Dangerously Taken

What an intriguing story. This is about Riley and Erin. Riley was first interested in Erin when he saw her picture when the team got the assignment. Erin was kidnapped by people Mark had hired because he wanted Erin dead. The Lepta team foiled his plan. Now the team had to keep Erin alive plus keep her from running from them. The team definitely had their hands full and Riley was falling for her. Towards the end of the story got very intense. In the end, the good guys won. Riley

I love the Aegis series of books from this author. They are all individual, standalone stories with characters that aren't all the same. The plots are well drawn & interesting & they move along at a nice pace, managing to combine just enough action to avoid it being too busy without being drawn out to fill space. I enjoyed the characters of Erin & Riley but this was not my favourite in the series. I did really enjoy it & probably by a lot of other authors it would be a 5 star, bu ...more

Good ideas... poor follow through...

Honestly, I’m not an expert on security work in the Middle East, but much of that information sounded believable to me... and even if it didn’t, it is a work of fiction. What I couldn’t let go of... was all the errors and typos. It looks like this is part of a bigger series, so I’m guessing the author is churning them out pretty fast. I would strongly encourage a good proofreader be added to her payroll. I’m an excellent proofread and I do like reading her wor

Erin and Riley have a rocky start. Erin is kidnapped, but no one knows why, especially Erin! Riley's team is sent in to rescue her. Seems easy enough, right? But someone else has other plans! In the meantime Erin and Riley have a quickly growing attraction to each other, but given their jobs, relationships aren't for them or are they? I love the Aegis stories, they are action packed and thrilling!

This was book one in the Aegis Group Lepta Team Series and starts the series off with a bang. Well written with complex, likeable characters and a page turning story line. Fast paced and action packed. You'll fall in love with Erin and Riley as they fall in love with each other. Suspense, mystery, hostages, Iraq and more drama and suspense than you can imagine. A great book and Sidney has another five star winner. I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.

Good romance

This was the first book in Aegis lepta team. This is Riley’s story. He meets and falls for Erin who is was kidnapped and is the focus of their current mission. The team members are tight and the action kept he book moving.

There was a little too much going on for me.Too many tight spots and to many people involved in the plot.I couldn't keep up with it.

Started well but I didn't care for Erin. Riley was very meh and his team didn't seem very united. Pity.

Another good book in the Aegis Series. As always I enjoyed these characters & their banter within the book.

Had potential but too many unnecessary F bombs and the word "chuckled" seemed to be used on every page. So much so it got to be distracting . The book completely lost me toward the end when Erin decides to sneak out from under her protectors and handle things on her own. Just dumb.

One of my least favorite books by Sydney Bristol. The action was okay but what killed this book for me was the constant inner monologue by both Riley and Erin. The inner monologue about their feelings and emotions and how they don’t know, etc. We get it y’all have doubts but I don’t need to read it every chapter. I skipped several pages because of the repetition. I like that Riley had the ability to make Erin laugh. Also Riley for a boy name threw me off. All the Riley’s I know are girls. Th

It can never be said that NYT & USA Today Bestselling author Sidney Bristol has had a ‘normal’ life. She is a recovering roller derby queen, former missionary, and tattoo addict. She grew up in a motor-home on the US highways (with an occasional jaunt into Canada and Mexico), traveling the rodeo circuit with her parents. Sidney has lived abroad in both Russia and Thailand, working with childre ...more
