This was soooo not the book for me.

While the book was well-written and well-edited, I simply found myself completely bored.

Maybe it was the slightly-older MC's (37 and 42), which aren't my preference at all. There's just something about more "settled" characters that almost always tend to leave me wanting for *some* type of excitement.

Instead, we got tons of on-page time devoted to either Nate's wedding planning trials and tribulations or Flynn's rescue service adventures.

What we did not get,

Sometimes you read the first page of a book and you immediately know the book isn’t for you. That happened to me here. The writing style instantly confused me and I don’t like not knowing what’s going on and that I have to guess where we are and what people are doing.

The premise of this story sounded so interesting, but it was like it was a completely different book than what the blurb said. There was almost no fake boyfriend thing going on and this was most definitely not a funny book (as I wou

Based on my previous experiences with this author, I happily preordered this book. But then... early reviews started coming in, and they were less than enthusiastic. So I canceled the preorder and decided I'd wait to sample it first.

It was obvious from the sample that this book would not be for me. But did that stop me? Nooooooooo. I was stubbornly determined to read it anyway, to give it a chance. I wanted to like it, dammit! And I wasn't going to let reality get in the way of that.

I absolutely adored this foray into a contemporary romance from TA Moore. It was engaging and the main characters are awesome. There's definitely a broken hero-boy from the wrong side of the tracks falling for that one gorgeous guy who seems to wear his heart on his sleeve vibe.

Read it straight through. I really liked this.

And yeah, Nate's kind of a silver fox at a young age but hell, the guys in our family get silver in their hair in high school. I LOVED the lighthouse and the search and rescu

This is a fake boyfriend romance about a guy who doesn't want a boyfriend but wants the people around him off his back so he asks the one guy everyone but his mom seems to dislike to play along and ends up falling for him was cute, and had some humor, but ultimately wasn't my cup of tea.

Michael Mola does a good job providing distinct character voices for each character and the pacing of the audiobook flows well. There are some twists and turns, some tension and light angst, and Mola highlights

First good book for all the summer. It took me a lot of trials to find it, I was tired of writing bad reviews. It's up to you to try it ... or not but I was happy during the reading and that's enough for me.

So weit, so gut. Das Objekt seiner Begierde ist leicht gefunden, ...more
This should have been a winner - well-written MCs, decent snappy dialogue, and the sort of claustrophobic setting that should have hot-housed a pacy plot. But the MCs didn't spend nearly enough time together, and the sorta-plot meandered too much. I was really looking forward to this, too.

Darum geht's:

I did enjoy the setting and atmosphere of this story a lot, a small village on an island in the UK. The village is filled with close-knit, gossipy residents that shaped a distorted image of Flynn to make him seem the right choice to fill a bad-boy boyfriend role for Nate. Nate’s reasoning was rather flimsy to support the premise but I tried to roll with it. The characters of these two men didn’t quite meet the expectations I had for them though. They didn’t feel like men in the vicinit
It pains me to say that for all the premise and general idea were to my liking, “Wanted - Bad Boyfriend” just didn’t work for me. The appearance portrayal of the characters were definitely of my preference: late 30s/early 40s with grayish hair, not to mention opposite personalities. But heck, I just couldn’t warm up to either Flynn nor Nathan. Both struck me as reckless and insouciant. Their quick “adjustment” to being fake boyfriends was suspicious - I mean, it wasn’t like they socialized or on ...more

Desperate times, call for desperate measures...

at least that's what Nathan Moffatt decides when he gets fed up with everyone and I do mean everyone because Nathan lives in a small town on an island...Ladies and Gentlemen...let the gossip begin...

So when wedding planner Nathan Moffatt decides he's had enough of people trying to marry him off, logically his solution is that he needs to change their thinking and make everyone want him t

I loved the blurb for this story as the fake boyfriend trope always intrigues me. Flynn Delaney, the bad boy mechanic on the island of Ceremony, would make the worst boyfriend possible for Nate, an event coordinator, so to get his mother and friends off his back, Nate sets out to convince Flynn to be his fake love interest.

Only for a while, right? That’s what they all say. This story followed the

I really enjoyed this book. BIG word of caution however - I saw that many reviewers didn't like Nate, so seek out other reviews for balance. I had no problem with Nate whatsoever, but the tastes differ. Moreover, I have read the previous books by this writer, and she usually goes for subtle chemistry, once again, either works for you, or it doesn't . For me it worked well in other books and worked well in this one. So, Nate is tired of everybody under the moon wanting him to get a boyfriend and ...more

I enjoy a fake relationship story and I am a fan of T.A. Moore’s writing, so I was eager to check out Wanted–Bad Boyfriend. Moore gives us a nice sense of both of these men and their personalities. They are both quite likable guys and their characters are well developed and interesting. I could believe in the development of their relationship, and even as they start off faking it, it isn’t long before the chemistry between them begins coming through. I also enjoy

Flynn the so-called bad boy of Ceremony Island. He ex-army, a mechanic and rescue member. There's a big mystery why everyone on the island seems to dislike him. He doesn't call anyone out on their bad behavior except once when he catches two women gossiping about him and tells one to go ahead and spill the gossip cause "you know you want to." Flynn puts up with a lot of crap from the islanders and I never could get why because even when he did good he didn't get recognition.

This was a total miss for me. If you follow my reviews you know I need dialogue in my books. This book was filled with mindless details of things I cared nothing about. Pages and pages with no dialogue. I couldn't connect with any of the characters. Nathan and Flynn didn't act like middle age men they seemed more like early 20s. There was some sex but not enough to keep me interested and I never figured out why Flynn was supposedly such a bad

I absolutely loved this book. TA Moore captured the feel of the island and the romance between Nate and Flynn was both frustrating and delightful as they tangled through their past impressions and burgeoning desires. I loved the lighthouse and even the wedding being planned around disaster after disaster. This book is hot, light-hearted and a page turner all in one.

Splendido. Wonderful.

This was definitely a positive surprise. From the reviews and the blurb, I didn't expect too much.
I do like the fake boyfriend trope and thought this might be a nice distraction for an evening or two.
At the end I got much more. The main characters were loveable, as were the secondary ones and the setting on a British island. I especially liked that the development of the story was quite believable. I really don't like if after one night, our main character is deeply in love with his fake boyfrie

3.5 stars - I was given a copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.

I’m a bit conflicted about this book. I loved both Nate and Flynn and they are a pretty perfect match. But the title and blurb promise a story about a fake bad boyfriend and Flynn is almost perfect from the start. Nate’s best friend is at times a pretty bad friend. Nate’s aristocratic boss is a bad man at times but Nate and Flynn are just two men nearing middle age who enjoy the connection they find with each other.

Definitely the first fake boyfriend book I’ve read where not only is the pitch “hey, you’re considered the worst guy on the island; do me a solid and pretend to date me so people will leave me alone”, but the pitcher somehow never though it would be offensive. So begins the tale of Nate and “bad boyfriend” Flynn. On Ceremony island, one of the biggest past times for the residents is gossip, and Flynn provides them plenty of fodder just by existing. Between having left the island for twenty years ...more

I have to say that this was a good book with a few twists towards the end that I did not see coming at all. That’s what I love about books. Anything can happen and it usually does!!!

Nate is a wedding planner. He loves his job of making people’s dreams come true for their happy day. It is a day that he wants each and every client to walk away from with a memory of the day that they will never forget.
