A wickedly funny new series for ages six and up from the creator of Where Bear?, Pass It On and the Pom Pom series, with colour illustrations throughout.

Jeanies Grandma is BAD. Not bad like a vampire or a gangster or anything, more like . . . up to no good. Sometimes she can be a bit embarrassing but most of the time shes REALLY fun, especially when she gets Jeanie

Received a copy from the publisher, after meeting Sophy Henn and I could tell this book was going to be good fun. Had me chuckling to myself as bad nana gets up to all sorts of mischief. A very easy read with the most beautiful illustrations. Cant wait to share this with my niece when she is a little older! ...more

My skin is clear, my crops are thriving! What a delightful little book for young and young inside readers! The illustrations and colour scheme are to die for, Bad Nana is hilarious and I felt a true kinship with her. Wickedly smart old lady who cannot stop before an injustice (normally caused by a stuffy old white man of authority or a privileged snotty girl!) Evem though she's no saint!

Favorite bit, and definitely something I'll do in 20 years or so.....poor old bill.....dead so soon.....and I
I received this as a free ebook from Netgalley. This does not affect my review.

Bad Nana is super (I think I have a new role model!). Bold, fun drawings illustrate the mischievous adventures of cheeky Nana and sweet Jeanie and their extended family. The relationship between Jeanie and Nana is just lovely, absolutely joyful. This book is absolutely perfect for confident readers looking for their first step into longer books, or as a class or bedtime read for Y2. I will definitely be buying it for

Jeanie is seven years old, with a large extended family including her mum, dad, younger brother, three nana's including Bad Nana and her aunts, uncles and cousins too.

Her Nana isn't bad in the traditional sense like stealing or other crime committing, though she does love the stories that come with them from others like in the news. She is an eccentric character who loves dressing in all black and glitzy earrings and has a fond addictive love of sherbet lemon sweets.

Here's the thing: writing wise, I really liked this. It was clever and sharp and silly (Jeanie describes her brother as a "whiny noise named Jack"), and the characters had fun quirks and characteristics. BUT. The font keeps switching on certain words and the size would grow or shrink on other words, and the constant change began to give me a headache.

By page 36, I truly wanted to give up. I kept going for another few pages, buoyed by the fun writing, but then I decided that I couldn't keep

Another of the Lollies Funny Book Short List Books and one I was instantly interested in reading due to the vibrant colours and the style of the illustrations. The story follows Jeanie and her 'Bad Nana', an old lady whose primary aim seems to be to cause general mischief and mayhem, but always for a good reason. The story is quirky, humorous and warm, enhanced by colourful illustrations and creative layout. Sure to be a hit with any readers aged 7+, especially those who may be intimidated by a ...more

Such a wholesome little children's story! The characters are loveable,Bad Nana is a true and proper legend,I have no words to properly describe just how fabulous she is.The narrator is also absolutely adorable and the pair of her and Bad Nana is terrific. This made me giggle out loud at times and was just a joy.
The artwork was absolutely stunning and the use of colour blew me out of the park.

Easy reading and a stunning presentation - Jeanie is a brilliant narrator and has you chuckling along as she tells you all about her 'Bad Nana' - who in turn will have you hoping you're like her when you grow old! Fighting for those that can't stick up for themselves, whilst being cheeky and having a lot of fun along the way she gives you a good laugh and the odd smirk...

This was a fun, heavily-illustrated primary book. It was VERY British and reminded me a lot of the Charlie and Lola books. I thought it was cute and amusing, and very likely appealing to its age group.

This is a very cute story about a seemingly Bad Nana who has a heart of gold. I wouldn't mind being her when I grow up.

MUST READ! This book made me laugh out loud and I don't say that very often. Between the illustration and writing this book is spot on.

Very amusing. Lots of British expressions which kids will need help with but wonderfully hilarious.
Jeanie has three nanas: Shirley, Granny Rose and Bad Nana. All sorts of interesting and naughty things happen when Jeanie is with Bad Nana. But surely Bad Nana cant cause mischief at the park or museum or can she?

The story is split into three sections
The first section introduces Jeanie, her family and Bad Nana. The second section is a short story at the park, while the third section is a short story at the museum. Although the stories follow on from each other, there is no coherent plot across
