I loved this book! Often in books involving sports, the main character is very gung-ho about the sport. Not here. In this book, Asiyah has to be convinced to join the travel team. Initially, she prefers to fool around rather than work on her skills. I thought she was a great, realistic main character. It offered a really good lesson. I also liked that she wore a head scarf.
