Ash Ashford's life is at a crossroads. A college graduate with a severe case of writer’s block, Ash hopes to start fresh by moving into a new house with friends, old and new, but what she doesn't expect is to fall for the golden-haired boy down the hall. From the start, Ash knows she can't have Logan but that doesn't stop her mind— and her heart— from wandering. Logan is e ...more

Missed Encounters is the third book in The Encounters Series and brings us to Ash. If you've read the previous book you may remember her as Winona's co-worker. In her own story she lights up the pages with her somewhat quirky, lovable personality. Which I loved by the way. I really enjoyed the fact that her differences weren't shoved in our faces, they were just were she was. Silver haired, tattooed, Harry Potter loving Oreo indulger.

This book was so good! The way that Scarlett Hopper writes pulls you in and doesn’t let you go until the book is finished. I loved this book from the beginning and was rooting for Ash and Logan. There was the perfect amount of appearances from the characters from Brief Encounters and Chance Encounters, not overdoing it the way so many books do. It is superbly written and gripping. Ash and Logan are figuring out who they are and what they want all their relationships in their lives to look like. ...more

Instalment three of the encounters series was good. Although I’m still waiting for the Vivian book, Ash’s story does not disappoint. Truthfully I didn’t have the connection with these characters that I felt in book one and two of this series, it was still a good read and left me wanting more of this misfit family.

Thank you to the author for an ARC of this book.

Me on Page 1: Alright, here we go. The goodness has already started!

I read three paragraphs and was sucked right into this book. Three paragraphs. I think this book could have sucked and I would still enjoy it, just for the author’s writing. It’s just as wonderful as I remember it.

On the surface, Ashley “Ash” Ashford is trying to live her life and attend college with her friends. She soon reveals that her beloved father is in a coma and her broth

I received this book as an ARC and all I can say is when it comes out you need to get it.
I was hooked from the first chapter.
I love Ash and Logan so much.
Ash is a woman who is her own person and doesn’t care what people think about her. I love her so much. Logan is s hockey player who is just trying to live his life but has difficulty with his dad wanting him to live another way of life.
Ash and Logan meet at a party and have and instant connection, they never exchange names of numbers. A cou

I just want to hug Logan the entire time that I was reading Missed Encounters. I love everything about him even his flaws because he's just so relatable but is the sweetest to a fault. I love Ash' fashion statement, if I could rock the silver hair, I would do it in a heartbeat! Haha! What I love most about this book is how they met. That scene is very cinematic, it's going to be one of those that i will never forget because the imagery that Scarlett Hopper put in there is amazing, the room, Ash ...more

Another great novel by Scarlett Hopper! Missed Encounters was a great continuation to the series. I loved having a chance to get to know new characters and learning their quirks while still having some cameos from the other characters we’ve grown to love. Ash and Logan were the focus of this book. While Ash was a decent enough character, I really enjoyed Logan. He was just so good: kind, thoughtful, good at hockey... all the things I particularly love! He was met with a lot of internal struggles ...more

This is my first book by Scarlett Hopper, and I am in love with it. The only downside is that I haven't read the first two books yet, but Missed Encounters can definitely be read as a standalone.
For most of this book Logan and Ash are trying to friend zone each other. This made my heart break as I could tell that they were perfect for each other. Unfortunately there were outside factors that played into their fledgling romance, which really di

The third instalment in the encounters story brings you Logan and Ash’s story.

The main characters were written well and the story flowed nicely, there were appearances from other characters from the two previous books that I enjoyed. The reason I didn’t give this 5 stars was I struggled a bit to feel a connection with Ash and Logan.

They were written well, I just didn’t feel that deep connection like I wanted to.

The storyline was awesome though, focusing on growth with in the characters whilst

This is the third book in this amazing series, and is Ash and Logan’s turn. Ash is a feisty, independent character that lives her life the way she wants to. Logan is a hockey player, who is tired of living his life to please others. No spoilers; this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed. This is a well written story which has strength, growth, friendship, and love. I was totally intrigued and hooked and I cannot wait to read more from this talented author, whose work I recommend ...more

** 4 Stargazing Stars**

Scarlett is a new author for me and I have not read the other books in the series but I could follow this one just fine. This is book three in the Encounters series.

I liked this book. The story of Ash and Logan starts off a bit slow for me then all of a sudden I am drawn into this world and falling in love with them. They meet prior to this while getting away from a party and stargazing. They have an instant connection and can feel the pull even though they both know they

Logan & Ash's story is the third book in The Encounter Series, and while it can be read as a stand alone, I really recommend reading them in order anyway. Ash marches to the beat of her own drummer, so living life the way she wants to obviously. Logan is a hockey player who battles trying to live his own life, while also pleasing others. He meets Ash at a party, and feels a connection to her, but doesn't see her again for a long time, until they end up moving in the same house. And that's all th ...more

Another enjoyable read from Scarlett and the group of characters from the Encounters series! With Ash being such a mystery in the first two books, I was dying to get to know her character in this book! I also really liked Logan; he truly was a guy who was trying extremely hard to please everyone but himself and the physical and emotional toll it took on him is so very common. I also loved the development of the characters as a whole; the fact that their lives are constantly changing yet they con ...more

Another fabulous book by Scarlett. This book was just as brilliant as the last two in the series, Scarlett knows exactly how to make reader fall in love with her characters. Ash and Logan’s love story will not disappoint, and I was rooting for them from the beginning, I love how this book entwines with the characters in the series that are in the other books, it makes you feel like you are catching up with an old friend. It left me wanting more.

A sweet romance between a sugar-addicted Harry Potter fan and a college hockey player, these two find love even with family as an obstacle in their way. HEA and no cheating involved.

I received this book free as a Goodreads giveaway.
