Possible triggers: severe homophobia, stalking, death threats, attempted murder, references to conversion therapy
Good heavens, this author is KILLING me. It reminds me of another series I’m so fond of in a way. Not that things are exactly the same. Don’t misunderstand me. But the bonds these guys form and the family they form together. But their lives are by no means easy. Being a family full of cops and firefighters is bad enough, but when their lives are on the line from a moron….it makes for

There is quite a bit more action in this book from The Boys of Brighton series with Ben being sent threatening notes. This book starts out fast and just keeps going as more is revealed and it ends with a real bang. The relationship between the two main characters Ben and Grady starts out shaky but firms up as they try to find out who doesn’t want them to be together. I will warn you that there are a some real surprises in this book. A great action packed read.

Grady is the seventh book in the Boys of Brighton series by M. Tasia. This is a contemporary m/m romance with angst, stalker threats, suspense and hurt/comfort. Augh! I wanted to smack Ben at times. Grady deserved more honesty at times and my heart hurt for a bit. But a lovestory unfolds that made it up to me. This book was exciting and had me feeling emotions. Really cant wait to read more.

this one had more angst and action then the last one.. it was fun and interesting.. sexy and hott.. plus.. men in uniforms lol.. i did wish for more openess and honesty at times.. but they had to get through their own stuff before fixing themselves and each other.. and together they were perfection.

Grady finally starts to live a normal life after he was disowned by his family, forced to move to another city, change work, and had some problems in his new workplace. It seems that fate finally begins to favor him, especially since Grady is in a relationship with a man he loves. Unfortunately, it turns out that Ben Mason prefers to keep their relationship on the down low and although he does it out of concern for Grady's safety, he doesn't explain the situation to his lover. At some point, eve ...more

Grady has been seeing Ben. When they are together, everything is great and he's already fallen for that guy. The problem is that, for some reason, Ben doesn't want anyone to know they are dating. As usual, this story is told from the POV of both main characters... so as the reader you know much more than each of them.

Ben has a big secret.. and it's that someone has been sending him threatening letters. Most of the trouble comes because these two men can't seem to communicate with one another. Th

Grady is a police officer who had to leave the Dallas PD after he came out and his father, also a policer officer, did everything in his power to ruin him. Now he is a cop in a small town and when we meet him, is just coming back to work after a suspension. The author gives a vague reason--he didn't wait for back-up and accidently drew his weapon on a fellow cop's boyfriend--for the suspension without really telling us much more, so this may be because I haven't read the rest of the series. This was by far my favorite story of the Boys of Brighton series. The evocative themes were similar to past books, but I felt like the author took a real detour from the heteronormativity displayed in her previous stories here. She almost entered a world where she explored the possibility of having characters that were verse, but not quite. Because Grady and Ben had already been “seeing” each other when this book begins, there is no insta-love component. Also, aside from Dante and Spider in Sam” ...more

Each book just keeps better and better! And I am falling in love with each of these characters as we get to know each one in their own way. However, right now, I think that out of all the couples, the communication between Ben and Grady was the worst. Without giving too much away, things could have been avoided if the communication had been better. But I get why things were done the way they were. Ben is a firefighter who hasn’t been in a relationship in over 3 years. He had his heart broken and ...more

The Boys of Brighton are Back at it Again!
Book 7 from M. Tasia’s Boys of Brighton series of steamy M/M romance novellas is another winner! In “Grady,” we catch up with Bo’s brother, Ben Mason, a sexy-as-sin firefighter who has been a presence throughout the series. He’s hiding a dangerous secret in addition to the feelings he has for the new cop in town. Grady is gorgeous and damaged, having lost his whole family when he came out. He finds an opportunity to begin a new life enveloped in the acce

A burden shared is a burden halved. Grady, comes out and looses his family, his cheating boyfriend, Tony and job in the Dallas PD. His Dad took a hatchet to his reputation, so he resigned. His Dad's reach was long, and no one would hire Grady. He moves to Brighton and starts at the bottom, hoping to prove himself. He pulls his gun on fellow officer Bo's boyfriend, Travis and gets suspended. He falls in love with Ben Mason, firefighter who wants to keep their relationship on the downlow. Grady tr ...more

4.5 stars. I had to leave off half a star at least due to the lies and that awful date. Even though the reasoning in the end was justified, it still was horrible. Other than that I loved this one. Unlike some of the other books in this series that can be read as a standalone, I would highly recommend reading Travis before this one so u understand what the beginning of this book is referencing in terms of past events. These 2 made a great cou

I thoroughly enjoyed Grady. There is good continuity between it and the previous books, drawing previous characters and circumstances into this work that are well placed and are supportive of the current storyline and characters. It’s good to reconnect with them and see how they are progressing in their own stories.
The issue keeping Ben and Grady apart is an interesting twist, and I admit it took me a while to figure it out.
Their love and passion are strong, and their HEA is satisfying and beli

This series is recommended to be read in order as other books intertwine with characters from previous stories.
The book is filled with lots emotions such as angst and hurt and more which I loved keeping me reading. Dramatic scenes had me glued to this as I need to know things would work out. I loved the fire scene in this and especially loved the ending. Grady's past hasn't been cheery just the opposite but its not over yet. I cant wait to read Vincent's story, I really hope Sonny is found soon

The premise for this novel is interesting-- a secret relationship, a stalker, a whole lot of missed signals and miscommunications. I think there's a lot of potential in this story, but for me, it wasn't ever realized. Characters made, time after time, decisions that made absolutely no sense, not just about personal security, but also emotions. There was no logical flow or progression-- people were mad, then not-mad, then mad again. The plot had many twists and turns but most were implausible at ...more

This series gets better and better with each book! Grady and Ben had my emotions all over the place from start to finish. The pain they went through hurt my heart. I may have wanted to slap some sense into Ben a few times, though I understand why he did what he did.. even if I don't agree with it. There was a lot of action and suspense in this story that kept me guessing throughout. I especially love whatever is going on with Tristan and Vincent, and am so excited for Vincent's story next! This was a nice addition to the Brighton Boys. But....Grady and Ben sucked at communication. That’s the major premise of this book. It’s what kept them apart and made their lives much more difficult than it needed to be.

I did enjoy the book. I’m reading all the books in order fairly quickly so they tend to blend sometimes. I’ve said before how much time they spend in the hospital, well this had a double dose.

The Sentinels were front and center, more so than in the last couple of books. The books

With each book I read, I love this series more and more. I loved all the characters in this town and getting to know more and more of them over the course of the series is such a treat. This work was full of twists and turns that I didn't see coming. I loved watching the characters come to terms with the past, along with coming to terms of secrets hidden from each other in the present. I loved this book and couldn't wait to devour the next in the series.

I give this a five out of five stars.

I love M. Tasia but BRADY wasn't my favorite Boys of Brighton book
it was well written, but I found the chemistry between Grady and Ben to be at a simmer when the rest of the boys chemistry with the men in their books were white hot. I found myself more intrigued with what was going to happen with Tristan and Vincent then what was happening with Ben and Grady. still a good book. I give it a 3.80/5

Another great addition to Boys of Brighton

I am so glad that Ben and Grady to their story...and their HEA. It was quick moving and thrilling and the bad guy was quite a twist at the end. I am happy everything managed to work out and loved that many of the characters from previous books made an appearance.

Another lovely addition to this series! The only thing I didn't understand about Ben was that he never went to his brother about the problem he was having... he never talked to Grady about it either, which with Bo and Grady being cops he could have said something and they all could have been on the lookout. I liked how everything came to end, I don't think any other way would have done it. ...more

Grady came out as gay his father disowned him and he lost his job as a cop also. So he moved to Brighton and found Ben at a family barbecue, Ben kept their affair secret because of a stalker threatening to hurt Grady. The stalker did damage on Ben but he made it through. The stalkers were a surprise but if I really thought about it, I can see that the stalker was who it was. Great book!

As we reach book seven, this is the story of Grady Reynolds and Ben Mason. With a firefighter and a police offer, one would think these two had better communication, but no, not at all.

Turns out, keeping your relationship on the DL, can be a disaster waiting to happen. Despite being head over heels for the Grady, Ben can't seem to open up and tell him the truth.

Risk losing the one you love or be honest and risk uncertain danger. Soon, neither of them will have a choice.
