Okay, so reviewing the final book in a series is always harder. You can’t go into too much since you’ll definitely touch on spoilers for the prior books – and I know a lot will wait for a series to be completed to read – so I’m just going to try and focus on my feels. And hopefully make sense

I went into the series with certain ideas. I have read JA Huss’s books for YEARS. And I think I sort of had this idea in the back of my mind that even with a writing partner, her trademark suspense and twist

This series was a wild ride! In the final book of the series we get a look at Tyler and Maddie recognizing the new turn in their lives. Thinking the danger is now in the past, they both want to do more, to have meaning and do something that will make them both feel like they are doing something worthwhile. It was like they were bringing the first phase of their life to a close and beginning a new journey together. And man what a journey that was!

I loved that this book was devoted to Tyler and M
This is a great conclusion to the series. Maddie and Tyler have had a wild ride and now things are settling down. Each of these characters begin to work on themselves and the baggage that they’ve been carrying for years. With the unconditional love for each other they begin to make progress toward a healing that will only deepen their connection in the years to come.

Tyler has quite a moment where things finally click for him and I loved watching this crazy man make sense of his life and the cir

I had no idea what to expect in the final installment of this series, so much happened in book three it had me wondering if this was going to be an extended epilogue. Of course that was not the case because for the most part this has been all about Tyler and Maddie navigating their way through a lot of shit so now they need to figure out how to move forward together. How to be Tyler & Maddie.

Both of them have been drifting with no real purpose so some self reflection happens in this book. Like w

It’s here! It’s finally here! The ending, the epic conclusion we’ve all been jonesing for! PASSION RISING by the amazing writing duo, J.A. JA Huss and Johnathan McClain have done themselves proud with this final instalment in the "Original Sin" series. Seriously, part of me is just so happy with how this final book turned out but another part of me is absolutely gutted that it's all over. No more Maddie and Tyler, the barmy couple who weaved their way into our hearts with their crazy ways. There has never been a couple quite like this pair and I doubt there ever will be. They really were as unique as they come and I loved them for ...more

It’s always a bittersweet feeling when a series comes to an end, but for some reason, saying goodbye to Tyler and Maddie is so much more than that. Because these four books? It isn’t just putting it as simple as a series—it’s a full-on mental, emotional and hell, even a physical experience. Especially this last book. I can’t even express the impact Passion Rising has left with me. I can’t say that it wasn’t what or how I expected it to be, but then again, this is

Passion Rising ends the Original Sin series with a bang! And I felt like I got to know the main characters so much better here.

Review - (un)Conventional Bookviews
For a while in the beginning of Passion Rising, things were going slow - the aftermath of Flesh Into Fire could still be felt. However, Maddie and Tyler finally had room and time to breathe. To slow down. To get to know each other better. They were also able to heal - both physically and emotional

It's the end we've been waiting for. It's the beginning we didn't realize we wanted.

Maddie and Tyler have been through so much in their short time together. They've struggled internally, externally, and everywhere else you can struggle.

And just when you think you're getting comfortable, because Huss and McClain lull you into a false sense of security for a good portion of this book, the shit hits the fan.

I was nervous. I wasn't sure what was going on. I messaged my friends who had already fin

Well, we’ve made it to the end of the Original Sin series, and I’m a pretty sad panda now. Leading up to this last book, I was super stoked to see what was going to happen with Maddie and Tyler now. By the end of Flesh Into Fire, they had pretty much been to hell and back. The threats they had been facing through the first three books have been eradicated, so what could possibly be next for Maddie and Tyler? Were they finally going to be able to just “be” and get down to becoming acquainted with ...more

We now have the conclusion for the Original Sin series in Passion Rising by J.A. Huss and Johnathan McClain and what an ending it was! Maggie and Tyler are soulmates. This we have always known, but each of them have their own demons to conquer. However, we do finally see them grow and connect in new ways that help and heal them.

Maddie and Tyler have been through so much together, can they finally get their happily ever after? This was such an emotional journey for both our beloved characters an

The last book in this series. The first chapter was a lot of fun to read, all about Maddie and Tyler connecting, bonding and pretty much fucking from one page to another. As this is the last book I needed to know 'is there going to be anything else happening besides these two banging'. A bit drama happens towards the end and that's pretty much the whole story. I was happy to see Maddie and Tyler relationship progress but I needed more. This series probably could have been a trilogy instead of fo ...more

Huss/McClain’s Original Sin series ends with Passion Rising and what an ending it is!
The event of this book begins immediately after Flesh Into Fire. Maddie and Tyler are recovering from their close call with death and working on their relationship--loudly. They can’t get enough of each other. Tyler being Tyler attempts to hide the pain from his injuries but Maddie being Maddie sees through him. I love the relationship between these two characters. It is well done from beginning to end.

Wow. Passion Rising was honestly the perfect ending for this series as well as the perfect way to wrap up Huss & McClain's first foray into being writing partners.

Passion Rising did a one-eighty and went from being more action to more...cerebral. And that wasn't a bad thing. At least not for me. It made me stop and think - really examine the story as a whole. And I appreciated that. Maddie and Tyler have been through so much in their young lives. Things that would have broken lesser individ

"Because the fight never ends-it just gets easier with someone at your side."

This quote is so fitting for Maddie and Tyler. Passion Rising was the perfect conclusion to this wild series! I have enjoyed every book in this series, and was anxious to read the finale. I must say out of all the many books that I have read, Maddie and Tyler is one of my top favorite couples, ever!

I love Tyler !!!!
This was the perfect conclusion to a perfect series.
I love how Tyler and Maddie have grow, how the continue to be better everyday and want to be better persons for themselves and for each other. I love that we can see that evolution in this serie.
My favorite part as always is Tyler and his humor. His inner talks are hilarious.
The are a really funny pair. And the get the humor of one and other. Their relationship is one that any persons should want, full of love, respect, support

I've followed this series since the very beginning and have enjoyed the total ride.
Maddie and Tyler are very different than your average "romance" characters. They are strong, they are weak, they are crazy, but through it all they were two broken and lost souls just looking to find themselves. They want to find answers to questions they really didn't even know they were searching for. They want to find love. They want to find each other.

Tyler is our crazy guy that has seen it all, but has run a

Passion Rising punctuated the fact that, as a whole, the Original Sin series is really more of an experience than just a series of books for you to read. These four books are not just a story of a boy getting a second chance with a girl and, after some drama and some bad stuff happening, living happily ever after. It's not nearly as cut-and-dry and "tropey" as all that.

Once again, I have to be cagey AF, because so much of what happens in Passion Rising is a culmination of things that have been

PASSION RISING – the fourth and last book of the first collaboration between JA Huss and Johnathan McClain. Just wow. Tyler and Maddie’s story takes no prisoners. It’s real. Honest. Be it the language – or slanguage – being used – so everyday, how many of us would speak it in real life – or the description of the characters you feel like you know after following their journey throughout the books. Yeah, their lives are complicated, crazy and messed-up, attracting trouble everywhere they go, but ...more

Huss and McClain finish the Original Sin series with this fourth book and it’s everything I hoped it would be. It’s more of Maddie and Tyler, so much more. I feel like I have been on a journey with two friends whom I have gotten to know and come to love throughout this series. I have watched them grow as they've been to hell (and heaven) and back. It’s been a great ride. As the characters so aptly note, they have been through so much in such a short time and have changed so much, I feel as thoug ...more

Ever wonder what happens after the HEA of a romance novel? Passion Rising sort of answers that question for Tyler and Maddie. This rather existential, final book in the Original Sin Series thoroughly shows the growth in the characters as they evolved from total messes to a united front in honoring their lost loved ones.

Maddie and Tyler face their emotional demons, specifically the specter of Scotty, whose opinion mattered greatly to both of them. His core values are a beacon shining light into

My heart is full. Passion Rising marks the end to this intense, laugh out loud funny, sexy as all get out, gut wrenching and heart warming series. This series is the brain child of two incredible creative talents in more ways than one. The entire Original Sin series was a revelation. The evolution of Tyler and Maddie as individuals and as a couple epitomizes"darkness into light".

Passion Rising is the 4th and final book in the fantastic Original Sins series. We get to say goodbye to Maddie and Tyler, now that the chaos has ended and they can settle down and start their lives together. But, can they really?
I have to say, I have been a fan of JA Huss since her first book released, and have loved every single book she wrote. I was more than a little interested to see how her books would change with the addition of Johnathan McClain. But I don't really think they changed. I

Passion Rising is the conclusion to Tyler and Maddies story and the previous books do need to be read before starting this.

Now back from Mexico, Maddie and Tyler’s lives finally seems to be going well. Happier than they’ve been for ages, they’re both riding the high and enjoying been with each other. It’s not long before real life intrudes and brings insecurities and old faces from the past. Will Maddie and Tyler be able to overcome them and get their HEA?

Passion Rising (Original Sin #4) was the final ride ( or maybe not!) for Tyler and Maddie and what an emotional and entertaining roller coaster journey it has been, and I have to say I have loved every minute of it.

In this last book, we get to see Tyler and Maddie face and put their demons to rest and understanding and except each other. It was great to see the growth between the two over the series. Tyler is proba

What a great finish to an amazing series!! I’m really going to miss Maddie, Tyler and the gang. It’s been one hell of a ride!

This was Maddie and Tyler’s book. It’s about their love for each other and what it takes to make a relationship work. They think the worst is behind them. Maybe it is or maybe it isn’t.

The humor Tyler has shines in this book. The love they have for each other is one to be rivaled and should be written in the history books.

I love the this series so much. J.A. Huss and Jo

This is the final book in this series. And at first I wasn't sure what to expect. I have read all of Huss's books except the Junco series. And I have loved them all. She always takes us on an adventure and keeps us on our toes. We expect the unexpected. When I learned she was going to start writing with Johnathan McClain I was excited but wasn't sure what to expect. When I first started to read the series I will be honest I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. I had to put it down a few times. ...more
