April in Atlantis by Alyssa Day

A paranormal novella from the spin off Atlantis series. Can be read as a standalone romance.

April is a warrior. The minute Pine sets eyes on April, he is determined to have her as his own. Making her Ambassador from Atlantis to the Scottish werewolf clan is a perfect plan to have her spend time with him. Unfortunately, April is just not the Ambassador type.

Fun, fast and adorable, this 90 page novella has humor and love. Perfect for an afternoon escape.

Absolutely Awful!

Your books contain so many typos they give me a pain in my grumpy. When a author doesn't take the time to review her own work,I refuse to spend good money on pure crap! That's what this book was. These are nothing but novellas. I most certainly will not purchase another!

Alyssa Day - April in Atlantis: A Poseidon’s Warriors paranormal romance novel

April in Atlantis has been a bit of a wait but worth it. King Conlan has formed a second group of special forces Poseidon’s Elite Warriors”. Finally there is a female warrior, April, she is a proud capable woman who excels at the bow and arrow.
April has worked hard to be accepted on this team and to be treated as any other warrior. When in the midst of a battle she runs into Pine, Prince of the Wolf Shifters. Although

This book was months in the publishing loop. But it was worth the wait!
April is the first female warrior in Poseidon's Elite Warriors. She does everything right and is lethal with her bow and arrow.
Pine is the Prince of the European Wolf Shifters, during a huge fight in March he was trying to provide cover for the beautiful archer when she saved his life, then he got to save her's. And when going for his kiss... yeah should have known better.... got punched in the face. He wants her, she's his m

The fabled group known as Poseidon's Warriors job was to protect humankind from any of the vampires, shifters, Fae or other supernatural creatures who wanted to prey on them. A new group of Atlantean fighters are on the move. The king calls them the Twelve. The rest of Atlantis calls them Denal's Deadbeats. April was the first female to become one of Poseidon's Warriors. Her skill was with the bow and she was accurate and deadly. Pine is the King of the European Werewolves. When they meet in the ...more

Received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review! And honestly.....I absolutely loved it!! As always Alyssa Day has outdone herself and written a book worthy of 5 🌟's! So far the whole "A Year in Atlantis " is great and I am certain the rest will be the same. Cannot wait for May in Atlantis! Apri! in Atlantis has everything that the other books have......excitement, action, interesting locales, tons of humor that makes you laugh 😂 till it hurts and such unique characters! I don't think Alyssa Day could write a bad book if she tried. I have been on board since her first Warriors of Poseidon, Atlantis Rising. I remember my sister and I read it at the same time and had laughter, fanning from the hotness and worry for our hero. This short Novella (book 4) in the spinoffs provides the same in a novella form. Get comfy, grab the book, revel in the strength, understand the insecurity, fan yourself over that hot Werewolf Prince, yes, yes, not what they prefer to be calle ...more

I really wanted to love this book. It’s probably more of a 2 ⭐ book, but I just loved the characters so much.

I understood from the first couple of books that these stories would be more novella length, but this one felt more like a collection of scenes strung together as a book.

On the positive there was a consistent arc for the story to follow; the story just felt unfinished. There were large gaps in time between chapters and certain story elements popped up without there being scenes to show ho

I don't do 5 stars often, but this fast novella had all the marks. It is a part of the follow up to the Poseidon's Warrior book series, which you kind of need to read to understand everything that happens in these novellas and gives you the explanation of what the Warriors are and the history of Atlantis. This installment is mainly romance. I liked Pine from previous stories. There is action at the beginning and the end, but it is mostly a story of two lonely people getting to know each other an ...more

This is a novella in the Warriors of Poseidon series. April is the first female Warrior of Poseidon and she's been sent as an ambassador to the European wolves, specifically requested by Pine, the prince of the European wolves whose motives may not be completely wholesome ...

I loved April, she knew how to stand up for herself and was a fierce warrior in her own right. I loved the story, set in my own Scotland too. Because this is a novella it's short - as it's supposed to be - but the characters

Perfect Mates

Pine and April meet in an earlier story, March in Atlantis. He gets her named ambassador to his pack in Europe. Her transformation from warrior to reluctant ambassador is very entertaining. It has a lot of humor as well as adventure. I enjoyed the story very much.

This short novella was a quick, romantic, fun read. While I do wish we had a little more detail on April and Pine’s whirlwind courtship, the story was still very satisfying, having all the great earmarks of this author’s great writing. The interlude into the arc of the overall story was great and just what you need if you’re looking for a fast read on a dreary afternoon. I do recommend!! I was provided the e-book which I reviewed voluntarily.

Captivating, hilarious story!

I LOVED April! Though I wish there was a bit more about the demon/twin/whatever, the entire story was sexy, humorous, and fast paced. It flowed smoothly, was easy to read, and thoroughly held my attention. April, the person, was snarky and witty, and someone I wish I could know in real life. Great job on this one!

I received an arc in exchange for my honest opinion.
This was a fun book. Pine and April total opposites but so right for each other. April is sent to be an ambassador in Scotland, but she is a warrior not an ambassador. Pine just wants April with him and doesn’t care how he gets her in Scotland. With someone trying to murder Pine or April and an evil twin thrown in. Funny and great read.

April is a month and a lady. Love the idea. And I love that she’s not the typical type female that would join a warrior team.

Little Anne is so cool, I wish we’d seen more of her. Maybe in Nyn’s book.

Fave scenes: April meeting Annie and April’s first ambassadorial dinner.

Loved April & Pine!

Such a fun story. April kept Pine on his toes and I loved his niece, Annie. I can't wait to see what happens with all the characters in my favorite world in the next book!

Very good.

April is a warrior forced to be a Ambassador to the wolves. Line is the Prince of wolves. They grow close as she learns the ropes. Then suddenly there is a little danger. I like Pine. He is tough and protective.

April and Pine. I love strong heroines. Pine's niece was a hoot. Such a fun short story. The relationship between these two was fun. A must read.

Good story

Short sweet story with wolves and demons. Interest happens at the first glance and it only takes the follow up on the interest for things to progress.
