I am a sucker for falling for your brother's best friend / friends to lovers romance stories. This book checked both those boxes on my list. It was an okay read for me. I enjoyed it and still I would had changed things if I could🙃
I’ve always enjoyed this authors writing, so she didn’t disappoint. I did enjoy these characters, so many good attributes, I would have added more to help me with this story line and to answer more my own mind. I didn’t enjoy the first half as much as the last half but ...more

Enjoy this book very much. This is a NA romance. The story of brother's best freind. So it has some forbidden romance to it. I like both Finley ans Ashton. Both of them deserve so much of their HEA.
The story and the plot twist is also good. Although th conflict resolves too quickly. The chemistry is also good and not OTT conversation.
Overall this is a wonderful read.

I’m so excited to be back in the Chasing Butterflies series world! Technically this is not a part of that series, but it is in the same world and characters from the other books are mentioned. And Sawyer’s brother Finn is in it! He’s one of my favorite characters.
Terri dives into some very important topics that are going on in today’s world and she does it beautifully.

„Together was my destiny
Forever is my goal”
Oh, how much I would love for Shep to write me a song and sing it in my ear... Unfortunately this boy has his sweetheart and she will listen to his serenades. Songs for Cricket is a touching story in New Adult genre, which contains perfectly measured doses of romance and drama. Because without a bit of drama it would be boring, right?

This was the first book from Terri Laine that i have read and I really liked it. It was a friends to lovers/sports/brother's best friend story. Finley and Shepard grew up together and lived together due to his family issues. They ended up going to the same college and why they were there, some major things went down with Shepard and they had to fight to prove that he was innocent. Once you get started you won't want to put it down. You get sucked into the story and you want to see if they will b

Shep's girl sometimes just has to speed him up a little, "I glanced down at her with a crooked smile. “Hopeful. But if you don’t—” Her hand around my ***k was answer enough. “I have to get this on if you want me to eff you.” Shep's girl is often amused by his embarrassment, "she pulled me down for a hug and kissed my cheeks like she’d done when I was a boy. “Mom,” I said, a heat coloring my cheeks. Finley only grinned at my embarrassment." I liked this book, I loved the characters hopefully this

So I have to be honest I was a little nervous to read this story. Since this is based in the same setting as Terri's Chasing Butterflies series, Layton University, I was afraid this was going to be much like those books.
And in the beginning of this story I thought it was similar. I almost gave up reading it because I was doing more eye rolling than reading, ...more

Coming of Age
Finley and Shepard grew up together; literally in some ways. Due to his father’s convictions Shephard had moved in with the Farrow’s until he finished high school. He was best friends with Finley’s triplet brothers August and Cooper. Finley grew up running with the boys playing football and anything else the boys were up to.

Songs For Cricket by Terri Laine is a falling for your brother's best friend / friends to lovers romance. And I LOVE these type of romances!!
Finley, Shepard, August and Cooper. Head off to college together. And while Shepard has secretly been in love with his best friends August, and Cooper's sister, she's been secretly in love with him. A Your-Mileage-May-Vary (YMMV) Review
With sports and music in the same novel, I thought I’d finally found a New Adult novel that I could come away liking. Unfortunately, Songs for Cricket isn’t going to be that novel.
Songs for Cricket is told in first person POVs of Finley, the young woman who wants to make her college football team, and Shepard, her brother’s best friend who she’s crushed on forever. And this is problematic because the narrative is extremely stingy in providing detai ...more

I really enjoyed this one. It sucked me in from the first chapter. I love an unrequieted love story and a brother's best friend romance. This book was that and so much more!

I enjoyed this new spinoff to the other series with a whole new set of charactes. Shep and Finley were sweet and while there was some angst it wasn't too much. Looking forward to the next books and hoping we get Finn's too.

Sometimes the tension in a New Adult drives me crazy, because the dumb decisions the characters make based on what they think the other romantic interest is thinking. This story pushed that limit just enough. About the time I was ready to start sighing and getting irritated, things came together.
And these characters are very likable. There are elements here that are new: girl wants to make the football team, girl is a triplet with 2 brothers, boy is a football player who aspires to be a musicia ...more

This book took place in the world of the Chasing Butterflies Series but with the younger generation from Sawyer and the gang. I absolutely loved that we’re brought back to the place where everything started, and even though there were now different characters I still felt the lingering presence of Ashton and the others. Especially since the new group took up residence within the walls where Ashton, Sawyer, Chance and Kelley lived while attending Layton University. And now Finn, Sawyer ...more

Ah, young love! The shy glances, the misunderstandings, the angst...what's not to enjoy? I love new adult romances for their young adult conflict paired with very adult sexual situations. It's a coming-of-age type of romance, where they're starting to feel out what a real relationship looks like and figuring out how to navigate "adulting" when it comes to their problems. Mom and Dad aren't there to fix things - you have to figure it out yourself. I loved the two main characters in this story, an

Finley is a part of triplets with her brothers August and Cooper. Also part of the group is their best friend Shepard. They are protective of each other, love each other, their sibling/friendship relationship is something people dream of. It was great reading their experiences and protective nature towards each other.

Finley and Shepard fought their feelings for each other for years and hid it from each other also. But others have seen it and was wondering when they will stop hiding. Except for her brother August. He didn’t know about their feelings until later on and he wasn’t happy that his best friend and sister got together.
But before all that these two were back and forth, drama and they were annoying at times with not seeing each other’s feelings. Then after all the hardship they got together but then t ...more

This story will definitely wow you. It is not your typical boy meet girl and they fall in love. This is a story of childhood love that finally finds its way to each other.

I am such a fan of the friends to lovers genre. Falling for your brothers friend and having grown up together is always a lovely story of discovery. Finely and Shep are just that couple. You will fall in love with their friendship and watch them make their way towrds one another . Yes as always the little sister is off limits but sometimes fate has a way of taking you places you never imagined .

5 STARS FOR SONGS FOR CRICKET!! This book will hit all your emotion buttons and the characters are perfect. The story of Finley and Shepard is forbidden, but it is hard when you love someone. There are tough subjects this book hits on, but so worth the read, perfectly executed by this author. You definitely need to 1-Click this book.

Finley Farrow is a triplet, she is off to college with her brothers and their best friend the boy she's been in love with forever. She tries out for the football team and gets the boy. I loved the dynamic of the triplets. Hated the overprivileged girl who causes Shephard trouble when he turns her down.

“Read” this book as an audiobook, and it was quite nice. Since it’s a dual point of view, there was a male reader and a female reader–first time for me, and it worked (although the male voice sounds much older than the freshman he’s supposed to be…). There could have been some background noises–especially music, as the title refers to Shepard’s hobby–but it’s okay.
As for the story itself, it was a cute one. I enjoyed the kids’ hesitations as well as their passion–for music and/or football as wel ...more

This is my second book by Terri E Laine, and I am just enamored with her writing. I was a little cautious thinking it may be too young for me, but this romance hits all the points I enjoy in a story. We have the Farlow triplets, and their friend, Shepard going off to start their first year of college. To stay with the boys, and be with Shep, her long time crush, Finley tries out for the football team and makes it. Socially unacceptable to be a girl playing football, Finley finds herself in for a

She not only wows with a college sports story where a female makes it as a college football player, but one in which a young woman makes it her mission to ruin more than one young mans lives because of a past of not being believed.
