42 books5,454 followersDoris Helen Kearns Goodwin is an American biographer, historian, former sports journalist, and political commentator. She has written biographies of numerous U.S. presidents. Goodwin's book No Ordinary Time: Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt: The Home Front in World War II won the Pulitzer Prize for History in 1995. Goodwin produced the American television miniseries Washington. She was also executive producer of "Abraham Lincoln", a 2022 docudrama on the History Channel. This latter series was based on Goodwin's Leadership in Turbulent Times.

DKG writes it, I read it - it is that simple. Team of Rivals is absolutely THE BEST and definitive biography of Lincoln and his most trusted war cabinet EVER written. Each is a biography within itself.
Bully Pulpit defines the gilded age and shoes the advent of dirty politics that started with Taft and TR. I took 2 days off from work (cough-cough) to read it in a single sitting.

ONE of the best books i have ever read

Impressive capture of history, politics and journalism. Great quotes, Doesn’t necessarily give me faith in our politics- feels like things are on a constant repeat.
