Purchased this book in 2001, at the height of Pallotta TeamWorks, and in the year of my first PTW AIDSRide event. I rode again the following year, and then PTW closed its doors. It was a shock, and heartbreaking, especially in the sense that other organizations / companies failed PTW. (I would expect this to be covered in his later book, Uncharitable: How Restraints on Nonprofits Undermine Their Potential, which I have not yet read.)

I was one of the dreamers that appreciated Pallotta and his efforts. And so, I kept the book on my shelf, but didn't have the heart to read it until 2022. It brought out in me a lot of nostalgia, given the many statistics and anecdotes culled from PTW events. Pallotta also shares quite personal stories about his life and dreams, and how PTW came into being. Overall, this book is about dreaming, commitment, and never quitting. And kindness. Always kindness.
