Fabulous descriptors bring the book alive as you follow along on business trip turned murder investigation with the welcome addition of a little bit of romance, as you would love to see in any cozy mystery. Julienne was looking forward to attending a management conference in a prestigious ski resort high in the Colorado Mountains. This was what she had always dreamt of - being able to meet people and work in different resorts around the world. She had her best friend Porshe with her and they were both very excited. On their first evening, they noticed Kara Caine, a realtor from Colorado Springs who was doing the rounds, annoying several people with one foul swoop. Later in the evening, she went on ...more

This was a great read that continues on with Julienne who works at a Resort. She has taken a working break with her best friend Porsche. She is also worrying about new boyfriend Mason, who has taken on a job as undercover bodyguard to gorgeous celebrity women while acting as their boyfriend which makes Julienne uneasy.
Being snowed in while attending conferences on Resort management, Julienne is glad to have Porsche with her to fill in the trapped by snow days and nights.

A fantastic continuation of the Resort To Murder Mystery series. Julienne manages to go to a luxury ski resort as part of her work. Talk about a job perk! And better still, her bestie Porsche gets to tag along! It certainly should take her mind off of her rocky relationship with Mason. Well, maybe she could be overreacting to the travelling for his work. But, come on, he's fricking gorgeous, so he can't be trusted! The peace of the first night is totally ruined by a loud and rude heifer. A blizz ...more
Julienne is trying hard to improve her skills in the management business. When she is able to go to a conference in Vail, taking her best friend along, because her boyfriend, Mason, is busy, she is looking forward to learning a lot during the day and best friend fun in the evenings. What she did not count on was a killer storm.

You can read this as a stand alone. Any information or background you need from a previous case is provided. The characters are well developed, the writing fun and nicely

Julienne and her friend Porsche are at a resort in the Rockies for the annual Resort Management Conference. The next day someone dies and they are snowed in. They and a motley crew of employees and guest become the eyes and ears for detective as he and the rest of the police force deal with accidents and other folks snowed in.

Julienne again shows she's smart and resourceful. She puts her ability to get people talking to good use both in her conference classes and with other guests. Porsche parti

Interesting mystery with likable characters!
I received a copy in exchange for a review.
This is the second of the series and continues on the personal issues for Julienne and has a very good murder mystery thrown in. The setting of a mountain resort in a blizzard is used to full effect to contain the suspects and give the reader the clues to perhaps solve the mystery along with our heroine. It was good to see Porsche's character more filled out and to see that our characters didn't make unrealist

I read this without reading the first in the series. It can be enjoyed as a stand alone story but I kept wondering about references to some backstory. This is about Julienne who is attending a resort management seminar along with her friend Porsche. The plan is to learn as much as she can and enjoy the beautiful resort. The first night a realtor Kara seems to be making the rounds and irritating everyone she interacts with. No surprise she is the victim and everyone is stranded due to the weather ...more

I enjoyed this story. It is a good mystery and am looking forward to reading more. Julienne is going to a conference at a really nice resort and is taking her best friend with her. While they are there, they get snowed in and there is a murder. They can't leave and neither can the murderer. While trying to concentrate on the conference, Juilienne and her friends are trying to help the police solve the murder. I loved the premise of this book! Loved the two best friends, Julieanne, and Porsche, the mystery is good! There are s okome proof reading errors, not the Authors fault. However, the biggest problem I have is, no romance! The Dectective develops something with Porsche, no kisses, no nothing!? Julieanne, intelligent, beauty, has no boyfriend? I am looking forward to the next book, I have a feeling things will be heating up! These two young "snoops" are too pretty to be on their own for too long! ...more

Really enjoyed this book. A well written storyline and engaging characters made this whodunnit a page turner.

Julienne is at a high end luxury resort attending a conference in hotel management with her friend, Porshce. Before the conference can even begin someone is murdered and Julienne is right in the middle of trying to find the killer.

ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest
Julienne was just trying to enjoy this management conference.
How was she to know that murder was going to happen there?
To complicate matters, a blizzard strands the guests w/ the killer.
What will Julienne do?
She will solve the mystery of course!
The storytelling + the character's build were awesome!
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!

An entertaining read, with a very relatable main character, a well-woven plot and the right amount of romance to add some tension but avoid becoming the focus of the story.

I like the writing, and the way the characters were presented to us; and the fact that the mystery is actually a mystery and you can't guess the culprit from the beginning.

A recommended read for all cosy mysteries' lovers

It was good, but...Needs an editor. Several times words were left out that were needed, such as with, in a sentence. Other times, extra words in sentences.

When describing shoes, it's heel, not heal. This mistake was made several times during the final fight scene.

Had this book been edited properly, I would have given it a 4* review.

I really liked this book, it was a bit more involved than your usual cozy mystery but it had everything I look for in a book, good characters, great storyline and a touch of romance. What more could you ask for?

Good Cozy Mystery!

I like the two friends Porsche, and Julienne. They have checked into a resort for Julianne to take her course on Resort Management. Being in Northern Colorado, they are snowed in: with a killer! They meet a handsome detective Johann, who Porsche falls for. The part I do not like is; why does Mason get the boot? I love Mason; he is ex-military, why not a Patriotic man for a boyfriend? I gave this book a five the first time I read this book I loved it; now I realize how liberal i
