Kipton and The Monorail Murder. Kipton and her good friend Akimi are off to a distant habitat to sell androids to an industrialist who has an expansive vision of Mars future. On their return journey, a chance companion on the monorail dies, and Kipton soon learns that the young victim was an agent investigating the very industrialist they had met with. This time it is with the blessings of the authorities and her own father that Kipton swings into investigative action.
Charles Louis Fontenay was an American journalist and science fiction writer.
He wrote science fiction novels and short stories. His non-fiction includes the biography of prominent New Deal era politician Estes Kefauver.
Mr. Fontenay served as editor of the Nashville Tennessean, among other newspapers, worked with the Associated Press and Gannett News Service. He retired to St. Petersburg, Florida where he continued to write science fiction until shortly before his death.
