I always knew this day would come – that it would be my turn.
Images of my mother fighting the same disease are forever branded on my heart and soul. Regret and pain her unintentional parting gifts.
That will not be me.
I won’t allow it.
Instead, I will live my life to the fullest for the time I have left.
I accept my fate.
That’s my choice; my right.

Oliver Gentry, my childhoo

"It's important that we stop, breathe and live in the here and now. It's all too easy to get caught up in things that may never happen - to borrow trouble. We will always have worries and fears, but if we give into them they'll start dimming the fire we have within, and we'll lose sight of all we have to appreciate around us

“Let’s catch that dream. Together.”

This is my first read by Jennifer Miller and oh my poor aching heart did this story pack an emotional wallop!!

GIVE ME A REASON is the heartbreaking AND beautifully uplifting friends to lovers story, featuring a brave and beautiful young woman, Remy Sinclair, who is still reeling from the tragic death of her mother but has found sweet solace in Oliver Gentry, the childhood best frie

Oh how I love this author and truthfully I never thought I would love anything more then those awesome men from her Deadly Sins Series. Ugh I was wrong. If I could give this book more than five stars I would. This is a different kind of read from her but I will say it is hands down the BEST book she has ever written. Remy and Oliver are the most AMAZING characters who take me on one of the most emotional journeys. Yes I read this book in a night because I must devour a good story (yes it is an a ...more

Rely and Oliver’s story

Ooh, I don’t know how to leave a review for this story. I felt for Remy’s character so much. I read a review on the book but that sums up my feelings for this story to the tea. I can’t remember who wrote it but I couldn’t agree more. I remember seeing my loved ones go through this battle and it saddens me. But you should fight to your last breath.

I enjoyed this book of the characters of Remy & Oliver. How they finally expressed their love for one another.

When I started reading this book, I was not sure I would be able to handle it because it touches on a sensitive subject; breast cancer. I have lost many aunts to cancer, and one actually passed from breast cancer so I knew I had to prepare myself emotionally to dive into this. The book opens with Remy finding out that she has an aggressive form of breast cancer, rather than seek treatment like her mother did prior to her life being taken by the horrible disease, she opts to forgo any type of int ...more

I knew from the beginning that this book would rip my heart to shreds, but I read it anyways and I loved it! A beautiful story about, loss, heartache and pain, love and friendship, and learning to value oneself and “find their reason”.

Remy and Oliver are best friends and have loved each other since they were children. They have always been there for each other through the good times and the bad but been afraid to cross the line as they didn’t want to take a chance on jeopardizing their friendship. when Remy gets devastating news, it is a gamechanger and their relationship will never be the same.

The news shakes them both to the core and Oliver has decided that the one thing he doesn’t want is regrets so he is determined to sh

I wish I could give this book more than 5 Stars. It was heartfelt, heartbreaking, a testament to true love and loving someone enough to be brave, face your own fears and possibly even let that other person go.

I loved Remy and Oliver. The lengths he goes to to show his best friend all the reasons why she’s important to him was amazing. This is one of the sweetest best friends/unrequited love stories I’ve read in I can’t remember how long. The words JM used to voice Remy’s fears and paint the pic

Wow! I’m still kind of reeling from this story. It was completely different from any of Jennifer’s previous work, so make sure you’re strapped in tight before getting on this emotional rollercoaster of a ride because you’re going to need to be grounded.

It’s a beautifully told friends to lovers story, and as much as Oliver made my heart soar, there were times that I didn’t think I’d survive it. And yet in my despair, this ray of hope would shine through because of the love these two childhood fri

Beautiful & heart wrenching

This book was a roller coaster of emotions. Having Remy deal with her diagnosis after everything she went through with her mom - the feelings and thoughts going through her head were sad and emotional to read, especially if you personally have gone through or know of a family member or friend that has gone through the same thought process. But Remy wasn’t alone - her bright light was her childhood best friend Oliver, who captured her heart with his ability to give her

This is a new author to me, and my word, I will certainly be one clicking her other work. This story is a true inspiration to so many who have been dealt the same hand in their lives, and is written with such sensitivity that it is truly phenomenal. Remy and Oliver are both amazing characters who move on from friends / lovers. This is a beautifully written flawless story, which is emotional, heartbreaking, heartfelt, loving, gritty and all in all a powerful read. The 5 star rating does just not ...more

This book has ruined me for the week. In a good way though. Give Me a Reason is a friends-to-lovers story mixed with heartache and emotional anguish. Remy and Oliver are such beautifully crafted characters. Jennifer Miller's writing in this book is so perfectly written. I felt as if she put her whole heart into it. I have no words. Beautiful.

Wow is all I can say

I read the reviews before I bought this book that said it was not your usual book. All I can say it blew me away. The love of Oliver was so beautiful. Remy was so brave. You couldn’t have asked for a better love story that touches your heart like this one. It really left an imprint on me.

This book was such an emotional ride. This is my first book by this author and I still can't get over this book. She did such a great job with this book. I honestly loved the plot also my best part of this book is the way Oliver would show how much Remy meant to him and why she should stay.

Truly a heartbreaking and heavy story. The emotions you feel as she recalls the memories of her mother mixed with her very own feelings and experiences pulls tightly on your heart strings.

Oh my Lord where to start...this book was absolutely heart wrenching. Remy is diagnosed with Breast Cancer and after watching her mother become a shell of herself, she decides that she can’t make herself go through what her mother did. She doesn’t want treatment. Oliver, her best friend, who has secretly been in love with her for years talks to her of his feeling and things become very tense. Remy decides to go forward with the treatments. Through all the treatments and surgeries Oliver is there ...more
