Have a bread machine that's not being used as often as it could be? Do you wish you could replicate those crusty, aromatic "gourmet" breads in bakeries and food specialty stores? Here's a book to inspire you! From the test kitchens of Innovative Cooking Enterprises comes this collection of 51 irresistible "gourmet" recipes for home-baked bread, tested over and over again on more than 30 popular bread machines. Ingredients are clearly listed, along with special tips on ingredients and working with bread machines (you follow your machine's manufacturer suggestions for adding the ingredients, kneading time, etc.) Includes recipes for delicious bread spreads too. Spiral-bound. Wipe-clean cover.
Used this for a short time when I had a bread machine. I decided I really prefer making bread by hand, but I thought the recipes in this book were pretty good. They were certainly better than recipes from any other source I found. Gave it away with the bread machine.
This is at the top of my list (along with Bread Machine Magic) as my favorite bread machine cookbook. The breads turn out just the way the book describes them and its simple directions are very easy to follow. There are quantities for both 1 lb and 1-1/2 lb loaves for every recipe. The photos are beautiful.
Favorite recipes include: Garlic (wonderful texture), Easy French (very tasty and very easy), Outrageously Oatmeal (easy), Sun Nut (nice chewy texture).
