Oh dear lord! Dr. Rebecca Sharp tried to kill me with this book. Can you say angst? On the Edge gave me all the damn feels, made me ache so good, and was absolutely worth every second of it.

I love the sport romance trope and I usually love, love, love the heroes that come with them. So let me make this clear: I love Emmet, but he can be a total douche canoe! Seriously, I loved to hate him and yet loved to love him even more. Why? Because Rebecca Sharp is a damn genius, that’s why! Emmet is your

"She was heaven on my eyes and fucking hell on my heart."

On the Edge was my very first book by Rebecca Sharp, so I had no idea what I was up for and got surprised by a witty, funny, touching, hot and slow-burning lovestory.

"I was what could destroy him, but he looked at me as though his life would be worth the taste."

Ally's life got turned upside down quite a lot. So it's no wonder that she struggles with life, love and trust. Because every time things seem to go smooth, she has to deal with los

I have been waiting rather impatiently for this book. It is the second book in the “Winter Games” Series by Dr. Rebecca Sharp and can be read as a standalone but do yourself a favor and start at the beginning to get the whole devastating experience.
The plotlines overlap a little bit, so you will get certain scenes that you already know from the first book from a different perspective, but honestly, it doesn’t matter. You learn so much about Emmet a

I love The King of the Mountain

I honestly don't think I have anticipated a book more than I did with On The Edge! I love the SnowmassHoles and couldn't and can't wait to get into each of their heads.

On The Edge features the King of the Mountain, Emmett, and the youngest Ryder, Ally. It was an absolute stay up all night and finish read for me, who needs sleep anyway.

Right from the very first words I was ensnared into this amazing angst filled story of heartbreak, loss, and redemption. It's such

This is my first read by this author. She did a fantastic job grabbing my attention and wanting to learn more about these characters. This is the second book of the series but I had no trouble reading it without reading the first one.

Emmett......sigh.... I am a sucker for the broken hero. Such an a$$ to everyone. He is tolerated. His one night stands love him. His best friends know some of his secrets. But, man, are his walls up high. He doesn't want anyone to get to the the good, squishy stuff

Angst junkies - listen up! You will not want to miss out on this deliciously frustrating, sinfully sexy, emotionally wrought angst-a-palooza. On the Edge was a completely addictive read, even when it hurt to read (and it did sometimes hurt to read). I couldn't put it down and as Dr. Sharp toyed and twisted all my feels into a sort of gaspy, sobby mess in the end - I would 100% do it all over again, with relish.

This book gave me serious Jamie McGuire/Travis Maddox vibes. I haven't read something

I went into this read with serious high expectation after reading Up in the Air and even with these high expectations On the Edge blew me up out of the water and down the snowy slopes of the Mountain. Honestly the only complaint was that I wanted more Channing and Wyatt, but that’s just because I’m still obsessed with their story from Up in the Air.

Everything about Emmett and Ally was perfection. Enemies to Lovers, this slow teasing burn had me on the edge of my seat. As a self proclaimed and d

On the Edge is installment two in the Winter Games series by Dr. Rebecca Sharp. This is my first read by Dr. Rebecca Sharp and I was not disappointed. There are so many emotions within this book and I could not put it down.

Ally moves back to Aspen to be with her twin siblings after the loss of her boyfriend. When she meets Emmett, she is not prepared for the way she feels about him. Will she lower her walls and let him in?

Emmett is best friends with Ally’s brother which makes her off limits. Emm

On the Edge is the second book of the Winter Games series. It can be read perfectly as a standalone.

Ally is a young woman who decides to leave Florida and move in with her older siblings who are both snowboarders. Her first night there, she’s struck by Emmett, who is just as fascinated by her. Emmett is a delicious dirty talker, and almost an anti-hero. He’s an alpha-hole, but has an unwilling charm that drew me in and made me understand Ally wanting him. They both have demons in their past, an

Sports Romance books?

I didn't think that was my thing, but Miss Rebecca Sharp made me see the error of my ways.

I've been waiting for On the Edge like cray, and finally I've read this masterpiece. I am flabbergasted. Totally amazed. In complete awe of this book. Rebecca Sharp did it again.

Ally and Emmett’s story has it all! I loved every single one of their interactions and the way their relationship began to change.

You definately need to read On the Edge, I'm sure

Great sequel!

I liked this book better than the first one, which is rare. Emmett and Ally have amazing chemistry and they're so explosive together. They were both guarding their hearts because of things in their past. I love the enemies to lovers idea also. He's such a sick, but then you get to see inside his head and all that he's been through. I liked that she was his sunshine, who brought him out of the dark. It was well written and the romance was so good. I will be (im)patiently waiting for

“We taunted each other with the desire we’d never admit to –a desire that we were forever on the edge of being engulfed by.”

On the Edge by Dr. Rebecca Sharp was my first experience with her storytelling, and her beautiful words floored me with an avalanche of emotions I wasn’t expecting. Ally and Emmett’s story had everything I love in an enemies-to-lovers, best friend’s sibling romance. I couldn’t put it down and any time I wasn’t reading, I wished I was. I was totally a

This book just saved me from a crazy week old book funk. Deciding to give this book a go was one of my best decisions this week. lol. this is such a book treat for just a lot of awesome reasons.

First, this has my favorite trope, the older brother’s best friend, a story of just enough kind of illicit going on. Saying so, with this kind of trope, I focus on how the hero, Emmett Jameson, will work on the major conflicts being the best friend and keeping a relationship. I love how it all went, I lov

Wow!!! The sexual tension doesn’t just crackle in this threatens to explode. Ally is returning home to Colorado to be with her brother and sister. She has spent many years living in Florida, but she needs the support of her family right now. She has suffered a devastating loss, and she needs to be somewhere that she isn’t surrounded by memories that threaten to drown her.

Emmett has baggage of his issues and secrets. He is also several years older than Ally, but wh

I could not put this book down! When I first started reading it, I wasn’t sure if it was the book for me or not, but I quickly changed my mind! I have not read the first book in the Winter Games series, but had no trouble following along. I didn’t feel as if I were missing anything, so while this may be the second book in the series, it can easily be read as a stand-alone.

I'm a HUGE sports fan so On the Edge was right up my alley on so many fronts. And Rebecca Sharp definitely nailed it with her talented writing style, not to mention that she almost KILLED ME DEAD with the over the top angst, that I'm still emotional long after every word was devoured. I'm full of so many mixed emotions when it came to the hero, Emmett, who was a total douche for a lot of the story, that I'm still feeling residual anger towards him. It's not that he didn't have a heart buried und ...more

On The Edge hits all the marks of a romance between a broody, surly, tortured and damaged hero who doesn’t believe he deserves to be loved, and the sweet girl who proves him wrong. In this case, it’s his best friend’s little sister who is the object of Emmett’s affection, so there is a double trope here. Ally is hiding some secrets of her own, and has major issues when it comes to feeling like she’s being left behind, so this story is full of angst as she and Emmett waffle back and fort

Wow, Ally and Emmett's story is an enemies to lovers that could melt the mountain with the heat of their hate-passion.

The build-up, the banter and back and forth between them, sparks fly and sizzle. Both characters struggling under the weight of pain hidden in the depths of them. Neither think they are worthy of love or the other. Will they survive the inferno that ignites between them, or will they burn?

This story hits you everywhere, the heart, your panties and right in the damn feels. I loved

ivy's $0.02:

I hate that this is the first book I’ve read from this author. It was a great read, loved the story line.

Emmitt and Ally’s story is what you would call hate to lovers. It was hate from Chapter 1, The King of the SnowmassHoles takes one look at the beautiful Ally and knows he is screwed and decides he was going to protect her, especially from him.

Emmitt is frustrated by his attraction for her. He thinks he doesn’t deserve her because of his past. Of course, he acts like a total douche

After reading the first novel in the series, there was no doubt that I would love this one! On the Edge will have you wanting more with each click of your kindle. Ally and Emmett's love is forbidden, and their stories are messy and dark, which makes this read all the more captivating.

Although it can be read as a standalone, I think there is a huge benefit to starting with the first novel in the series. Up in the Air focuses on Ally's sister Channing but the from reading the first novel the read

Emmett has been covering himself in a type of dark shame for most of his life. With a past that not many in his circle could relate to, he refuses to let anyone in, preferring his darkness until a bright light by the name of Ally turns up, threatening the existence he was already accustomed to.

This is one of the best enemies-to-lovers, brother's-best-friend, forbidden love tropes that I've read in awhile. It's full of heat, passion & frustration. It does, literally keep you on the edge, wond

Emmett and Ally were explosive on every level.
This story was very different and I am pleasantly surprised. They don't start off on the best terms, quite the opposite actually but you soon find out that that's what Emmett created just to try to stay away from her. He adores Ally right from the beginning but because of his friend he handles it terribly and tries everything to push her away. The heart wants what the heart wants and when push comes to shove Ally sees that for herself and that Emmet

On the Edge is about Ally and Emmett. Ally had gone through devastating emotional trauma and moved to be closer to her brother and sister. She hates for people to leave her, abandonment shuts her down. She meets Emmett. But she's met him before when she was younger. He is her brother, Chance's best friend. They're older than Ally. Sparks fly. They want what they can't have or shouldn't have. Coping with loss, Emmett and Ally try and figure out what is important and if they are deserving of each ...more

4.5 Stars - This was my first book by Dr. Rebecca Sharp & it was a memorable one. I love it when broken people are able to help each other become whole again. The way Emmett and Ally walked the fine line between loathing each other and needing each other like air to breathe, kept me on the edge of my seat, waiting for the moment their relationship tipped. Rebecca's writing is Beautiful and poetic and it took me on one of the most emotionally, angsty, compelling roller-coaster rides I have ever been on.
I was totally swept away and under the spell by Emmett and Ally's story it grabbed me by the heart and didn't let go until the end.

This book has all my favorites, sports romances, Best friends little sisters, and angst! This book was great. Ally is escaping her grief and going back to Colorado to live with her older twin siblings. Emmett is living life by never having relationships and being a cocky jerk to everyone. When the two meet, the fireworks are off the charts, but there’s a fine line between love and hate, and this book rides it the entire way through. Do yourself a favor and one click ASAP.

So 10 things I hate about you is literally one of my fa pyrite mvoues fo all time and the fact that each chapter starts with I hate that ..... in the chapter name was the best thing ever. I CAN tell you it is one of the best books I have read this year.
Typically when I read the first book in a serious I dub that couple my favorite and don't care to read the companions. I figured this would happen with this book too. I WAS WRONG.
I freaking LOVE Emmett and Ally. I love their characters and their sass when they are together. I want more of them!
Also a side note: Ally's bday had me feeling so many emotions omg
