As a German American, this delightful Christmas read had my attention since Jamal had worked as a pastry chef on a German cruise ship and he enjoyed visiting German Christmas markets. As a teen I worked in a German bakery, so I identified with Mr. Gray the owner of the Twinkle Bakery. This was a quaint story that had me cheering for Kelly and Jamal. Their second chances are so sweet. This series books 0 to 7 was romantic and entertaining. The "Candy Beach series is almost finished too. The Christmas setting was the perfect back drop for this love story. The cinnamon rolls, muffins, coffee and cookies and donuts sound appealing. There is always the theme of forgiveness and that is definitely needed in 2020. ...more

Enjoyable romance novella once again with a bakery that plays a role. I have given the others in this series 4's, but the first chapter of this one set the wrong tone for me as Kelly the female main character walks in on her fiance making love to another woman with a little bit of detail which was a bit offputting. Also there were several steamy kisses.
