Carrie Ann Ryan takes a difficult topic and gives us a story that is filled with hope, love, and forgiveness. Five Stars easily given to Roxie and Carter's journey to finding what they had lost and getting their second chance at forever.

This is book 3 in the Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs series and I recommend that you read the first 2 before reading this one. Otherwise you may not understand things that are talked about in this book that happened in the previous books. We finally get Roxie and Carter's story and let me tell you, bring the tissues because you will need them when you understand exactly what happened between them! Roxie and Carter have drifter further and further apart and neither know what to do, until it's a ...more

    This book.
    Dear god.
It’s breathlessly, painfully, hopefully and genuinely amazing. It takes you on a roller coaster of emotions. It leaves you gasping, crying, screaming for more. For the characters and their circumstances and yourself as a reader. Tears were shed with this one and I don’t cry often.
Watching Roxie and Carter try to find their new normal. Watching their family try to push them for better. Watching their love grow and recede and prosper was such an intense and heart wrenching re

I'm going to start by saying that this book was hard to read, and took me a bit longer to get through than normal, only because of the depth of emotions that were involved in this book. But, in the end, I'm so glad I read Roxie and Carter's story, because it is so full of emotion, so full of hope, renewal, and forgiveness. Roxie and Carter were happy together, until they weren't. Something happened, and ripped their world apart. This book is all about what happens when happily ever after, just i ...more

I found this really hard to rate and review. On one hand I absolutely love CAR and most of her books I loved the way the book was written and included very well into the current series but I just didn’t jell well with Carter and Roxi, even though I’ve been waiting to find out what all drama between them was all about.
I know not every relationship is easy and needs working at but I just felt that it was all unnecessary because of there lack of there communication and they hurt each other and the

Jagged Ink is the third book in the Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs series. Roxie is the youngest of four, and has always been surrounded by lots of protective family ready to lend a hand. But Roxie is constantly wanting to prove her independence and her capability to herself and pushing it onto her husband Carter. Carter has been an orphan since his parents died when he was 18. He knows what it means to have nothing and have to survive. He also knows what it meant to have a family again and be ...more

Jagged Ink was very repetitive and slow in the beginning which made it somewhat difficult to get into. The fact that it contained a trope that I'm not overly fond of, miscommunication didn't help matters, that said I did enjoy the latter part of this story.

Break out the tissues and the wine. This book will tear you up and make you cry for the first half then it will slowly rebuild stronger than ever and leave you crying happy tears. I’d been waiting for this book but I was not ready for the emotional ride the author takes us on but boy what a ride.

This is an emotionally charged story that captivated my attention and kept me turning the pages. The story is a refreshing change in that it’s about an established couple that hits a real rough patch and needs to find their way back to each other. I was on an emotional rollercoaster while reading this story.

Carter and Roxy have featured in the previous books in this wonderful series but this book is all about them, I feel you should read the previous book first though because you will get more from this story if you have, but that said I supposed you could read it as a stand-alone.

This is a story which broke my heart whilst reading it, so much pain and strife, it really is terrible when you think you have found your perfect partner but things aren't how they should be. It's a story about none commu

This is a great second chance romance story. It is romantic and gut wrenching in the same book. Roxie Montgomery and Carter Marshall start off this newest book married. There is a sense right away that their marriage is in trouble. Carter is burned in a fire saving Roxie's sister. The tension between Carter in Roxie is palpable. When Carter gets home from the hospital, he notices divorce papers sitting out. What has Roxie done? Carter becomes even more cut off from Roxie. He loves her but is lov ...more

The first half of this book tore my heart apart and the second half put it back together. Roxie and Carter were already married, but had been drifting apart because of a traumatic event that they experienced. Their marriage was pretty much over because of how they distanced from each other after this event. Neither knew how to communicate with the other and that is what lead to one of them filing for divorce. Now, you can't read a Montgomery Ink story without a HEA, and Carrie Ann Ryan definitel ...more

I have wanted this book since Roxie and Carter were first introduced to us in book 1 of the series. They were already together, already married, and something was wrong, but we had no idea what. I needed to know what that something was.
This book, while holding all the key Carrie Ann Ryan romance musts... true love, passion and desire, this book was more about inner demons and battles, lack of communication between the main characters. There was less dialogue and interaction between anyone other

Carter and Roxie's story was different than your typical boy meets girl romance. Molly and Carter are already married and thru previous books there has been that underlying tension that there was a conflict buried under the surface. They kept their friends and family in the dark and trying to pretend all was well. I was so curious to know what they were hiding from everyone else. I won't spoil it for anyone but this was a great read. Molly and Carter have to decide if their marriage is worth fig ...more

Make sure you have some tissues, because this book had me with the ugly crying through the first third of it. Then some more tears until I hit the mid-way point. From there on in, hope sparked; smiles happened; sexiness came out to play; love grew, it grew again, it grew new, it grew stronger, better, more honestly and pure than it had been able to grow before. A happy ever after is never guaranteed, but once knocked down, if you decide to get up, you can fight for it. Even if the person you’re ...more

Jagge Ink is the third and final book is the Colorado Springs Montgomeries series. We already know so much and yet so little about youngest sister Roxie and her husband Carter. We know that they have been going through some tough times, but not why; we know that he was injured in a fire saving her sister, but not what happens next.

This book dealt with some difficult topics, delicately, but that changes the mood of the book; you feel the angst of uncovering their secrets and figuring out how they

Grab you tissue! I was hooked from the very beginning. Roxie and Carter love each other but communication is pretty much non existent and Roxie has been pushing Carter away for awhile. Why? Well, no spoilers but they have some deep poop that needs to be talked about. They have to hit rock bottom before they can begin the climb to discover who they are to each other again. Carter being burned saving Thea rocked Roxie to her core, but can that help bring them together? Or does the bottom fall out? ...more

I've been waiting for Roxie and Carter's story since reading Fallen Ink, but honestly, I was a little disappointed by Jagged Ink.

    Here's why.
The first half of the book mainly focused on Roxie's and Carter's introspection, and while I know that was truly needed for both of them, I felt like it could've taken up a lesser portion of the book.

When they finally decided to DO something, I absolutely loved it. Connection, chemistry, conflict, all the things Carrie Ann Ryan does so well...and with a MARR

I have anticipated this book since we met Roxie and Carter in Fallen Ink. We have hints that they were struggling, yet no further information. This book was a page turner and it was took me on an emotional rollercoaster. Both characters are hurting so much and can't talk to anyone to help open the lid of their emotions to begin the healing. Once the lids were cracked then the healing began. This story reminds you that when you isolate yourself you take your biggest cheerleaders out of the pictur ...more

OMG!! Even if this rips your heart out at times, I just loved it! It's such a fabulous look at a relationship and how two people can drift apart with out even realizing it and the journey they take to find themselves, and each other again. Love isn't easy, and Carter and Roxie are definitely not easy! They love each other so much, but they can't find the words to convey that. They have to go through hell and back to finally realize they only want each other. I don't want to over simply the story ...more

I must admit I was kinda depressed for about half of this book. It has been obvious for several books now that Roxie and Carter have been having a tough time of it. This book takes place in the same timeframe as some of the others and tells the stories from Roxie's and Carter's POV. Roxie's family has been trying to give the two space to work things out, but the couple has gotten so far inside their own heads that things are deteriorating. It will take a lot of work, and maybe just a tad of inte ...more

This book is on the emotional side. A good half of the story occurs as Roxie or Carter’s thoughts, not dialogue. That made it a slow start for me. If you’ve gone through a divorce before or you’re in a rocky relationship then you might identify well with this story. I was really having a hard time with it until the dialogue picked up. It was depressing.

Another wonderful Montgomery Ink story. This one started with some issues with Carter and Roxie. They admitted they loved each other, but something had happened that caused their communication to break down. It got to the point where they didn't talk at all. Both were miserably unhappy. The story told both of their points of view. It was very sweet everything Carter did to try and make their relationship work again. Also it reminded all of us that communication needs to happen to keep a relation ...more

As I first started reading i couldn't believe how self centered Roxie was and Carter had problems as well. But, when Carter got his act together i like the way he went to Roxie and inform her they had to talk and she needed to listen. It was very heart warming the way they went on dates and worked there way back to each other. I loved how Carrie Ann never disappoint the way her stories build with drama and then always have a beautiful ending. You want a great read then read a book from Carrie An ...more

Wow. The first part of this tale is not an easy read. There is a lack of hope and overwhelming sadness that just permeates the whole story. And the repetition of the respective positions just serves to underscore that feeling. And although frustrating, Ms Ryan kept this on just the right side of exasperation.

This is a story that has been hinted at in other books. And you will probably work out what the cause of their problems was. But that doesn't detract from the emotion layed within the pages.
