December 7, 2020I have quite a few of these books in my classroom library. They just get eaten up by my younger students for the images and quick facts almost like guiness world record books were back in the day. The information can be over the heads of younger elementary students but very appropriate for 3-6 grade students. There are plenty of opportunities for students to learn some new vocabulary based on the facts, animals, bugs, and science found in these books. This is also an easy book to adapt into science lessons like life cycles, segmentation of bugs, classifications, and other natural science concepts.

This kept the kids interested all the way through. Maddie loves bugs and thinks spiders are SO cute.
