Humor is one of those things that we need in our lives. And it can be found anywhere, if we are willing to NOT take things too seriously.

Beetle Bailey does that with military life.

I guess I find Beetle Bailey humorous for a couple reasons:

While I was never IN the military, I did grow up as a Navy brat (and am proud to claim that moniker), and also Beetle Bailey was, I think, a more popular strip when I was growing up. So it means something to me on several levels.

Addison Morton Walker, more popularly known as Mort Walker, was an American comic artist, best known for creating the newspaper comic strips Beetle Bailey in 1950 and Hi and Lois in 1954.
