This is a good book for novice investors who are looking to learn more about the markets, stocks, bonds, and mutual funds. The book covers a wide array of topics in brief detail but does so in a simple and easy to understand manor. The author provides some good examples and illustrations to convey his thoughts. For those who are new and looking to learn about investing I would also recommend fool.com.
This was a great read for me. It explained in terms I could follow all the different types of investing and the players involved. I'm the type of person who needs to see where everything fits together to be able to understand any little part of something so this was a wonderful general overview for me.
This book has a lot of good information when you're first learning about investments and the stock market. Some sections of the book could have been elaborated on more though. As I was taking notes, I had to use other sources to fill in the voids for myself. All in all though, it gave me a good start to my investment education.
