Can a book be pure and dirty at the same time? Because if there is such a thing, this book is it! It had me fanning myself and going "Aww" in every chapter. It was fun, it was cheeky, it was cute, and more importantly, it had depth. The cover design is gorgeous and eye catching, giving away the secret pleasure the main characters love to indulge in, without spoiling any of the fun. I really liked all the characters in the story, both Kyle and Alex are swoon worthy, and the female leads were big-hearted and relatable, with the exception of the Hanford evil witch. Our story begins with Alex, who has discovered a couple of very important things about himself and, at twenty-two, has undergone a very traumatic, life-altering experience that has caused him to move away from his hometown, and is now living in the same building as Kyle. Alex has noticed the gorgeous food truck owner that lives directly downstairs from his place, but since his last relationship crashed and burned in a rather spectacular manner, he is keeping to himself and keeps shutting down any attempt Kyle makes at a connection. But serendipity and some boundary-crossing curiosity save the day, and Kyle and Alex find that they have quite a lot in common. Hotness ensues, and it is blistering! Every page is dripping with their intense chemistry, and the development of their relationship is genuinely organic. I found great joy in witnessing how Kyle and Alex discover and recognize that they are soulmates, even as they mess up and try again, and how beautifully moving it is to meet the perfect person that absolutely accepts you as a whole, and not just the parts that fulfill a need. Both Alex and Kyle are very young, only twenty-two and twenty-three, but Alex has experienced quite a lot for his age and yet has a sweet, somewhat innocently pure personality that couldn't help but capture Kyle's attention and heart. I found both men's emotions to be pure and genuine, even as they were tearing up the blankets with their crazy passion. There was quite a lot of humor in the book, which I always enjoy, like the funny chapter titles, and Kyle and Valentina's banter, and who doesn't love a cookie recipe? I highly recommend this book, and will now try to get over the book hangover, with some rainbow cookies.
