The Army is in Noah’s past… and he hopes his dark secret stays buried there. Noah Wilding’s family is being targeted by an anti-shifter hate group—so he took medical leave from the Army to return home and help out. At least, that’s the story he’s told everyone… meanwhile, he’s going undercover to lure out the haters trying to kill the Wilding pack.

Emily Jones is the lead programmer for WildLove, the new app that hooks up shifters and humans for a night of hot sex and no commitments. Only she hasn’t had a date herself in years… ever since that dark day when her family didn’t protect her when she needed them most. She figures one magical night with a hot wolf will help her finally move on with her life.

When Noah swipes right for Emily, she thinks her dream one-night-stand is about to come true. But with a hate group planting car bombs during WildLove hookups, Noah and Emily are on the front lines of love. They have to hunt down a killer before he strikes again… and before they do more than heat up the sheets. Because humans and shifters might get “Wild for a Night”… but they’re not supposed to fall in love.

WILD LOVE is a complete novel with HEA, the second in the Wilding Pack Wolves series. All stories are standalone, but for maximum reader enjoyment, they’re best read in order. Contains scorching hot shifters, alpha military heroes, and sexy female programmers.

ARC received from author

Another great book in this series. Plenty of action and adventure and hot shifter sex thrown in. Now it's Noah's turn to find mate and true love, but the Wolf Hunter has other plans and keeps trying to blow them up. Emily just wanted one night of shifter loving. Little did she know that she was going to get a whole lot more.

A great plot, interesting characters and a suspenseful mystery with danger dogging the heels of the heroine and hero is what is in store for readers of Wild Love.

This is the first book I’ve ever read by this author and it won’t be the last. I definitely am looking forward to reading the first book based on how much I enjoyed this one. This is easily a standalone because I didn’t feel lost at all by not reading Wild Love first. What it did do was whet my appetite to read Owen’s story, and the next one, Wild Heat. Inspiring future purchases is a mark of a good first impression.

I enjoy shifter romances and I’m always on the lookout for another one to grab my attention and interest. Yes, the plot of a hate group targeting the paranormal group du jour has been done before and it’s an effective conflict. I like what Ms. Woods did with it and how the hero and heroine try to work together to find out who the mastermind is, who the next target would likely be and how the information is being leaked. All great mysteries that need to be solved before the next shifter is targeted.

The chemistry between Noah and Emily flares to life at their first meeting but is allowed to turn into a slow burn for a good chunk of the story before passion exploded between them. I liked the intense yet low key, descriptive wise, of their love scenes. Their relationship moved forward from there and I liked the momentum.

Noah’s internal plot conflict stemming from the color of his wolf and what it means, works for the most part. I can’t put my finger on what it is that made me feel less than satisfied on how he dealt with it, emotionally or otherwise, but it wasn’t enough to dim my enjoyment of the book overall. The writing was really good and the exciting parts truly gripped me and kept me on the edge of my seat. So many close calls!!

Wild Love has a wonderful happy ever after ending. I was so very pleased for Emily, you have no idea. Until you read the book yourself, of course. You can’t imagine how trilled I was for both of them. It’s how it ended that had me buying the first book in the series before I even sat down to write this review. If the HEA is as complete like it is in this story, and it turns out that is the way Ms. Woods writes, then I expect to have another great read coming up.

After the enthralling paranormal River Pack Wolves saga (Jaxson, Jace and Jared) concluded, I thought I’d not be reading about them again but I’m so happy their stories are continuing as secondary characters in the Wilding Pack Wolves series! The first book in this series was ‘Wild Game’ another 5* novel for me that I thoroughly enjoyed and this new novel continues with the excellent, developing problems following the unasked for ‘outing’ of wolf shifters, including some of their names, addresses and businesses by vigilante anti-shifter hate groups determined to destroy them.

As someone seems to be targeting shifters using the WildLove app, Noah Wilding uses the app to set up a date whilst others watch in the hope of finding just who is planting the bombs. He certainly didn’t expect to fall for his shy date, Emily Jones, who turns out to be the lead programmer for the app. She has her own secrets and reasons for trying to hook up with a shifter but the attraction is there between the two but she can’t be his mate - can she? With ruthless killers out to get shifters, Emily and Noah team up to catch them but can they keep themselves safe and capture the vigilantes? What other secrets are awaiting being revealed? You’ll just have to read it yourself to find out!

This is another riveting read that I finished in one sitting, a real page turner. To give you some idea about how much I enjoy this series, I received an ARC of this book from the author today and started reading it as soon as I’d finished the book I had been reading - even though I’ve quite a lot of others already on my to be read pile - this couldn’t wait! The author has created a brilliant, well defined and complex group of characters who interact through the different series and I’m enjoying learning more about all of them. I continue to be impressed how the romances develop alongside the thread running through each saga in the developing mystery and threats. I’d love to meet Mama River, she’s so caring and considerate - I know it’s doubtful but please can she have a romance of her own some day? I also appreciate how the author properly concludes each story before leaving the reader with a hook into the next book in the series . . . I really want to know what happens next!

Many thanks to the author for providing me with an ARC of this book to read in exchange for this, my honest review.

Wild Love (Wilding Pack Wolves #2) by Alisa Woods Alisa Woods created yet another astounding shapeshifter novel with Wild Love.  Noah Wilding took a medical leave from Army returning from Afghanistan.  He took a job at Riverwise security firm.  While on a case that is targeting shifters, he meets human Emily Jones, the lead programmer for WildLove, the company that hired Riverwise.  They work together to track down the killer.  This contemporary PNR that takes place in Seattle and is suitable for new adult audiences.

Alisa Woods developed another original plot.  I loved this fast paced thrilling story.  It had numerous interesting twists.  The plot was convincing and well-constructed.  The characters are great.  I love that we see a lot of the individuals from the River Pack Series and from Wild Game.  I loved hearing Noah’s story.  I felt bad for want he had gone through after being abducted in Jace, book two of the River Pack Wolves.  He is hard on himself, and I’m glad he meets Emily, who is very open minded.  I love Emily’s attitude about wolf shifters.  She is a sweet person that had an awful experience in her youth.  The two help heal each other and are perfect for one another. I love the ending of the story.

While Wild Love could easily be followed as a standalone, I would read the River Pack Wolves Series first, followed by Wild Game (book one of the Wilding Pack Wolves Series) prior to reading this story.  I think you would enjoy this novel more because you would feel invested in the other characters.

Second in the Wilding Pack Wolves series and revolving around Nova Wilding and Owen Harding.

My Take
It's a typical theme in paranormal stories. Humans hating the shifters, deciding that shifters are the reason why they can't get a job. Ignoring the fact that they may not be qualified for the job or they're lazy slobs without references. Any excuse to explain why they're losers.

I really hate hate groups. I know, hypocritical. What those haters are is insecure scaredy cats, afraid of anyone different from them.

Woods is using third person dual protagonist point-of-view from Nova's and Owen's perspectives, so we hear all about Owen's issues and doubts as well as Nova's frustrations and confusions . . . and her interactions with the obnoxious Brad. It's this that ramps up the tension in Wild Game.

It is a meme I hate (ooh, what is with all the hate??), that of the primary characters misinterpreting the actions of another. Oy. Woods isn't as bad as some in this, but still . . .

I'm conflicted over Nova's strict adherence to her father's dreams and kind of agree with Brad about growing the company. But then he's so damned pushy! I suspect I'd want anything that opposes what Brad wants.

The story is character-driven with their personalities driving the action in an easy-to-read prose.

It ends with a cliffhanger that leaves me undecided about continuing on with Wild Love or skipping it.

The Story
Domination: AfterPulse is the potential futuristic combat game that's expected to zoom to the top. But its deadline is looming . . . just as the need for Nova to pick a mate is hanging over her head. It's practically a given that she'll have to choose someone from the pack.

But it wouldn't be about love . . .

The Characters
Nova Wilding, "NovaCaine" is her gaming handle, is the new CEO and lead game developer of Wylderide Gaming who truly respects service personnel.

Wylderide Gaming just . . .
. . . lost its CEO and Nova's father, Arthur Wilding, murdered by a hate group and the Alpha for the Wilding Pack. Brad Hoffman is Nova's beta, a fantastic game designer, and the resident jerk eager to claim Nova as a mate. Scott is another employee.

Tommy Rachet applied for a job doing textures.

The Wilding Pack had . . .
. . . been a large sprawling pack back in Nova's grandfather's day. Gary had been Alpha and his brother, Bobby, his beta. Gary had five pups: Arthur, Astor, Donnie, Frank, and Billy. But then it all fell apart.

Terra, an urban photographer, is Donnie's daughter. Trent and Cassie are her siblings.

Owen Harding is ex-army from Texas. He's also a werewolf who has been experimented on and who is terrified he'll shift into a monster.

Riverwise Private Security is . . .
. . . owned by Jace, Jaxon (is the pack Alpha), and Jared, River pack brothers. Their home base is a mountain ranch run by Mama River. Piper is Jace's mate. Grace Krepky, Jared's mate, is a white wolf currently campaigning to be the first openly sifter member of Congress. Murphy, Simpson, and Noah Wilding are some of their agents.

The Wolf Hunter has been publicizing the names of shifters, kidnapping them, and dissecting them.

Colonel Astor Wilding was straight-up evil with no morals and was in cahoots with Agent Smith who was doing horrific genetic experiments. Astor's sons were Noah and Daniel; Piper was his daughter. Daniel was instrumental in taking his father down.

The Cover and Title
The cover is filled with Owen's naked, nicely muscled chest, which is broken up by the khaki duffle bag he's carrying over his right shoulder. You can almost see the khaki pants he's wearing. The upper background has an oversized American flag waving while the lower half is a wooden plank floor. The title uses two fonts with white for the first word and red for the second. Between the two-word title is the series information in white. The author's name is at the bottom and in white.

The title plays off the Wilding pack, Owen's intentions, and Nova's focus — Wild Game.

Ex-Army man Noah Wilding comes back home on medical leave because his family is being targeted by an anti-shifter hate group and he wants to help where he can. So he goes undercover to try and lure out the haters. Emily Jones is the lead programmer for an app that hooks up shifters and humans called WildLove for a night of hot sex and no commitments. She hasn't had a date for years since a day when her family failed to protect her. So she thinks one night with a shifter will help her to move on with her life. When Noah swipes right for Emily she thinks that her dream one-night stand is about to happen but with the kate group planting car bombs during WildLove hookups they are both on the front lines. They have to hunt down a killer before he strikes again… and before they do more than heat up the sheets. Because humans and shifters might get “Wild for a Night”… but they’re not supposed to fall in love.

I really loved this story which was a romantic rollercoaster in many ways but it all worked in the one direction and that was the right direction for them both. I loved the way that they worked together and the way that they both made sure that the other was respected at all times. Noah was such a sweetie I could've almost fallen for him too. Well written and easy to read and understand. Contains some explicit sexual content and a sweet HEA that was definitely deserved by them both.

A bit of mystery, intrigue with a touch of magic and inner strength!

Noah is former Army is now back stateside having been discharged from the Army for medical reasons. Prior to this he had been captured by his father, who was a Colonial in the Army and in charge of experiments done on shifters. They were trying to create a super soldier\shifter with faster healing and power. While trying to come to terms with what he has become which link him directly back to the family shame.

He is now working for River Pack Security. Helping to hunt down the Wolf Hunter while trying to protect innocent shifters from becoming the next victim. They are conducting sting operations to trap and catch the Wolf Hunter when the head developer of the WildLove app, Emily Jones decides to try the app herself. Trying desperately to get over her past with the hope that a night of steaming hot sex will help her move forward.

I love the ending and how they come together. I love the characters and can't wait to read the rest of the series. Really good read, once you start you won't want to stop so plan ahead!!!

Happy Reading!

so-so

3.5, rounded to 4. Parts of this book felt a bit juvenile or rushed, while others were pretty well written. Author sometimes felt like they were trying to out in too much without adequately developing it all. There is some trigger warning for rape, but it is only referenced in history (without details) and threatened but stopped before it occurred. Some decent steamy scenes. Story is of a young (21) human programmer that has a fascination with wolf shifters secretly slipping herself in the algorithm for a human-shifter hookup app so she can get some safe experience to overcome sexual trauma (don't find out that part until bit later). She "matches" with a young shifter who is part of a team trying to catch the perpetrators somehow using the app to bomb shifters. There initial time gets foiled, but that just means the wolf has found a girl he finds fascinating and she volunteers to try to help digitally catch who is hacking into the app to sabotage shifters. Interesting premise, but the relationship didn't fully hit for me.

This is the story of Noah and Emily.
Noah was in the Army and experiment on by his own father the Colonel.
Emily is the lead programmer of Wildlove, a shifter dating app.
When the wolf hunter starts targeting shifters using the dating app Noah goes undercover as an app user to try to catch the bad guy
This book has a lot of action and an unexpected surprise at the end.
Unfortunately I think I read this years ago prior to tracking my reading with Goodreads, so I had an idea of what would happen and it made it less suspenseful for me so I only gave it 3 stars. I think I would have given it 4 stars on the 1st read!

,Another Great Woods' Novel

I've read all of the River and Wilding novels and I've really enjoyed them all. Ms Woods creates characters who have depth and encourages us to care about each one. Samuel Coleridge said what was necessary to truely enjoy literature was for the reader to have ""a willing suspension of disbelief", this is a very important quality to be able to really enjoy this genre. The author draws us in and we can get lost in the story. It lets us take a relaxing break in a hectic day. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.

What a dream

I guess I am kind of like emily. Her dream of being with a shifter because they are loyal and treat there women right.
She is a programmer for humans to date shifters but the hate group is still going..bombing dating shifters on their human date.
Noah Wilding and the rivers pack set up a sting but Emily throws herself in the date without knowing it is a trap. A lot of secrets, mystery and magic. Love this series. There is steamy sex scenes but also a story...enjoy. I know I am

Online dating Seattle style

Noel is just discharged from the service and is working to catch who ever is killing the werewolves who are hooking up with females through the dating service. Emily is the head programmer for the dating service. She has decided to give it a try even though if caught she could be fired. Noel and Emily are put together to see if they can help catch the killer. Well-written with well-developed characterization makes this a great adult read due to sexual and violent content.

Emily works for wildlove a website to hook up shifter and humans. Sadly some one is hacking into the site and killing off shifters. Emily had a bad experience with sex and knowing that shifters love deeply, she thinks Noah can change her sex experience. Noah is a whit wolf shifter. So when he meets Emily he falls for her. Since he is a shifter he doesn't know if it will last with a human. So when the couple meet and they find one of the many hackers. Noah and Emily have to work together. Can these two work together? Can something more come out of this??? Need to read great series.

While this was enjoyable, it had insta-love and one night stands which are two of my least favorite tropes. WildLove, the new app that pairs shifters with humans for a hookup is a clever idea but just not my cup of tea. The hate group and their antics was well done and kept me turning pages to see when and how Noah and Emily were going to catch them.

I have not read the first book in the series but I think I will give it a try and possibly read the River Pack Wolves series as well because Jaxson, Jared and Jace peaked my interest.

Great Story Telling

Emily and Noah have a rocky start based on a little dishonesty by both of them. That meeting sets of a set of adventures as they join forces to defeat a bomber and explore their future. Great character development through dialogue and internal narratives. The world view is consistent with the previous book and gets more complex as the story unwinds. A happy ending with the promise of more troubles ahead with the Wolf Hunter.

Wow, loved this book, Noah the wolf & Emily the human have such a real love -so sweet! Then talk about surprise HEA for them, well not wanting to spoil the surprise for readers, but it's fabulous! I so did not see that coming! This flowed fast & smooth, I couldn't put it down, Noah & Emily are my favorites of the Wilding pack series (or of all the Wilding's) so far. They equally have traumatizing pasts to get over, but are so perfect for each other too.

Very happy reader!

Well written story, love that each focus couple gets their own HEA story, yet each book leads us into the next with the big mystery that flows thru each book! Really makes it easy to binge one after another to get that solved! This author has built a wonderfully descriptive world that we get to peak into she tells an amazing story! Love the audio option!

Noah Wilding left the army to help his family, who have been targeted by an anti-shifter group. He finds himself working with Emily Jones, a human who works on an app for hooking up shifters and humans.

I enjoyed this book. Emily was sweet and I liked Noah. I could feel the connection between them, and there was plenty of steam as well as lots of plot. This was a good read.

I enjoyed reading this supernatural shifter story. It was steamy in places but had a good storyline overall. It can be read a standalone even though it is part of a series

I like Emily, she is smart but a little bit shy. Noah literally brings the wolf out in her. Can they work together to find out who is hurting shifters? A enjoyable read and I can’t wait to read more.

Well written and hard to put down.

I enjoyed reading this smart, well written and fun story. Emily's character is nerdy, sweet, and delightful. Noah's character is a handsome hunk with tender feelings. He's loyal and loving. Together their chemistry glows creating a wonderful story. A must read for those intrigued by paranormal wolves.

Nice read

Heroine is a computer programmer that is fascinated with wolves. Hate groups have forced shifters to go online to hook up and now someone is bombing the hookups. The threat is not very intense but the story is relationship focused.

Another great story by Alisa Woods! She certainly can write a mean shifter novel. This was the second in the Wilding Pack Wolves series with Nova's cousin, Noah, and computer guru, Emily. Hot sparks between the two of them from the get-go.

I'm enjoying this series. Emily and Noah are a great couple, and I enjoyed reading about Noah's experiences as a white wolf and learning more about the shifter world. Emily is also one of the bravest heroines I've come across in a long time. Alisa's characters are just a pleasure to read.

What do you do when a crazy man is hacking the system to kill shifters? You find a way to track him. But Emily didn't count on falling hard and fast for Noah. Noah didn't count on falling at all. Especially with his secret still hanging over him
