A feel-good story about the magic of Christmas... and the rush of falling in love under the mistletoe.
Single mother Abbey Fuller loves her family more than anything, and she doesn't regret for a moment having had to put her dreams of being an interior designer on hold. But with her son, Max, growing up, she jumps at the chance when a friend recommends her for a small

My Review:

This was a sweet and thoughtful read and one of those rare books that I could thoroughly appreciate yet was chaste enough that I could recommend to my elderly mother’s book club. Due to the vast disparity in our reading interests, those books seem to be as common as mega lottery wins. I enjoyed every aspect of this book; the

On a beautiful cover of this beautiful book, it is written "A feel good Christmas romance".
Let me tell you, they didn't lie!
I felt really, really good while reading this novel.
I played myself soft Christmas music in the background and it was the best experience.

BAH! HUMBUG!

Have to do a Scrooge on this book as well, I am afraid. :(

I like make-you-feel-good xmas romances and of course I am aware that suspending disbelief is a Must for most of them. Still, I just could not repress my inner-Ebenezer while struggling to finish this story. First it was just mild eye-rolling & and sighing and muttering "yeah, sure", but it got worse along the way.

It's a rather lame cinderella-story about a lonley, friendless millionaire (no kidding & why don't you

Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses is one of those books you pick up, read, and forget as soon as you start something else. I don't mean that disrespectfully, but I just cannot find anything about the story that stood out as particularly new or different.

Not a huge issue if the writing and characterizations are sound and engaging. But the rich, reclusive guy and the single mother struggling in all areas of her life trope needs to be done well to pull me in and

Jenny Hale’s CHRISTMAS WISHES AND MISTLETOE KISSES is like a shining star at the top of the Christmas reading tree! One woman, rich in everything but money meets one man with far too much money and not enough love in his life and the magic begins!

Like a plain house can be transformed into a Christmas wonderland, this story transforms one lonely man into one who finally finds a reason for happiness in life. Abbey has been hired to decorate a mansion that is as barren as the soul of the man who

I really enjoyed reading this wonderful Christmas story. Very easy to read but hard to put down. Recommended.

I feel like I just read a Hallmark Movie instead of watching it. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing at the moment.

Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses is about Abbey and Nick. Abbey, who is a nurse, is your basic single mother who just loves to decorate in her free time. Oh, and she's really good at it. So one find day she gets an offer to decorate this guys house. She accepts and finds out he's a millionaire and owns a super fancy schmancy mansion. OH, and she falls in love him too.

This was my first Christmas/Holiday read of the season and there couldn't have been a better choice!

For those that have been devouring Hallmark Christmas movies like candy (like me), this is the perfect read. It's a warmhearted, cozy, Christmas story in novel form. I could even see this novel being adapted into a film one day and I can definitely tell you, I'd be watching!

As cute and cozy as the story and setting is, the plot is not all sunshine and daisies which I think adds to the story as a

Two years ago I had the pleasure to read Ms Hale's debut, 'Coming Home for Christmas', which is still among my favourite Christmas books. It was kind of 'love at first sight' and enough to make me a huge Jenny Hale fan. 'Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses' is the fifth novel by Ms Hale, and third she's devoting to Christmas. I've read most of them and after reading her latest I can say that

Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses tells the story of single mother Abbey, who is a nurse, but because she loves decorating and she's really good at it, she accepts the massive task of decorating a millionaire's mansion in time for Christmas---and ends up falling for the guy.

Here's the thing, there's nothing I hated about this book, but there's nothing I loved about it either, so when I finished it I was just left with this sense of "eh".

My main problem were the characters, Abbey is way too

I love the idea of you but to be very honest this book doesn't need to be so long. It was a very slow burn novel to the point that there really wasn't much happening between the two characters. The book majorly focused on the female protagonist POV which left me craving to know what on earth our hero was thinking 99% of the time. His hot-cold mannerism got really boring really fast because what do you want? Do you want her or do you not? SPEAK FOR CHRIST SAKE. It's a slow

Abbey works as a nurse, but her dream is to work as an interior designer. She is very loving and caring about the people around her, she wants the best for her son and her father, who is sick. Abbey gets a chance to get closer to her dream, when she is going to decorate Nick Sinclair's mansion. That chance can be a good kick to her career as she can add the photos of her work to a portfolio, and the money is also very well needed. Nick is a workaholic and doesn't seem to see further from the ...more

This was such a perfect holiday read, I'm so happy I had a chance to read it! I loved Abbey's character, and I loved how you got to hear her past which helped you understand her behavior! This had a slow building romance that made you want to keep reading to find out how it played out!! The characters were so charming, and made this story feel so real. This book also had some real life hardships which brought some depth to it! Hales writing is so easy and flowing! I loved the family aspects, ...more

What a huge disappointment!!!

Seriously, this book had so many great reviews, a lovely cover and the subtitle even says "a feel good Christmas _romance_ novel" ... soooooo, I am wondering: Did I read another book maybe? Because I haven't got anything mentioned above. Well, except the cover maybe. Which I still think is great. The rest? Not so much!

First, I didn't find the romance in that book. There was not one scene where I felt like sparks were flying or the chemistry was there. Or something

You know when you finish a book and then you're left speechless?! Not because it was terrible but because it was phenomenal and gave you all the feels that you find it difficult to explain it in a review.. that's what happened with this book. This is by far the best Christmas book I have ever read. Ive already been thinking of ways to display it on my bookshelf since it needs to stand out cause I already know that I will be rereading this every December. A MUST READ!

A rich and aloof businessman needs a beautiful, yet practically empty mansion decorated.

A young single mother, just starting a business, gets the chance of a lifetime.

A cliche? Maybe, but it has one thing that breaks the traditional mold of this genre. HEART. A well thought out thread of love and kindness is woven into Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses making it an absolute standout. The underlying current of sincerity will make this one of the most heartwarming reads of the holiday season.

There's just something about this time of year that makes me want to read all the feel-good Christmas books. Guys, this was like reading a Hallmark Christmas movie and I hope one day it gets adapted into one. It follows a single mother who is a nurse for a very wealthy man's grandmother with dreams of being an interior designer. When he needs his cold, and pretty much empty house decorated for Christmas his grandmother offers her nurse up for the job and he hires her. You can see where this is ...more

Jenny always creates lovely believable characters and leaves you with such rich imagery. I could imagine the Christmassy scenes and the splendour of the mansion. You feel as though you could turn up and know exactly where to make the cuppa and curl up for a chat with old friends.

Abbey Fuller is a hardworking single mother who has devoted her life to taking care of her family. Abbey's son Max is her whole world. She wants nothing but the best for him. Working as a private nurse for Caroline Sinclair doesn't provide much financially, so when a design job is offered to her, she can't pass up the extra money this will bring during Christmas time.

Nick Sinclair is Caroline's very wealthy grandson. His mansion feels more like a cold barren building than a warm, welcoming home.

First of all, I’d just like to say that the cover is absolutely gorgeous, so festive and warm and then the title: perfect for a Christmas book.

Jenny Hale is a wonderful author and I’m always very excited to read her books, she just knows how to write a gripping, magical and unique story.

The story follows single mother Abbey Fuller. Family is very important to her and her son Max is just adorable, I loved him. Abbey

I did find this a little slow to begin with and wondered how my interest would be kept until the end, but as soon as the characters started to open up a little and feel more comfortable with each other I felt the story really kicked in and then i was completely hooked!

CHRISTMAS WISHES AND MISTLETOE KISSES BY JENNY HALE BOOK REVIEW

Well this story is promoted as a 'feel good festive treat' and it certainly is - I loved it!

Abbey is a single Mum, working as a home nurse, but originally had dreams of being an interior designer. The lady she is currently caring for, Caroline Sinclair, encouraged Abbey to decorate her cottage and has now suggested she does a similar job for her grandson, Nicholas Sinclair. The main difference is, he doesn't own a cottage, he has an 'enormous, Georgian-revival style mansion' instead! The payment

This was okay...not the greatest kick-off to the cheesy Christmas book season but not a horrible one.

The book started off promising but it devolved into a lot of Abbey feeling uncomfortable with Nick spending money around her, nagging at him constantly when he worked too much (which, yes, he did, but she started in on it WAY too quickly for someone who is supposed to be an employee. If this were real life, he'd probably be turned off by her admonishing him constantly and getting pissy when he

Abbey is a single mother and a nurse. She is hired by her clients grandson to decorate his house for the holidays. Abbey has always wanted to be an interior designer but she put her dreams on hold to take care of her son. I really loved Abbey because she had such a good heart. She often put others before her own needs and was very selfless.

Nick is a workaholic who has kind of lost sight of things. He’s all work and no play. I loved throughout the book the layers are peeled back and we got to see

This is the third book I've read by Jenny Hale, all taking place during the Christmas season. I've said it about the others and the same applies here: a lot of the behavior and interactions between the lead protagonists are just so ridiculous and would never actually happen in a working relationship. In this particular book, the constant reference to how extravagant Nick's lifestyle is in comparison to Abbey's got somewhat annoying after awhile, as did the constant "Nick is totally focused on ...more

This is a great Christmas Story that even though it's a little predictable it's a wonderful read. I enjoy Jenny Hale's books. The one's that I've read have been set in Richmond, Va which is a perfect location. Abby a nurse and want to be decorator, goes to work for Nick caring for his Grandmother As Grandma Caroline manipulates the two of them into spending more time together it's getting closer and closer to Christmas. Enjoy this delightful funny wholesome story.

I have not read anything by Jenny Hale in the past, however I am a sucker for Christmas stories, so reading this book was a no brainer.

Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses is a sweet and tender story, and I adored Abbey and Nick.

Abbey dreams of being an interior designer, whilst working as a nurse. She never gives up on those dreams, and when she gets the chance to decorate a mansion, well, who is she to say no?

Nick owns said mansion,

When I graduated college, one of my friends said, “Look out for this one; she’s going to be an author one day.” Despite being an avid reader and a natural storyteller, it wasn’t until that very moment that the idea of writing novels occurred to me.

Sometimes our friends can see the things that we can’t.

While I didn’t start straight away, that comment sowed a seed and several years, two children,
