Pourquoi 5 étoiles? Tout d'abord parce que toute tentative de raconter l'histoire de France de manière posée, rationnelle, et saine dans ce monde où les passions sont déchaînées est un défi qui mérite d'être félicité. C'est ce pari risqué que Jean-Chistian Petitfils réussi. Après l'histoire Mondiale de la France par Mr. Boucheron (classé dans la catégorie "Roman" sur Google en date d'aujourd'hui), il était nécessaire de revenir à une histoire racontée par les français, pour les français, sans l' ...more

Bon tour d’horizon de l’histoire française. L’auteur réussit bien de captiver la lectrice/le lecteur. Malheureusement, au lieu d’écrire « l’histoire de France » comme l’annonce le titre de l’ouvrage, il a seulement écrit une « histoire de la France des hommes blancs hétérosexuels ».
Spoilers: Jeanne d’Arc finit sur le bûcher, Louis XVI sous la guillotine et Mitterand au palais de l’Elysée.

Insupportable mélange de faits historiques et point de vue personnel (conservateur) de l’ auteur, qui ne manque jamais de donner son opinion et présenter qu’une partie de l’information. Je regrette cet achat.
