In Exile of Angels, we look through the eyes of Malik, the Archangel of Truth. Again, as expected from the author, engaging dialogue and a very creative story line. Every time I read one of her books I'm amazed again at the world building and her unique way of writing. I've said this of her other books as well, but there really is not that many books out there where the story is so refreshing and the characters so engaging, but on top of that - the literature style gives so much more depth and f ...more

A very different type of Urban Fantasy, focusing on fallen angels/demons who are fighting beings that are turning humans in Corrupted.

Malik isn't really sure what he is or how he got into this mess, but he can see/hear Truth. He is working with the Detroit PD as a "consultant" to fight the evil that is invading the city. Paired with John & Ed, the three are trying to find the Children of Hiram, a cult suspected of bringing the demons into the city.

Henry Black is running the special group fr

I read the prequel to this story (All the Broken Pieces - Which was great!) and that helped put this story into perspective some... I have not had the chance to read book 1 in the series and, although I was able to follow along, I suggest you read them in order for better understanding and more enjoyment. With that said...

I enjoyed Malik's story! Hearing a voice that makes him a lie detector, he is a bit broken. His name is Malik Sadik but he remembers nothing of his past other than an occasiona

Another great story by one of my favorite authors!

This was a very interesting read that helped draw me further along in the overall plot of this series. Malik was an enjoyable character, I found his feelings toward Henry black both surprising and amusing, even if I didn't share in his particular opinions. I'd hoped his relationship with Helen would have progressed romantically, but it appears his attentions may be set elsewhere... ;) I like that throughout the story Malik, was ever the human. He

Absolutely loved the book! Can't wait for the next book in the series, please hurry! What a great continuation to the previous books! Very well written, flows effortlessly and had me gasping, squirming ,trying to hurry my eyes to read faster to see what was going to happen next! This series gets better each book. Love how the characters, not just the main, but all ,are developing as the series continues and we learn more about each as we go! There are so many unanswered questions still and I can't ...more

I loved this book and Nieto is quickly becoming a new favorite!! I stayed up late, til about five in the morning to finish it! It's the kind d of story that pulls you in right from the start and makes you go *juuust one more page*....since I don't do spoilers this won't be that long. I did really like how Malik comes to terms with himself and whatever changes he's forced into. It deepens his character even more.
My only regret is reading this one before all parts are published😁

The second book in an exciting new urban fantasy series

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The cult, The Children of Hiram, are releasing the fallen angels from Hell into the bodies of volunteers.
Malik Sadik was in the wrong place at the wrong time. His body now hosts the Archangel of Truth, a fallen angel who was inadvertently released from Hell. The problem is that since the escape was not planned and Malik did not consent, he is confused and
