I have always loved the story of the three little pigs, but I personally didn't quite like this version of it. I think this book should be read to kids of the ages 4-8 because I'm sure they will love it. If I was to use this book in class I would make a play out of it to get the kids involved and to let them know that literature can be fun.
This original story of the three little pigs follows three pigs that are being tormented by a big bad wolf. The wolf is doing anything he can to try and get into the home of the pigs. After three tries, they accomplish building a house that is sturdy enough to block out the wolf. In the end, the pigs trick the wolf and boil him. If I were to read this to my students, I would have them make a short dramatic play out of it.

The Three Little Pigs is a fable about three anthropomorphic pigs who build three houses of different materials. A big bad wolf blows down the first two pigs' houses, made of straw and sticks respectively, but is unable to destroy the third pig's house, made of bricks.
Persistent to outwit the big bad wild, the third little pig who built his house of bricks is highlighted jn this story more than other takes on this classic ‘The Three Little Pigs’. My four-year-old enjoyed listening to it yet the story felt dry and predictable.
This is the classic story of 3 pigs and a wolf. Each pig makes a house, one of straw, one with sticks and one with bricks. The wolf try’s to blow down each house.
This version is like many others that I have heard. The First pig uses straw and the wolf blows it down. The second pig uses sticks and the wolf blows it down. the third pig used bricks which the wolf was not able to blow down. the wolf invites him to go pick turnips at 6 but the pig is smarter than that and went at 5. The same thing happened when he was invited to pick apples. But this time he was not quick enough. Then he invites him to go to the fair, once there the pig makes a break for it in a barrel. Then the wolf climbs the chimney and falls in a pot of boiling water.
Traditional Literature #8 This is a story about three little pigs. The first two pigs were easily picked on by the wolf. The wolf blew both of their houses down, but the third pig was too smart for the wolf. The wolf would try to trick him, but each time the pig outsmarted the wolf. At the end of the story, the wolf goes down the chimney of the pig's brick house and winds up in a pot of boiling water.
Traditional Literature 10 The Three Little Pigs each build a house. One out of straw, one out of sticks, and one out of bricks. The big, bad wolf comes and blows the house of sticks and the house of straw down, but he is unable to blow down the house of brick. This story teaches a valuable lesson in quality of materials.
This is the story of the Three Little Pigs who each build a house and the Big Bad Wolf comes to eat them up. This is one of my all time favorite fairy tales, and I am glad I got to read it again in this adapted version by Jane Jerarrd.
This story is about 3 little pigs who decide to build a house. The first of straw, the second uses sticks and the third pig uses bricks. The big bad wolf is able to blow down the first to houses, but not the brick house. This is a great fairy-tale.
I liked this little book. It told the story of the 3 little pigs well. I just wish it had more pictures for the reader to look at and bring the story to life.
