“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.”
- Walt Disney

Author and life coach Scott Allan lives in Japan where he works as an English language educator. He also writes book write books that focus on changing old routines, behaviors and overcoming all levels of self-defeating behavior, and building self-discipline. To date he has written eight books – REJECTION FREE, REJECTION RESET, EMPOWER YOUR THOUGHTS, EMPOWEER YOUR FEAR, PATHWAYS TO MASTERY, EMPOWER YOUR LIFE, DO IT SCARED, RELAUNCH YOUR LIFE, and now DRIVE YOUR DESTINY.

And in this very impressive guide, Scott states ‘Staying fixed on your dream is not easy. We struggle with life’s distractions and circumstances beyond our control on a daily basis. But what I learned is that we don’t have to concern ourselves with the events that don’t concern us. We can focus on our own path and choose to ignore the noise in the world. You can have the life you want if you are willing to commit and work for it. Building a life that once seemed impossible is the greatest challenge we can take. It is also the most rewarding. But on the other side of all the hard work and late nights is everything you’ve ever wanted. The secret formula: Believing you can succeed. Deciding to do so. Committing to your plan no matter what. Formulating a vision for your life. Sticking to the right habits to achieve your objectives. Staying healthy. Watching your money. Setting goals and working toward them. I wrote this book to inspire, encourage, motivate—and most of all—to drive you to take action. I urge you to find that inner greatness, that internal fire, even if the world has tried to convince you it went out years ago.’

Scott’s coaching begins with an introduction that challenges us to examine our need to explore our destiny – and he divides his instruction and coaching into the categories Create a Vision for your Life, Goals – Blueprints for Building Success, Building better Habits, Destiny of Wealth, and The Pinnacle of Health. ‘Your life is shaped by choice—not by circumstances or by the constantly changing events around us. We can choose whether or not to believe, whether or not to act, or whether or not to live a freedom-rich lifestyle. We can choose our actions, and the actions we take define our character. You are not defined by circumstances. But as I discussed in this book, you can create the circumstances you want. If you’re not happy, it’s your mission to change that. Do you want more love, more money, and more freedom? All of this is attainable, but it’s not easy to get if you don’t believe in your ability to achieve. You want more freedom? You have to take the right actions to attain it. This book is about forging choices, taking action, and best of all, making a difference. Nothing can be more rewarding than believing in yourself and creating powerful alliances with those who support you, whom you can support in return. Destiny is not a one-person mission. It is collaboration as we work together to make this world a better place. You can have what you want, if you really want it. Then, you can get more of it by helping others get what they want. As motivational entrepreneur Zig Ziglar once said, “You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want.”

‘Be the author of your own life.’ Sage advice from a fine coach and caring teacher. We come away feeling that relaunching our lives is not only possible: it is mandatory for dealing with the new challenges ahead. Highly recommended

I bought "Drive Your Destiny" this morning at 7:45. Three hours later - and captivating hours they were - I put the finished book down. There are so many self help books on the market and they can get boring, but Scott Allan's book pushed me through the pages like a friend pushing me on a swing. There were many delightful quotes of wisdom and encouragement throughout the book, which began with Scott's story of his personal journey. This made me think okay, he's just a normal person like me, and he's found a path that works. So I sat up and read further. The chapters read like a story, each one loaded with common sense and wonderful tips, and they were organized in such a way that I can easily go back to find the part I want to read again. And yes, I will read this book again - it's a winner. My favorite chapter was the one on habits. When it said that first we need to know what our habits are, I was floored. Of course! People walk blindly through their lives so much of the time, and it isn't until we become mindful of a pain or discomfort, that we even think to seek healing or a solution for it. Identifying the circumstances of that discomfort or pain is the very first step. I never really thought about making a conscious study of my daily habits in order to see if tweaking one or more of them could help me reach my goal. Scott wrote about his waking habit at 6:30, and choosing to rise an hour earlier so he can write. But rather than set his clock an hour earlier, which might make him hit the snooze button (been there, done that!) he suggests setting it half an hour or even 10 minutes earlier. Changing habits in small steps make it far less painful and maybe, more likely to succeed. Brilliant idea - tomorrow my alarm will go off 15 minutes earlier. Even if it is dark outside, it won't be dark for long, AND I get to have my first cup of tea 15 minutes earlier too! The author includes many valuable links to resources and tips on healthy living, such as eating "power tips" and breathing exercises. These are simple things we all know, yes, but the author gives suggestions in such easy to follow ways, you can incorporate them into your life without stress or spending extra money. I already buy fruit, for example, but I didn't realize that my body metabolizes it better when I have fruit on an empty stomach. And the reminder to deep breathe - as an exercise routine - well, how cheap and easy is that? I LOVE it. I can do it anywhere, anytime! And Scott explains how to breathe to get the most benefit. Chapter after chapter is packed with simple common sense, useful information and perhaps best of all, couched in a friendly, encouraging voice. I could take this book to bed and read a bit before I sleep, then wake up and use it to spark my day with ONE tip or new habit. Starting a day with a simple goal makes the whole day shine, because you start from a winner's point of view. And this book is a winner!

DRIVE YOUR DESTINY gifts the reader with a comprehensive plan or call to action that provides an understanding of why action is needed in our lives. Scott Allan has crafted strategic steps to lead the reader in "Creating a Destiny" based on inner their need.

Allan maintains, you are the "Master of Decision" and he helps the reader comprehend the significance of every moment in life by recognizing every moment as a "Pivotal Moment". He leads us in grasping the concept that in-the-moment decisions—no matter the size—impact the direction our lives take. He wants us to debunk the "myth of instantaneous success" and accept that success comes when we plug in our "Destiny Plan " that this book guides us to visualize and bring to fruition.

I loved his extensive section on habits. He helps the reader examine and understand their habits in order to select those that keep one stuck and he offers ways to install or modify existing habits to gradually propel growth. He breaks down the perpetuated obstacles that our habits construct based on our deep set of beliefs that continue to drive our subconscious decisions and actions.

DRIVE YOUR DESTINY offers several sets of tools:
• 5 components for creating a compelling vision using his building block blueprint to fulfill our dreams
• 9 essential components for how to create goals to build overall balance and health
• 14 possible action steps to forge a system of good habits
• 6 power tips for building wealth

He helps the reader SEE their "Personal Doctrine" that with steadfast energy will yield a destiny that was previously only an imagined hope. I highly recommend this book to every adult because we all need to re-evaluate our lives on a regular basis.

Many books claim they will change your life - this one really delivers!

Wow.
This book really will change your life.

I had been dabbling in the concepts of law of attraction and manifestation for a while so was keen to find more concrete ways of practicing them and guidelines for living the life I really wanted – this book delivered and then some.

It is very easy to read yet cuts right through to the nitty gritty of the things we think and believe that hold us back in a way that had me pausing every few pages in awe that I hadn't realised these things for myself before.

The powerful self realisations were a gift in themselves but the author backs them up with a wealth of simple to achieve practices and habits that I really feel have set me on a new and decisive path to being and achieving all that I want in life.

I can't praise this book enough. Get it yourself and feel the wonderful sense of empowerment that comes from knowing you are in control of your life – and you've totally got this.

If you are just starting your quest to discover your purpose, Scott's advice is a good starting point. He guides you along an integrated path to begin discovering your purpose through a writing process, visualisation techniques and what I would call "thinking things through." It is a excellent spring board to discover and begin planning the adventure called life and the first time I actually worked through all the steps an author suggested. Easily readable and understand! If you are just beginning like I am to find value and meaning, this is a good starting point. Thank you Scott!

Not complicated, easily readable and suggestions are on the money.
I give this book 4 stars as it wasn't long and got to the point.

I couldn't put this book down, it's really that good; I felt as if I was actually engaged in a one-on-one conversation/training session with a personal life coach. This was okay. Some great points laced throughout, the rest is just more "law of attraction" fluff.
