Blood Oath (Blood Oath #2) by Amanda McCrina was and action packed, bloody historical fantasy read that will punch you right in the feels.

What a read, that detail! I felt like I was on the battle field. The world building was on point, and you can tell a lot of research went into making this as authentic, and entertaining as possible. Oh, Amanda, you made me cry! Seriously. It happened at the climax of the battle, when loyalty was demonstrated. Also, Alluin is awesome.

If you've read the author's comments, you'll know this book is about friendship. In particular, it traces the friendship between Alluin and Torien, how it began, and what its consequences are. There's also a lot of intrigue and twisty politics, and yes (sorry Amanda) violence. If no single scene is as upsetting as one at the end of BLOOD ROAD, there are still so
