A spectacularly detailed and laid out plan for just about every country in the world. The love and care that went into writing this guide is incomparable. I truly think Lonely Planet is the best guidebook company out there!

If you love to travel the world you will love this book! This travel atlas covers the entire globe providing highlights for each country or region, along with sample itineraries to help jumpstart a trip. As an atlas there are maps and pictures provided for a reference point as you go through the book. I found the book to be half recommended places to visit and half travel agent, planning many itineraries for wherever one would like to travel in the world...even Antarctica!
I love to travel myself and I spent a lot of time going through the book finding new places to travel to and great recommendations! It took me a long time to get through it all but am glad that I did. My list has expanded so much and I have decided that I need to purchase this book to keep as a reference for my future endeavors. Whether you love to travel and want to skip around in the book to simply peruse or you want to plan a detailed trip, this is the perfect book for you. Beware, this will definitely feed your wanderlust!

Truly dreadful on the Kindle
This is the first e-book for which I have started a process of getting a refund.
This book - on the Kindle - is completely illegible. You cannot read the tiny script and you cannot enlarge the text or the maps.
It is literally useless: there is no conceivable use for this e-book.
Did no-one at Lonely Planet or Amazon actually try this out and see what it looked like? Did no one, out of a cast of thousands, think “Let’s see what this looks like” on a Kindle? Or did they just say “I haven’t even opened it but think 18.99 is a reasonable price”?
The day they bring out a 75” iPad, I’ll buy it again. But until then, this has no possible use whatsoever.

SERIOUSLY DISAPPOINTED. :'(
This book was advertised as covering every country. It does NOT. I was particularly interested in West Africa but that entire region is almost non existent in this book. I find it quite Euro-centric.
I'm disappointed picture wise too. It has some pictures but they are mostly un-labelled and not next to the text about them so don't give you information but instead are mere decorations for the book. I would have expected that such a book would put pictures of recommended places next to the text recommending them, clearly labelling what and where they are.
