Acts the Apostles. A Pastor once said that this should be called Acts of the Holy Spirit. It gave the account of Jesus' appearance to His disciples instructing them to tarry/wait for the Holy Spirit. They received the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. The change in them was quite evident. The boldness of Peter when he spoke, the same Peter who denied Christ because he was afraid. Peter transformed into one who spoke the gospel of Jesus boldly, he was not afraid of being beaten, thrown into prison or even killed, a major transformation.

We saw the replacement of Judas who betrayed Jesus. We saw Stephen a man that was filled with the Holy Spirit being stoned and like Jesus before his death he asked God to forgive those that murdered him.

The account was given of Paul's conversion from a Pharisee who persecuted Christians to a devoted follower of Christ. After Paul met Jesus on the road to Damascus he was changed. His mind was renewed to the point where he was totally sold out to preaching the gospel of Christ. He was stoned, beaten, shipwrecked and imprisoned yet he continued to declare the name of Jesus anywhere he got an audience. Even in the presence of King Agripa who he perceived to believe, Paul preached and tried to convert him to become a Christian.

Several healing and miracles were seen. Thank God for the Holy Ghost.

Bless be the name of Jesus!

Years ago, I spent months listening to a preacher go through this book verse-by-verse. After a few years, he had not finished the book and had to take a break; this left a strange relationship between me and Acts, which made me dread listening to it since I've not read deeply in the book since then. I'm pleasantly surprised to say that not only did I enjoy the narrative immensely, but I enjoyed the sound of the King James translation. Very pleasant reading!

The day of Pentecost and the in dwelling of the Holy Ghost. The power of salvation. The Jews rejected Christ. And He was pushed c to the Gentiles and they accepted him. The account of Paul's conversion in the road to Damascus. What a wonderful book the book of Acts.

February has 28 days in it. I took the challenge up from Victory Baptist Church to read a chapter each day of the Book of Acts during the month of February. A wonderful book. I've read it many times. Much to glean from its pages.
