Lana Senate has a secret genetic advantage, giving her advanced sensory awareness, which complicates her relationships and her work as a forensics consultant.
This has a good storyline over all, a strong lead female character and several sub characters that contribute to the story and make it good.
I did not enjoy it a whole lot because it is set up as a television pilot script, it is not a book per say with chapters and overly explained scenes and scenery, it’s a screenplay. I enjoy being able to build the worlds of the books inside my head and imagine how things are, play it out like a movie in my head, when it’s written this way I just get confused by all the other stuff going on that has nothing to do with the storyline. I.e. the side notes and formatting of the writing.
This does sound like it would make a great television series, it has all the necessary things to produce a show with great potential.
I give it 3 stars because the storyline is solid and the characters are very likable! I enjoyed the plot of the main character, Lana, who becomes infected in a way during a near death experience and develops super human senses and is able to help do more good with those developments.
This is the first screenplay that I have had the privilege of reading, and what a way to start. I loved this book and found the characters well rounded and very engaging, I could picture them so clearly. The science was so fascinating and proves that the author knows what she is talking about.
It is obvious that this is a labour of love and I can't wait to be able to watch it come to life on my tv very soon.
This book is a collection of screenplays, forming the basis of a potential TV series.
Here we have a hit TV series, with a Season 1 served up on a silver platter. There's a strong female lead, hard science, and this has been written by a female. Risk takers and trend setters take note.
