Kirjan suomenkielisestä nimestä ei käy ilmi, että tarinassa seikkailee mummi ja Pikkukarhu. Kirjan kansikuvasta tietysti olisi voinut päätellä jotain, mutta oma kirjastoni oli luetellut kirjan ystävyys-teeman alle. Ehkäpä isovanhempi voidaan luokitella myös ystäväksi, vaikka sukulaisuussuhteita tässä ehkä enemmän kuvaillaan..

Kirjaa lukiessa tuli vahvasti olo, että näitä kirjoja on kolmetoista tusinassa. Olen lukenut paljon niin omille kuin työpaikan muksuille tämänkaltaisia kirjoja, mutta tässä kirjassa mikään ei oikein tuntunut asettuvan edukseen tai edes poikkeavan muista. Riimit olivat lyhyitä, käännös toimi. Kuvitus oli juuri sellaista kuin tämäntyyppisissä kirjoissa voisi olettaa olevan; pehmeää, suloista ja kaunista.

Hyvänmielen kirja, sitä tämä mielestäni on. Tuttu ja turvallinen teema, jota tämänpäivän muksuille uskaltaa esimerkiksi päiväkodissa lukea.

Continuing her easy read-aloud family series, Ritchie presents the joys of being with grandma as the little cub and her explore the great outdoors. Grandma is quite nimble in this book, cartwheeling and diving in the water, which is a refreshing look at what Grandma's can do. Nothing spectacularly new but will be appreciated by reader and listener alike.

It's not easy to find books with big, clean illustrations, easy for the youngest to absorb during readings, and this one is perfect. A charming story about a child and his grandmother enjoying their day together, so although it is a bit too predictable for older readers, toddlers will love it!

As I expected this is a soothing story of the fun a young bear and the grandma bear have together. Pleasing rhyme verses. Wouldn't it be nice if all grandchildren had fun with their grandmothers like this story portrays.

An absolutely adorable book about a little bear's fun day with his grandma. So cute. Must use for Grandparent's Day sometime.
