Not quite as great as the first book, but much better than nearly all the easy readers published since.

This is another fun book in the series of easy-to-read short chapters about Oliver and Amanda Pig.
Chapters are:
The Surprise Seed - (in which Oliver helps Father plant seeds, and one stray seed is a mystery);
All Alone - (in which Oliver’s help causes Mother to seek some alone time);
Questions - (in which Oliver has so many questions for Father to answer);
Mother’s Holiday - (in which Mother is away for a day and Grandmother’s ways are not like Mother’s);
Bedtime - (in which Oliver keeps calling for Mother because he cannot get to sleep).

I enjoyed that there are stories about a mom getting space and time for herself. I enjoy both series but the Amanda ones slightly more.

Mother’s desire for some alone time and Oliver asking way too many questions…universal truths! I love finding these relatable truths in old books, proving parenting has always been the same.

Re-purchased for my collection.

Love Lobel! Illustrations so sweet, philosophy so gentle. Bad Day is good self help for the under six set, even for those without siblings. Snowsuits deals with parents getting frustrated.

Excelente para leer a los pequeños. También para que los peques empiecen a leer. Y a los adultos les puede enseñar cómo escribir utilizando oraciones simples y transmitir mensajes claros.

Sweet stories, but Oliver's mom seems like she is at the end of her rope.
