Bad blood. Ancient gods. Alien tech.
It's a crappy day to be human.

The Facility is a bio-engineering and robotics complex that's been called Area 51 on steroids.
It's a place where not all employees are human, and company secrets run deeper than the multitude of underground levels.
Blake Beckworth is a certified genius, a very absent big sister, and the Facility's head bio-

Metal Angels offers a unique blend of ancient myths and futuristic technology that's utterly fascinating. Told through the eyes of four characters -- all vastly different from each other and all facing inner demons which will challenge them in the divine war about to play out -- one gets the sense that this first part of the story will build to a climax nothing short of epic in later installments, and this reader is more than ready for the ride to come. I loved the richness of setting -- unfamil ...more

Not Quite Alive

The potential for this story line is pretty good so that I hope the author will dig deep for her characters makeup. She has done great on the start of Blake and Kira seriously can't what to see what she has in store for Azareal.

Not a lover of serial books but this one has me intrigued so I will wait to see what is going to happen next.

This book is a real test of wills; will the humans 0r alien visitors win? Depends upon the time and place. Fast action, some gritty language, but interesting plotline. Meet our metal angel, Kira, bionic arm and heart. Her older sister works in a secret lab with bionics that is also a sanctuary for an alien species with rituals to a water altar. Enter back story ;Kira survived a car wreck which killed her dad and thus she was gifted with bionic parts her sister installed. Add the ongoing hatred o ...more

When I first started this book I was very confused. It seemed like I missed a previous book in this series. However, this is Metal Angels-Part One. In saying that, this turned out to be a good book. After getting through the first couple chapters, I was able to catch on and really able to get into reading it. There are four main characters with pov's in this book and I found it pretty easy to follow them. The Syranian's are an alien race hidden from most of humanity by living in a desert compoun ...more

Futuristic Religious Aliens hiding on Earth in the Facility.

I didn't reach the point of "can't set it down" but the storyline is intriguing enough to keep reading and still allowing me some much needed sleep at night. Part One sets the groundwork and gives you some good insight into each of the four main characters.

Kira is a hot mess and likes it that way, she has alien tech for an arm after a car accident.
Blake prefers to have every thing in her life beyond figured out. She is a brilliant te

3.5 Stars - I enjoyed it, I read it in favor of doing other things, but it didn't leave a major impact on me afterwards.

It's important to know going in that this is part of a serialized story, because it doesn't end with any sort of conclusion.

This was a fun book to read, putting the focus on a number of people who are coping with trauma in different ways. The two sisters at the heart of the story are both fascinating, and their choices are self-destructive without feeling frustrating to me as

This is an awesome read. I immediately connected with sisters Kira and Blake, totally fascinated by their complicated relationship, which has been fractured by tragedy. I also loved the world building, entering the Facility to discover bio-engineering experts, robotics, aliens, gods and angels. It's a fascinating and addictive read. And it's been a long time since I've read a book that I didn't want to put down. Looking forward to part two! ...more

This book was a pretty good read. The characters were well thought out and the world building was okay. It read a bit slow for me, but this isn't my normal genre. I would definitely give this book a chance, especially if you like this type of sci-fi. ...more

This was a good read. The characters were not the usual themes while the plot was filled with twists to keep you entertained.

Ugh. 20 pages. All I could muster. The writing was cheesy. The characters were worse. And opening a novel with a cyborg sex scene is the best way to dismiss my interest in reading further.
